Dentastick? "Momma" Culpa. Bird Feathers? Culpa Canina.

One can understand why "Momma" mistook Reilly's half of a dentastick for a "nasty", although she later apologized to Reilly for mistakenly trying to take her dentastick—and no wonder that Reilly clenched the dentastick in her jaw and kep turning her head away from "Momma"!

Reilly also clenched her jaw when she somehow left two cardinal feathers down to their rachises and quills—and "Auntie Michelle" has no clue how Reilly got the bird feathers! By the way, "Momma" and "Auntie Michelle" are fairly certain that Reilly tried to eat only bird feathers that she found by the birdfeeder and not any actual birds.

PS Besides not letting any puppy—especially any small-breed puppy—eat feathers, follow other safety precautions (including not letting your puppy eat any other "nasties") to let your puppy live long and prosper¹—no matter whether he or she is in his or her pre-adult, adult, or senior years.

By the way, it really wasn't that long ago when Reilly celebrated Hanukkah 5776, is it? (She hates "Momma" when "Momma" makes her wear her tallit v'kippahor anything elsev'ima lah ohevet b'kal mikreh.)

Guest Post By Rachel Wheeler: Immigration Court Trends for the USA in 2016

(Note: In light of the issues surrounding DACA and the travel ban, this post—which Rachel Wheeler wrote on July 20, 2017—is very significant and timely. Although Rachel wrote the post regarding 2016 immigration trends, the 2016 immigration trends and the then-to-be-affected 2017 immigration trends played a key role in the 2016 Election.

(Of course, the legitimacy of the 2016 Election results is another discussion—and I've made clear my positions regarding the 2016 Election results, DACA and the travel ban, and other matters regarding the fallout of the 2016 Election.)

Immigration Court Trends for the USA in 2016

Each year the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) publishes a statistical year-end review on immigration court matters. Released last month, the FY 2016 Yearbook highlights several significant trends that appeared over the past 12 months.
An Increase in Matters Received
Last year, 14% more matters were received by the Immigration Courts compared to 2015. ‘Matters received’ covers a range of violations and applications pertaining to immigration law: Bonds that require payment, formal requests from deportation, and motions to reopen, reconsider, or re-calendar various applications and appeals.
More than 200,000 Matters Completed
A 4% increase in matters completed shows that the courts are effectively handling the matters presented to them. It also proves that they are processing at a faster rate than the previous year. Of all matters received, those completed fell into four main categories:

Granted some form of relief – This pertains to an immigration judge’s decision to grant relief or protection from removal to an immigrant otherwise vulnerable to forced expulsion. Roughly 17,000 individuals received such grants throughout 2016 and therefore are able to remain in the USA.

Order of deportation – After the decision to expel an immigrant has been passed, the DHS becomes responsible for their physical removal. Deportation cases generally arise when the Immigration Naturalization Service (INS) finds the country was entered illegally, or alternately entered legally yet in violation of one or more visa terms. Over 96,000 deportation and removal decisions were made last year.

Terminated Cases – Terminated cases arise for a variety of reasons. Often, they occur if the immigration judge finds that the DHS is lacking evidence for the removal of an immigrant. As a result, the decision to terminate a case is made. More than 23,000 cases were terminated by immigration judges in 2016.

Officially Closed Matters – This remaining category covers Administrative Closure of immigration cases, Failures to Prosecute, Other Administrative Completions, and Temporary Protected Statuses. The total of these occurrences in 2016 came to slightly over 48,500 cases.
Skilled Workers Choose the United States

Interestingly, inventors chose the United States as their priority destination over all other first world nations between 2000 and 2010. Recent research shows that 190,000 migrants holding global patents for a wide range of products moved to the USA. In the same period, only 10,000 brought their futures (and inventions) elsewhere.

Furthermore, 47% of the increase in the United States workforce in the past decade can be attributed to immigrants. 22% of healthcare and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) occupations were taken up by immigrants. This proves a strong tendency for people to move to the United States not only to pursue the ‘American Dream’, but also to further their career in skilled areas. In doing so, they also strengthen the domestic economy.
The Language of Immigration

Of all the completed matters presented in immigration courts in 2016, 91% came from just five of the 258 languages spoken in these courts. The highest of these was Spanish, accounting for 76% of all completions, followed by English (10%), Mandarin (4%), Punjabi (1%) and Arabic (0.6%).

Recent trends in both general immigration figures from the EOIR and Migration Policy Debate papers show the importance of the immigration vetting process. Additionally, they attest to the need for professional translation services for immigration courts and patent processing.

An Reply To An Email That "Momma" Received This Morning, And An Incidental Note

By the way, "Momma" blacked out the email address of the emailer in question, as well as replaced one word in the email and blacked out the puppy's name to protect the emailer's privacy—and she is publishing the email here because the questions could really be FAQ questions, given that they were well-thought-of questions:

Hi, Dr. and Mrs. Halari:

Per your queries:

1. Joyce was and is a wonderful, loving, knowledgeable, and competent breeder. "Love Little Dogs" is truly an honest and accurate name for her website. By the way, we referred neighbors (Shelby's owners) to her, and they in turn referred other neighbors (Solo's owners) to Joyce. (Also, please tell Joyce that Reilly, Camille, Shelby, Solo, and Fenway are all doing well. I should mention, too, that Camille and Shelby are maternal sisters, and "Tootsie's [Camille's and Shelby's mom's] grandmother is Apple's [Reilly's mom's] sister.")
2. Reilly and Camille each adjusted well to being brought home. Reilly was not brought home until she was three days short of nine weeks old, and Camille was not brought home until she was 10 weeks and five days old.
3. They've been very good; thank you for asking.
4. Yes. Smaller dogs will have more risk for issues such as luxating patella and UTIs, for example, though that is a genetic-based risk and not due to breeder fault.
5. Yes. I'd read up on dog ownership, talk to the vet, talk to neighbors and loved ones whom've owned dogs, and certainly talk to Joyce :-).
6. Yes, though that's also genetic. For example, Reilly is allergic to heartworm pills (We ended up opting for heartworm vaccines, a booster shot of which she got yesterday)

Thank you,

PS Admittedly, this is at least a small comfort for what "Momma" has been enduring of late—and not to mention that Reilly has been a lifesaver through all that "Momma" has endured¹.

¹Including confusion re what a certain someone wants. Note to him, by the way:

Tengo algunes preguntas muy cándidas y una admisión cándida para tí, si me permite te preguntar las preguntas; y lo siento si son demasiada francas. A esto punto, necesito las preguntar y la admitir a tí, especialmente porque pronto llegará Yom Kipur (y no pienso que Jesús escribió mi nombre en el Libro de Vida sin razón):

  • ¿Amas o no amas mí y Reily?

Reilly the Little Trouper (And How Does She Deal With A Beleaguered "Momma"?)

"Momma" doesn't know how Reilly deals with herespecially for about 3.5 years now, including when she first came home (away from home—and "Momma" is amazed that she and Reilly have survived here, as "Momma" has been vocal against Tr**p and received death threats for being vocal against Tr**p for her, Reilly's, and others' sakes). Reilly has also dealt patiently with "Momma" as she's suffered with mental-illness flareups and been up at nights to even the point of exhaustion—even to the point at which she had a headache, threw up, and hardly slept last night—and with little, or even without, compassion from "Mom-Mom" (and at least "Mom-Mom", as if she's perfect, once again admitted what she thinks of "Momma"—"You're very disruptive to this household"—and "Momma" is certainly afraid that she won't be able to take Reilly with her if "Mom-Mom" kicks her out—and not that "Momma"'s perfect, though "Mom-Mom" insists on nonetheless using what "Momma" endures and how she doesn't always handle it perfectly as a way to make her suffer more¹, and verbal abuse certainly does not help "Momma" be a good "Momma" to Reilly),

Not that "Momma"'s recent breakdown over an ableist person whom's supposed to be helping her with something instead of telling her that all she's worth is her disability (like Hell "Momma" wants to have "office clerk" as a "long-term employment goal", despite that she's made clear that she can do more than be an "office clerk" just because of her disability—and "Mom-Mom" makes excuses for her (and "Momma" did and does not owe Reilly an apology for breaking down and inadvertently scaring her, let alone having "Mom-Mom" turn Reilly against her in that moment—and "Momma"'s well aware that her yelling and crying scared Reilly!

Whoopi Goldberg & Joy Behar Didn't Embarrass Sarah Huckabee Sanders

For "Salon" to even have that as their headline is embarrassing, as Sarah Huckabee Sanders has embarrassed herself—or at least should be embarrassed because of her behavior, including defending Tr**p and her father. Also, Sarah Huckabee Sanders doesn't "have to go out and defend those lies every day", as she willingly took the job as Tr**p's press secretary and decided that "Like father, like daughter" is okay in her case.

Both "Salon" and Joy Behar ought to be ashamed for even defending Sarah Huckabee Sanders, especially right after Joy Behar called her out for her behavior—and for Joy Behar to turn around and act like Sarah Huckabee Sanders is a victim, and "Salon"'s (not to mention others') promoting of Joy Behar's lie that Sarah Huckabee Sanders ""[has] to go out and defend those [Tr**p's and her father's pro-Tr**p] lies every day" is embarrassing—and "Salon" and Joy Behar are embarrassing themselves by defending Sarah Huckabee Sanders and, effectively, Tr**p and Mike Huckabee.

A Reflection Re "Heaven, 9/11 Memorial Version"

I can only imagine how, I suppose to a similar extent, my paternal grandfather's father and living siblings felt on September 11, 1922 and subsequent days. From what I understand, my great-great-granddad Julian Czarnecki was absolutely no hero—or if he was one, his bad facets outweighed his good ones. Nonetheless, his death must've really weighed on my great-granddad and his living siblings (one of whom would follow her father only slightly over 2.75 years later).

Great-Granddad was going to be 18 that October (and to compound the worst matters in his life, he turned 25 on a day on which a 25th birthday would not be joyous to anyone—Black Thursday). So on that birthday (and subsequent birthdays), he had to remember the loss of his father (with whom he had a conflicted relationship—or at least I'd be surprised if he didn't have a conflicted relationship with him—and subsequent birthdays would become even worse as the years passed and worse events kept happening—in fact, his 35th birthday had the fresh pain of Black Thursday's 10th anniversary and the only-almost-two-months old invasion of Poland).

As for Great-Granddad's youngest sibling, she wasn't yet even nine months old when Great-Great-Granddad died—and the oldest surviving one had, if you count 13 as the bat-mitzvah age, become a bat-mitzvah that year (and she was the one whom followed Great-Great-Granddad into death on June 23, 1925).

At least none of them were around to see 9/11. However, my great-granddad's widow—to whom he was quite abusive, and with whom she obviously had a conflicted relationship—was, and so were four of his five children (One died seven hours after birth, right before the 10th anniversary of his aunt Regina's death.). While I do not know whether my great-grandma ever met her father-in-law or her sister-in-law Regina, I know that she was well aware that September 11th always carried pain for my great-granddad—as carried every October 24th, and not just because of the September 11th before his 18th birthday—and both were born in Jewish homes (he in Anti-Semitic Polish Russia, she in an Anusi home in Ashley-Hanover Township, Pennsylvania) and raised in Anusi homes, and they thus knew the pain of every passing September 11th (on which Great-Great-Granddad may not have died had his family not disowned him for becoming an Anusi) and October 24th.

I can only imagine how the pain of every other September 11th hit her on 9/11, and I never did ask her because I didn't know our family story—not even that we were and are Jews—not to mention that I saw her only once every year from some time in the 90s until 2005, and I was dealing with an abusive dad (It's like the Passover question that the fourth child doesn't ask—he or she doesn't ask because he or she doesn't know how to ask or maybe even to ask at all.).

I wonder what she thought—or at least would've thought—if she heard this song—I also wonder the same about Pop-Pop (whom was sadly, as Granduncle Tony stated, "Like father, like son.") and Granduncle Tony (whom unexpectedly died on July 31 2014, three days after what would've been his mother's 101st birthday). I also certainly wonder what Great-Granddad would've thought and what Granduncle Red (Francis "Red" Czarnecki, whom died in 1985) would've thought (BTW, he was called "Red" because of his red hair—which, as I later found out, is, so to speak, a dead giveaway of if someone is Jewish in Poland, as is Brown hair for someone whom's a Brown-haired Jew, as Ethnic Poles are indigenously light-haired and light-eyed).

A Quick Update On Reilly & Camille

The "gwirls" are doing well and are back to normal. In fact:

  1. Both Reilly and Camille were back to normal within a day, and Reilly was back to normal within 12-18 hours!
  2. Both Reilly and Camille are their lovably-bratty and brattily-lovable selves.
  3. Both Reilly and Camille freaked out with the groundhog being back—in fact, Camille was scared of it when she went to try to "go potty" the night after the dental cleaning, and Reilly wanted to chase it yesterday!
  4. Reilly is back to her jealous self—she even zoomed into the family room at the right side of the couch and did a dominance show on Camille when Camille went to say "Hi!" to someone! It was surreal—like she was in a commercial or a movie, or a video game!
  5. Poor Reilly has to deal with "Momma", although (for good and bad) she tolerates her!

Why I Am Disappointed In Sadie Robertson, Even Though I Do Not Have An Eating Disorder

Sadie Robertson, one of the "Duck Dynasty" kids, struggled with (based on the way that it sounds) Bulimia, given that even her mother had no idea that she had an eating disorder (and especially those with paternal and maternal eyes can notice significant weight losses). Per "Frequently Asked Questions About Eating Disorders" per Johns Hopkins Medicine:

"Both anorexia nervosa and bulimia are characterized by an overvalued drive for thinness and a disturbance in eating behavior. The main difference between diagnoses is that anorexia nervosa is a syndrome of self-starvation involving significant weight loss of 15 percent or more of ideal body weight, whereas patients with bulimia nervosa are, by definition, at normal weight or above."

Why I am disappointed in Sadie Robertson, then, is her attitude re "tak[ing] authority over [her thoughts]":

"'The day I prayed for the Lord to enlighten my eyes to see His standard of beauty, is the day my whole life changed," she said. "Do these old thoughts come back from time to time? Absolutely, but it is my job to take authority over them.'"

For many fellow self-identifying Christians of Sadie Robertson with eating disorders and other mental illnessesⁱ, it's not as simple as the "Duck Dynasty" star makes it—and people like her whom use religion falsely give many a "Just pray and it'll mostly go away" idea to consider.
In fact, quite a few Christians and people in other religious groups with eating disorders and other mental illnesses think, "If only it were that easy!" and may even become antithetical toward religion as a result. Faith communities are supposed to be there to help those with eating disorders and other mental illnesses, not have an "Oh, ye of little faith; that's why you have a mental illness!"
Also, not everyone has the resources (e.g., money, groups of social networks, significant social status) that Sadie Robertson has. I even go as far as to add that Sadie Robertson may as well have kept her struggle with her eating disorder private instead of having talked about it in such a thoughtless and cavalier way.
As a Biblical proverb goes¹, "Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; [w]hen he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive." There is only foolishness in using religion to make light of serious problems, especially when the person whom makes light of the problem assumes at some level that she or he is the only one struggling with the problem.
One's making light of her or his her given mental illness (whether it is an eating disorder or another type of mental illness) with a "Pray for it to go away" attitude may even have a deadly affect on others, since "[d]eath and life are in the power of the tongue."
After all, people who feel like "I just don't have enough faith. I can't do this, anyway" may even commit suicide as a result²; and for people with eating disorders, suicide may come in the form of deliberately starving themselves to death. Sadie Robertson needs to remember that every time that she begins to assume that it's as simple as "Pray for it to go away" for everyone with eating disorders.

Including myself—and I myself have OCD/Anxiety, Depression, and ADD
¹ I quote the New King James Version, via Bible Gateway, here.
² I don't know whether this was a motive in the suicides of Great-Granddad Czarnecki, Great-Great-Grandma Rusnak's brothers Ferencz "Frank" and Andrȧs "Alexander" Foczko, and
Great-Great-Grandma Rusnak's father (Istvȧn Foczko; also "Focko"). My family's case was and is different, as we are Anusim and B'nei Anusim whose ancestors became and lived as Anusim due to Anti Semitism in Eastern Europe and the United States, and mental illness set offs and flareups in our family indeed have been affected by the dynamics of being Anusim and B'nei Anusimincluding the dynamics of family secrecies.

Excerpt From My Upcoming Book (Language Warning): "The Summary Of the Case For Saving The Old Farmhouse..."

Firstly, how the case to save the late Katherine Ushinsky Gajdos’ house is related to shit that I can’t make up:

1.    With my grandaunt Helen Gaydos Wojnar (z”l)—my paternal grandmother’s oldest sibling—being long deceased, her widower and children had decided to tear down her (and my grandmother’s) paternal grandmother’s old farmhouse down without even considering the historical ramifications of tearing down the farmhouse.
2.    Grandaunt Helen’s (and Grandma’s) sister MaryAnn once again told a classic bubbe meise that—I’m sure that—she still hasn’t told anybody: after all, the historical significance of the farmhouse begins with the fact that Anna née Jaszová was not “Maria Anna Yzchinski” by birth. As I mentioned in a telephone conversation and further explained to my father in a text message—since, as I type (on September 6-7, 2017/Elul 15-16, 5777), he’s visited one of Grandaunt Helen’s sons three times while he’s been down in Florida—I understandably wondered if Grandaunt Helen’s widower and descendants left up the farmhouse, which I’d seen the times that we were up on the former Gaydos farmstead (where the Gaydos-Wojnar cabin is).
3.     Bugs, rotting wood, excursions of wildlife within the farmhouse, apparently-common-across-Pennsylvania houses like that, and other given excuses for tearing down the Gaydos Farmhouse are no excuses at all.
4.    Until I brought up the possibilities of renovation or replica building, nobody even considered leaving up the farmhouse.

I gave my father the short version of the historical significance of the Gaydos Farmhouse:

“Mickey Haslin was Great-Granddad Gaydos' maternal cousin. They had the common grandparent of Anna (Szuszanna?) née Jaszová (Yashová), divorced from Jan Haszlinsky and remarried to Jan Uszinsky (Ushinsky). Her parents were Jan and Eva Polinová Jasz (Yash). She was Jewish as were her parents, and as was Jan Uszinsky.
“That is why Great-Granddad identified as "Russian"—his mom, Mickey Haslin's only parental aunt, was born as Katarina Szuszanna Uszinskyová to Slovakian-Jewish parents of Russian-Jewish descent in Gaboltov, Slovakian-Austrian Hungary. Mickey Haslin seems to have done the same—his father was George Hazlinsky, and not a single one of his kids was a "Mary" (even for the traditional Jewish usage for "Miriam". His kids were named Mercedes, Kathleen, and Michael.
“They used a mix of Ashkenazi and Sephardi naming customs, by the way—quite a few Ashkenazim overall, irrespective of beliefs re Jesus or amounts of Sephardi heritage, seem to have done this. "MaryAnn", BTW, could be used for "Miriam Chanah".) That alone makes the farmhouse significant if you ask me—i.e., the Crypto-Jewish paternal aunt of Mickey Haslin and widow of a Crypto Jew (a son of Jan and Anna Hommová Gajdosz) owned that farmhouse as a widow whom posthumously became the paternal grandmother-in-law to one of the three IRS agents whom would help bring Nixon down.
“Also, BTW, Ashkenazi Crypto Jews and their descendants (Anusim Ashkenazim v'B'nei Anusim Ashkenazim) are probably as numerous as Sephardi ones—even John Kerry would be John Kohn and Madeline Albright was born Madeline Korbelová, e.g.. Cameron Kerry is whom is called a "ba'al teshuvah", meanwhile, whereas John Kerry and Joan Kerry identify as Jewish Catholics; and Madeline Albright is a Jewish Episcopalian.”

In other words, the seven following simple words sum up any tearing down of the farmhouse of Katherine Susan Ushinsky Gaydos: a big mistake of literally-historical proportions!

So, At Least One Elderly Person Died In Her House During Hurricane Harvey's First Days In Houston...

Whatever language you speak:

  1. No, people! Check on your neighbors!
  2. ¡No, pueblo! ¡Cuidan a tus vecinos!
  3. לא, אנשים! ואהבת לרעך כמוך!
As I recall, the woman was 83 years old and couldn't just leave Houston! Thus, everybody in Hurricane Irma's path whom can help others needs to help those whom can't just evacuate from their homes and whom otherwise can't help themselves!

Generalized(!) Anesthesia, And How Reilly & Camille Are Doing

So, a worried "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" called Banfield this morning after "Mom-Mom" dropped off Reilly and Camille, and just got an update from "Mo. From what "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" heard:

  1. Reilly and Camille were under generalized (not local) anesthesia.
  2.  The surgery went on for 15 minutes, and occurred at about 10:30 or 11:30 ("Momma" heard at 9:22 that Reilly and Camille had to wait for one to two hours while the vet spayed two com-pup-triots of theirs.).
  3. This morning and as of now, both Reilly and Camille were and are fine. They were and are generally well behaved—they only barked when "Mom-Mom left".
  4. They're getting a normal heartrate and other normal vital signs back—their heartrate was low while they were under anesthesia(!).

Anesthesia? One Had Better Believe That....

Despite that Reilly's and Camille's previous teeth-cleaning surgery went well, "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" is scared for Reilly and Camille (as is "Auntie Michelle"/"Mimi"). Besides:

  1. Reilly and Camille are going to be dropped off at the vet at 7:00-7:30 in the morning.
  2. They will not have had treats since 7:30 tonight or their morning "num nums" at 7:00.
  3. They already don't understand why they can't have treats for "good peedies".
  4. Despite that Reilly is getting localized anesthesia and even did well with generalized anesthesia when she was spayed, Reilly is a 14.5-pound adult puppy whom could be easily adversely affected by anesthesia—and "Momma" as a 5'0"-5'1" human whom weighs about 124 pounds had an awful experience with anesthesia when she had an ITB Pump put into her (though it was mostly caffeine withdrawal that affected her to not hold even water down by the fourth day of recovery—although having to have the oxygen tubes put back in once after she woke up from the anesthesia was enough of a sign that the anesthesia affected her somewhat and made the caffeine withdrawal worse).
Scared-for-Reilly "Momma"? Scared-for-Camille "Auntie Nicole"? You bet, and both "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" and "Auntie Michelle"/"Mimi" ask people to pray on Reilly's and Camille's behalves.

Happy Labor Day From Reilly And Camille!

As Submitted To "The Atlantic": My Great-Grandfather Czarnecki Was a DREAMer Of His Day

Without Donald Trump flagrantly attempting to end "DACA", many DREAMers could live lives comparable to what my great-grandfathergiven his circumstanceslived. With Donald Trump attempting to end "DACA", many DREAMers are figurativelyand in some cases, literallyfacing down barrels of guns. In my great-grandfather's case, it was literalhis parents and he became Anusim to survive the pogroms, and this effectively caused my family (including his paternal grandmother, whom returned to Judaism as soon as she could return to Judaism) to disown them.

Great-Granddad was born a Czerniecki (Chernetski) in Tsuman, Ukraine (then Cumań, Wołyń in the Russian Pale) when his mother went to visit a cousin in Buzhanka in the Zvenyhorodka (Zvenigorodka) vicinity; and the only reason that his mother could travel back and forth between Zvenyhorodka and Lipsk nad Biebrzą (where they lived) is because Lipsk nad Biebrzą was in the Congress Poland part of Suwałki Gubernia. How his maternal grandparents left Stakliškės for Bosse, by the way, I'll never know: all I know is that a Morgovich relative of his maternal grandmother (a Margiewicz) died of tuberculosis on April 4, 1882, and they already had relatives (including ones whom were Anusim) in Suwałki Gubernia when his mother was born on June 26, 1882.

Speaking of "June 26, 1882", that was one of the very-few pieces of information that checked out on his father's naturalization applications—and he gave quite a bit of false information on them and other records, including . Finding the record for that Morgovich cousin (Shmuil Morgovich, z"l) and other records (and by having to use methods such as to reconciling any contradictory information on the various records) was what helped me figure out what information did check out and what information didn't check out. As for the information that didn't check out, Great-Granddad would've been deported back to Lipsk with his parents because of it had it been found out to be information that didn't check out—and Great-Great-Granddad knew fully well what he was doing in the instances when he lied—and despite being a Jewish farmer-turned-Crypto-Jewish-coal miner whom didn't have much of what we'd call schooling, he was smart enough to know that lying on official records and lying to compilers of official records (e.g., enumerators of Census records) was (and is) a felony that could (and can) get even a naturalized citizen considered to be a deportable illegal immigrant (and he had already tried to enter the country as "Julian Laczinsky" whom was headed to New Jersey. He was lucky that he as "Julian Zernetzky" whom was headed to Sugar Notch was not caught as being an illegal immigrant).

What helped save my great-grandfather (and subsequently his descendants) is that my great-grandmother was born here (technically as what one would call an "anchor baby", since her parents weren't fully honest on their records, either). Had he not married my great-grandmother, he would've been deported even if his father (whom died in 1922) was posthumously caught (and if his mother, whom wasn't always honest on her records, either, was even posthumously caught); and he married Great-Grandma Czarnecki (supposedly) on May 10, 1934 (even though the marriage license was never signed. I'm pretty sure that they probably had a secret Jewish wedding somewhere.), and this was after "United States v. Wong Kim Ark (and she was born to parents whom were Anusim and B'nei Anusim, and each of them had immigrated from Austria Hungary to New Jersey and then Ashley, Pennsylvania, where she was born).

As a descendant of a DREAMer equivalent and as a Fourth- and Fifth-Generation Pogrom Survivor, then, I'm speaking out for the DREAMers whom face figurative death and may face literal death if Trump fully gets his way—and by the way, both Great-Granddad and Great-Grandma subsequently lost relatives in the German part of the Holocaust (1933-1945) and the Russian part of the Holocaust (1922-1960; and some of the relatives in Russia died at the Augustow Resistance on July 5, 1945 and in the gulags—also by the way, that Stalin had his own "Final Solution" plan is now known, and the gulags did not close until seven years after Stalin's death.

PS As for after the Holocaust in Europe:

  1. One of Great-Grandma's uncles, Ǎǔgǔstinǔs Samuel Mǔnka, died in 1949 as a result of the Holocaust affecting him—by the way, "Munk", "Munka", and variants thereof are exclusively Jewish in Eastern Europe.
  2. One of Great-Granddad's relatives died in 1970 as a result of his health being affected by his constantly having to flee the Nazis and the Soviets in Lithuania.
Thus, my DREAMer and Non-DREAMer [family] (as the saying goes) saw it and [have] seen it before, and we know what "Never again" means for anybody and everybody—including DREAMers, at least quite a few of whom (I'm sure) are Sephardic Anusim and B'nei Anusim whom can trace their ancestry back to Anusim and B'nei Anusim in Colonial Spain and Colonial Portugal, and Ashkenazi Anusim and B'nei Anusim like my family whom aren't Jewish enough in the eyes of the Haredim to be allowed to make aliyah

PS Eric Trump's recent comments about his father's "depression" insult those like my great-grandfather—whom really did have Depression and committed suicide as a result of having Depression—and me, since I inherited the Depression partly from my paternal grandfather, whom was one of the ancestors whom passed it on to my father (and at least one other ancestor from whom we inherit Depression also committed suicide)

With All Due Respect To Rabbis Hier and Cooper...

Do they not get that, for instance:

  1. Nobody is making the comparison of Tr**p to ****** in any "casual" way?
  2. Tr**p has gone out of his way to express disdain and contempt for those for whom the Nazis also expressed disdain and contempt—among whom are Jews (including myself and Rabbis Hier and Cooper), those (including myself) whom have disabilities (including pre-exisiting conditions), and LGBTQ people (despite that, e.g., one's military service has nothing to do with whether one thinks of and/or attempts to make himself or herself to be of the opposite gender?)?
  3. Tr**p has garnered the support of those such as racist and xenophobic Joe Arpaio?
  4. Holocaust survivors—including immediate/First-Generation Holocaust survivors such as Eva Schloss—have spoken out and continue to speak out against Tr**p?
  5. Pogrom survivors—including Fourth-Generations one like myself—speak out against Tr**p? Even more so, a Second-Generation Pogrom Survivor whose been threatened by Tr**pites once tweeted the following:

In conclusion, then, Rabbis Hier and Cooper need to understand that nothing "casual" or otherwise flippant or unfair exists in comparing Tr**p to ******.

As Others Have Pointed Out Re Tr**p and Hurricane Harvey...

The best way that Tr**p could help (or at least could've helped) Texans and other Hurricane Harvey-affected people is to stay (or at least have stayed) out of the way and let Texans and other Hurricane Harvey-affected people help each other and receive help from people whom don't want to use Hurricane Harvey as a way to get their jollies off of others. After all, neither Tr**p nor anyone else needs to add to anyone's pain—including the pain of the family of six of the eight known hurricane victims—and Tr**p has enough happening with the Russian scandal and the "Washington Post" confirming that (forgive the misogynistic language) Putin (so to speak) is Tr**p's bitch, and thus has already added more pain to Hurricane Harvey-affected areas or the rest of the United States.

Working On "Follow Me" With Reilly, And An Incidental Note

"Momma" is working on "Follow me" with Reilly, and Reilly had "Follow me" basically had it down when she and "Momma" worked on it before. Reilly seems to be doing well with "Follow me" after going "potty" and when going inside to get a treat (Stubborn Camille is another discussion: she refuses to even listen to "Auntie Nicole" when "Auntie Nicole" tells her "Follow me". Then again, Camille can be overall stubborn—as, for example, she was last night when "Mimi" thought that she had a piece of plastic in her mouth. She gave her a hard time about checking for any plastic, too!).

As for going upstairs and following "Momma" at night, Reilly is still working on that—although she's mostly listened to "Momma" and earned the treat that she gets each time that she follows "Momma". "Momma" has to sometimes pull Reilly back and remind her, "You don't lead me. I lead you." or "You follow me; I don't follow you."

Incidentally and meanwhile, "Momma" has had horrid mental-illness flareups again due to confusion re a certain subject—while she thinks that she knows what a certain person wants, he has to tell her eventually (or does she have to ask him? Either way, someone has to budge and tell. Besides, she—for instance—doesn't look forward to getting older—let alone old—alone or continuing to detrimentally affect Reilly.)

An Impromptu "Catch" Session With Camille And Reilly

Even though this is well over the ~24-hours-period that "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma", it demonstrates un otro día a la casa de Camila Dominica y Reily Rosalita. Besides, "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma" was looking for writing fodder (since she knows that Camille and Reilly can provide writing fodder)—after all, for starters, she didn't want to keep resharing blog entries ad nauseum.

Of course, "Mimi"/"Auntie Michelle" insists that "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma" was being mean when some treats fell under one of the chairs and the family room coffee table, and when Reilly had to do the "How long can you stand?" trick as one of her tricks (Excuse "Momma" for not wanting Reilly's back legs to atrophy or otherwise be unable to function in her senior years!).

When Camille had practiced "Catch" a few days ago, she actually caught the treat at one point. She also caught the treat at one point tonight, and "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma" even had her watch Reilly a few times and tried to get Reilly to not steal Camille's treats (and as usual, some of the treats also fell under Reilly's stealth eye and quick treat-getting downswoop. "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma" also compensated Camille for unreachable and stolen treats.).

Just Some Highlights Of An ~24-Hours Period At Reilly's And Camille's House

  1. Cam's barking caused "Auntie Nicole" to have a myoclonus flareup and spill some wine on herself and the tableplace in front of her. Guess who got blamed, by the way?
  2. "Mimi"/"Auntie Michelle" just took Camille and Reilly for a walk by herself, and they're hard enough for even one person without a physical disability to handle alone. As "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma" suspected that "Mom-Mom" would be, "Mom-Mom" (who just came home from visiting some family members) is pissed (and "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma" told "Mimi"/"Auntie Michelle", "Good luck!")!
  3. In between the wine spill and "Mom-Mom"'s understandable reaction to "Mimi"/"Auntie Michelle"'s boneheaded idea: Camille and Reilly got to try some peas. Let's just say that each of them sitting and waiting for a peas, affecting a Google search, and getting half a peapod's worth of peas was enough to get especially Cam excited—she obviously ate too quickly and excitedly!
Just now: "Mimi"/"Auntie Michelle" just got back....as "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma" types....waiting....

"So, Mom took them from here. And guess who they saw?...They were practically perfect little angels for me, and they pretty well behaved when they saw Shelby!"

"She was not too pleased that I'd taken them on a walk myself....she just seemed insistent that I not take them by myself again....[S]he was very matter of fact...."

That was not the reaction that "Mom-Mom" had when she came home!

By the way, "Momma" and Reilly are continuing to pray for everyone whom is affected by Hurricane Harvey. They also hope that a picture of Reilly and Camille from National Puppy Day will cheer everybody up as much as possible given the circumstances.

Happy National Puppy Day 2017!

Happy National Puppy ("Dog") Day!

Despite "Momma"'s/"Auntie Nicole"'s rough morning, "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" is kvelling since she just found out that today's National Puppy ("Dog") Day¹ in the United States! Meanwhile, look for a National Puppy Day card later, since "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" has to have Reilly and Camille get their picture taken for a National Puppy Day card!

¹Since puppies are always puppies, whether Pre-Adult, Adult, or Senior Puppies

Tossing & Turning, And a Playful Reilly

As "Momma" couldn't get back to sleep because she had a certain subject and other subjects on her mind, she woke up earlier than she could have woken up. Slightly before that, a playful Reilly came upstairs to get a post-walk nap and nonetheless had quite a bit of energy. So, Reilly got into one of her playful spurts and affected "Momma" to conclude that going down downstairs and beginning her day was best.

A Few Highlights Of Reilly's And "Momma"'s Day, And A Quick Note

  1. Reilly turned 35/12 Gregorian years today. She may have marked that month birthday by getting into the bathroom trash again, and she certainly got into the bathroom trash—at least she kept most of the trash inside of the bathroom, and "Auntie Michelle" was probably whom left the bathroom door open.
  2. "Momma" finally got to get on a walk by herself on a weekday for once—of course, that's because "Auntie Michelle" was able to come home early 🙄.
  3. Speaking of "Momma" and "Auntie Michelle", "Auntie Michelle" wasn't exactly commendatory of "Momma" when "Momma" had to try to get Reilly away from a plate that "Auntie Michelle" broke—surprisingly, "Mom-Mom" supported "Momma" on that one, and of course "Momma"'s going to worry when Reilly tries to get near ceramic pieces to eat them!
As for the quick note:

  1. "Momma" and Reilly are praying for everyone whom will be affected by Hurricane Harvey. They also ask that those who stayed in the hurricane-affected areas look out for their loved ones and neighbors whom couldn't leave, get themselves, their loved ones and neighbors whom they can get to safety, and their pets to safety; and do whatever else they need to do be as little affected by Hurricane Harvey as possible.
  2. "Momma" should add that there are circumstances which explain what she wrote recently, although she won't get into details about those circumstances¹.

¹ Incidentallywithout going into details"Momma" will say that, oh boy, did she get a verbally-violent reaction to what she wrote. She understands the sentiments behind the reaction. Sill...

Originally On LinkedIn: I Don't Understand Why Some Professing Christians Don't Understand That...

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals correctly ruled in "Kennedy v. Bremerton School District".

Firstly, now-Former Coach Joe Kennedy made his praying an issue when he allowed other students to pray with him and gave them the impression that the Bremerton School District condoned it. Secondly, Former Coach Kennedy was at a public school as opposed to a religiously-affiliated one. The First, Ninth, and Fourteenth Amendments don't allow the imposition or prohibition of any religion; and then-Coach Kennedy could've prayed privately with the students in his office. Thirdly, the United States is still relatively "a free country, [and] you can do whatever you want" within certain bounds.

Fourthly—and most importantly—professing Christians—nominal and actual Christians alike—should expect persecution in even apparently-free countries. If a professing Christian really does believe the New Testament—and as for me, I believe the New Testament and have to ask—didn't Jesus say, for example, "In this world, you will have many troubles; but take heart—I have overcome the world?" and "The Power that is within you is stronger than the power in this world"?

Besides—and I as a Jewish Christian have to say this—I would think that fellow Jewish Christians of mine and gentile Christians would understand that we'd definitely get kicked out of institutions such as public schools today since we got kicked out of batim knesset and the Temple back then.

In conclusion, then:

  1. Professing Christians like Former Coach Joe Kennedy need to get used to the facts that the Constitution doesn't give professing Christians to cry foul especially when professing Christians are the ones whom are violating the Constitution,
  2. The Bible says that Christians are to expect persecution, and that whining when we get kicked out of places for praying—especially when the people who run those places choose not to just say, "Don't do that again; and just pray privately next time."—does not help—in this case, Bremerton School District chose to not say, "Just pray privately next time—or at least don't give students the impression that we as a school district condone staff- and faculty-led prayer in a way that imposes religion on the students."
  3. Since the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Former Coach Kennedy's violations of the Constitution, he ought to "[r]ender what is Caesar's unto Caesar, and render what is God's unto God."
  4. In other words—and forgive my unprofessional language—buck up, grow up, put away the childishness of crying "Unfair!" when you get rightly punished, and quit being bushot l'otem mi lo Notzrim or shandas far di vas zenen nisht Kristn.

I made this using public-domain pictures and Powerpoint. My point: keep the imposition of religion out of public workplaces, especially if you're Christian and well know that you could get persecuted even for being Christian.

Tr**p, Netanyahu, Modi, and Others...And Let's Just Focus On Tr**p & Netanyahu For Right Now

As for the case regarding Modi re Tr**p and Netanyahu, that'll come up another time—I haven't forgotten that Modi's a Hindi supremacist and Hindu extremist or that that's why Tr**p and Netanyahu. As for right now, I'm focusing on why the aspiring Neo ****** and Stalin that Tr**p is allies himself with Netanyahu.

As for Tr**p and Netanyahu:

  1. Both have a clear and vested interest in destroying Israel—that is, both the Jewish people and the Jewish state—the United States' strongest ally. In hardly-disguised-as-chiloni Netanyahu, RINO and CINO Tr**p has found a kapo—and the for-all-intents-and-purposes strip search at the Kotel all the more proved that. After all, what's a better way to try to turn even some Zionists against the (nominally-)Zionist State than by sexually molesting women simply for being women, let alone praying at the Kotel?
  2. Each wants to empower his respective group by demonizing whom he considers the undesirables, whom he would consider as the desirables were they not opposed to what he's doing, and what is known as diversity.
  3. Each, respectively, wants to derepublicanize and dedemocraticize his state (Remember that the U.S. is a federal republic in contrast to parliamentary-supposedly-democratic Israel.).
  4. Both are racist, sexist, ableist, and Anti Semitic (with Netanyahu being a real self hater), and otherwise bigoted. By the way, a former rosh yeshiva has cited what Netanyahu is allowing Haredi men to do to deaf widows as one example of what's happening in Israel.
  5. Both had supremacist fathers: Tr**p had Fred Tr**p, and Netanyahu had Ben-Zion Netanyahu.
I could list more commonalities between Tr**p and Netanyahu, though you get the point—although there is actually one more commonality that I want to list: that both are democrats in the purest sense of the word. For instance:

  • Democracy was founded in Ancient Greece as a political system for free-born Athenian men.
  • In the same way that the Athenians counted only free-born Athenian men—and especially the rich ones, prominent ones, and sycophantic ones—as citizens, Tr**p and Netanyahu count only their respective groups as citizens.
  • Women, slaves and former slaves, and slaves' and former slaves' descendants; and Non-Athenian men (free-born—including Spartan—men and their descendants, and slaves, former slaves, and slaves' and former slaves' descendants) did not count as citizens. In the same way, Tr**p counts only those whom fit his version of the Nazi ideals as citizens; and Netanyahu counts only those whom fit his and Agudat Yisra'el's ideals as citizens.
  1. For Tr**p, only "Aryan" men and boys whom are Tr**pites are citizens, and Non "Aryans" whom are willing to support Tr**pism are counted as barely-second-class citizens if even citizens of any kind.
  2. As for Netanyahu, only Haredi men and boys count as citizens, and Orthodox men and boys whom support the Netanyahu-Agudat Yisra'el chokehold on Israel may count as citizens or count at least as second-class citizens.
  • Tr**p is a Far-Left Democrat in actuality, and he even supported Hillary Clinton for decades. Netanyahu is the Haredi theocratic equivalent of that.
In conclusion, then:
  1.  Tr**p with his Neo ****** and Neo Stalin aspirations is a Netanyahu-supporting Tr**pite democrat, and
  2. Netanyahu as a hardly-disguised Harednik and Anti-Zionist democrat supports Tr**p.
Both had supremacist fathers: Tr**p had Fred Tr**p, and Netanyahu had Ben-Zion Netanyahu.

Somewhat Offbeat: Notice That "Momma" Said "God Willing", And...

"Momma" could be wrong. Nonetheless, as she stated, what she revealed her potential helpmate and Reilly's potential "Daddy" was going to need to come out. It was also going come out at some point.

Besides, she's maintained that she wants the best for herself partly so that she can be a good "Momma" to Reilly, and that she wants the best for Reilly.

As she's said and in any case, yehi ratzon Yehovah la'asot ratzono

Somewhat Offbeat: God Willing....

"Momma" may reveal who she thinks may eventually be her helpmate and Reilly's "Daddy" soon. She's given hints in the past¹ and already told Reilly multiple times. Besides—for example—after having to once again get Reilly's harness and leash on her to eventually get her muzzle on her, "Momma" knows that she needs to deal openly with the subject of many of her blog entries for over a year for her, Reilly's, and others'—including and especially "Momma"'s possible helpmate's and Reilly's possible "Daddy"'s—sakes.

Besides:

  1. Reilly's going to have her 3.5-Gregorian-year birthday in a month and a day from now. As for her Hebrew half-year birthday, that's coming up on September 14th at sundown (Elul 23. She was born on 2 Adar 23 or 24, 5774).
  2. "Momma" turned 27.5 Gregorian years old yesterday (August 23rd at sundown) and will be 27.5 Hebrew years old on September 16th at sundown (Elul 25th.  the Rabbinic Calendar gave her the best estimate for when Rosh HaShanah 5750 occurred, by the way).
  3. In other words, time passes with both Reilly and "Momma" getting only older.
¹Another hint, by the way:

Again, Charlie Hebdo?

At a point, the higher good of making sure that nobody else becomes a victim like especially Georges Wolinski did outweighs the freedom of speech. Did Georges Wolinski really survive the German part of Holocaust only to become a Holocaust victim 70 years later and get his grave spit on by "Charlie Hebdo"? Did Georges Wolinski become a martyr only for evildoers whom will use any excuse to use "Charlie Hebdo" as an excuse once again?

"The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness; and the end of his talk is grievous madness. A fool also multiplieth words; yet man knoweth not what shall be; and that which shall be after him, who can tell him?"
Even wise words can become foolish in the mouths of fools:

"A fool hath no delight in understanding, but only that his heart may lay itself bare.....[and a] fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth....is his ruin, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
Arguing with fools is foolish. Those who emulate Mohammed and follow Early Islam look for anything to do evil like Mohammed did:

"Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him."Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes."

How else can I say that sometimes holding your tongue is better but that holding your tongue is sometimes appropriately answering a fool according to his folly?

Camille Is In Love With Her New Toy, Hedgehog

"Auntie Nicole" deliberately left the videos shaky to show the effects of her Cerebral Palsy, including her myoclonus flareups.

Cam unintentionally looks like a hedgehog in this creative-effects shot!
