I Thought That "Lugenpresse!" Is German...And Is Italian-Style Anti Semitism In Tandem As Trumpism Rises?

Meanwhile, for valid reasons, one side of my Lehr family "were not allowed to speak German" during World War Two—per a cousin in Baltimore. The same went for an off-color joke that my grandmother—whom we call "Mom-Mom"—made, whether she knew or didn't know that she is Jewish—and Pop-Pop Pundt, one of Dora Lehr Pundt's grandsons, understandably chased her with a belt around the kitchen when she jokingly called Granduncle Jack (of blessed memory) "just like Hitler".

Also, incidentally, some of the DeBoys were indeed Jews—as a DeBoy cousin told me when I asked, and I'm pretty sure that Catherine Peltz DeBoy was one of them (Rosina Braun DeBoy may've been one, too, though I can't be sure.). By our time, the majority of DeBoys ended up in Germany—though we liked to pretend that it was Alsace-Lorraine (which our branch left in about 1630—perhaps we were far from thrilled that Anti Semitism was creeping into every echelon of German society, including Prussian society, at the same time that the Haskalah was occurring)—and, as my cousin explained, some DeBoys did marry Jews—and perhaps that's why Nana Pundt slapped Mom-Mom on the face during this exchange (not to mention that she was Roman Catholic at the time, though the DeBoys had actually been Lutheran for quite a while at that point—even her father's uncle for whom her father was a namesake was Lutheran. I'm not exactly sure where being Catholic reentered for the DeBoys—maybe Catherine Peltz was a Jewish Catholic.).

While I grant that I was not even born until well after this exchange, I understand that Jewish-Italian relations have often been as fraught as Irish-Italian relations. Besides, the Romans breached our walls, later tried to make Vatican Hill the New Zion, and exalted one of their bishops as basically the New Kohen HaGadol.

"If you date an Italian, I will disown you."

"What about the Pope? He's Italian."

*slap across the face*

(By the way, she of course did not mean that she would date the Pope.)

Besides, the first good Pope in a long time—with few exceptions here and there, if any real exceptions—was John Paul II, a Matrilineal Jew with a Polish father. Also, a good Pope was actually Cardinal Ratzinger, whom is actually Jewish and whom actually resisted the Nazis. (Being a bat-Anusim, I understand the danger of identifying as Jewish once you find out and/or decide to reveal that you are Jewish. Incidentally, Marie Curie—for another example—may've been Jewish. Too bad that many Italians envied and/or otherwise hated that, and their hatred of us only led them to persecute us and deprive themselves of many of the blessings that have been brought into the world through us.).

As for when you trace back to days from the Reformation to the Renaissance, you will find that the German and other Anti Semites—including that, for a lack of more-polite terminology, piece-of-crap Pseudo Reformer known as Martin Luther—had Roman Catholicism—not Evangelical Roman Catholicism—as their worldview (not that Eastern Roman Catholicism—aka, "Byzantine Catholicism"—was better—in fact, Constantinople was in the Eastern Roman-turned-Byzantine Empire).

My point being, "Lugenpresse!" is rooted in the Ancient Anti Semitism that has its roots in German Paganism and Pseudo Christianity along with Normative—not Evangelical—Roman Catholicism. One can see, then, why Luther-inspired Nazism and Roman-inspired Anti Semitism interweave to form Trumpism.

My Favorite Version Of "Hallelujah", Though I'd Change Some Lyrics—And A Few Reasons Why I'd Change Them

  • I'd switch around "minor" and "major" and "minor fall and major lift".

  • I'd change "but" to "though" for all of the verses
  • I'd change Verse 3 to:
"Baby, I've been here before—I can't count how many times I've walked this God-damned floor—and this was all before I ever really knew ya"

  • I'd add this verse (and if anyone is guessing, you're right that this is a "**** you" to Amy Grant's and her songwriters' incorrect theology—plus, an allusion to Job):
"The LORD, Who gives and Who takes away,
"Deserves my praise; that's all that I'll say—
"And as for your 'broken melody'—well, screw ya!
"And what you've done's worse than how I said
"'If Jesus really rose from the dead,
"'There's nothing 'better than a "Hallelu YAH!"'"

  1. For me, this song doesn't have to necessarily be romantic (or at least exclusively romantic).
  2. My paternal grandfather did not like music (or at least didn't like it until. as I found out later, his final days, to the surprise of my father and my grandmother. When he preferred to watch the live version of "The Sound Of Music" over a football game while he was in the hospital, my father told my sister and me, my father was thinking "Who are you?" and wondering if someone had taken Pop-Pop over.)
  3. I think of every floor that I've walked one too many times (because of, e.g., OCD/Anxiety), and I think of everyone whom's tried to smugly (or however else) lord everything over me (whether they've been right or wrong). I have family members (including belated ones) whom insisted on wanting to think that they were right about everything, etc.
  4. Even though (or because) I'm a Christian, I really dislike (and sometimes even hate, even though I shouldn't hate) the hypocrites and the Bible flouters like the "Better Than A Hallelujah" songwriters—even, e.g., Paul praised Jesus in his weakest moments and the Song in Revelation was a praise, even in so far as the martyrs were (and are, and will be) concerned.
By the way, I probably dislike the hypocrites that much because I'm a Jewish Christian—taking away the Jewish context of the Scriptures will automatically dilute the Holiness of Yehovah in the eyes of others, and taking away (for example) that David and others always (or at least overall) ended with praising Yehovah in even the psalms that were lamentations allows for songs that "are better than a 'Hallelu Yah!'"

"Hark; the Herald Angels Sing" Reclaimed From Charles Wesley

This was written for a couple of reasons:

  1. The original lyrics are full of heresy and needed to be corrected. For example, Charles Wesley and the subsequent adapters of Wesley's lyrics claimed that Jesus was "heaven born" and "late in time". According to Tanakh (תנ''כח or תנ''כה for Messianics), however, Jesus was the "Only Begotten Son" and "born of a woman" whom was to be a virgin.
  2. I've been thinking about this since Christmas in December. It is now Christmastime in July.
  3. Felix Mendelssohn was a Jewish believer. Ironically, he "felt unsuited to sacred music" the melody that we use today! Thus, stripping the Jewish context of "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!" is inappropriate!

Hark; the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the King of Kings!"
Unto us is born a Child
Unto to God, we're reconciled!

Joyful, all ye nations rise!
Join the triumph in the skies!

With angelic hosts, proclaim:
"Christ is born in Bethlehem!"
Hark; the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the King of Kings!"

Bless the virgin-born Prince of Peace!
Bless the Sun of Righteousness!
Light to those in darkness He brings—
Ris'n with healing in His wings!

The King of Kings departs His throne
To live and die like His own

And to raise the sons of man
Given to Him, the I AM!
Hark; the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the King of Kings!"

Christ by His elect adored
Christ the Everlasting Lord
As promised, behold He's here!
Unto us, our God draws near!
The Son Whom's Begotten, not made
With the wicked, He made his grave

And from the grave, He arose
And gave new life to the dry bones
Hark; the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the King of Kings!"

The Seahawks, Like Moses and Jeremiah?

This reminds me of when the Golden Calf incident happened. Yet, how did the Seattle Seahawks sin? The New England Patriots cheated:

"And Moses besought יהוה his God, and said: 'יהוה, why doth Thy wrath wax hot against Thy people, that Thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, saying: For evil did He bring them forth, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from Thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against Thy people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Thy servants, to whom Thou didst swear by Thine own self, and saidst unto them: I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.' And יהוה repented of the evil which He said He would do unto His people."

I know that יהוה can and does show that cheating, etc. is not acceptable. Right now, though, the Seahawks must be feeling like Moses as they see the Egypt-like Patriots: "'Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, saying: For evil did He bring them forth, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth?'" They must also be feeling like Jeremiah:

Right wouldest Thou be, O יהוה, were I to contend with Thee, yet will I reason with Thee: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? Wherefore are all they secure that deal very treacherously? Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root; they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit; Thou art near in their mouth, and far from their reins. But Thou, O יהוה, knowest me, Thou seest me, and triest my heart toward Thee; pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

I'm also thinking of, "Where is their God?" I'm even thinking "Does 'Thou shalt not steal' mean anything? Does 'Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor' mean anything? Does that יהוה hates dishonest scales and measures, and other forms of lying mean anything?"

Incidentally, why on Earth did יהוה assign Julian Edelman to a team that does not respect Him, the God of Julian's fathers?

"Tanakh does not speak of Heaven or Hell".

I disagree. Heaven was a well-established concept in Tanakh. For example, Hanokh was taken by Yehovah after 365 years. Also, David states about his son, "I shall go to him, but he will not return to me." Furthermore, Shlomo writes down, "Who knoweth the spirit of man whether it goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast whether it goeth downward to the earth?" As far as She'ol and per Dani'el 12:2 ("And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches and everlasting abhorrence."), would there be tzedek if people like Amalek and Haman weren't eternally condemned to She'ol? Also, what of Korach? "And it came to pass, as he made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground did cleave asunder that was under them. 32 And the earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. 33 So they, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit; and the earth closed upon them, and they perished from among the assembly."

Yavan may have been influenced by his patriarchs Yafet and Noach, but I don't think that Yavan had any influence on Yisra'el's beliefs.

"Life Is Like Coffee", So Says A Video

If only that were true. Life is like coffee: some got the light roast, some the medium, some the dark; some the cream and sugar, some cream, some sugar, some nothing; some the finest coffee, some the neutral quality, some the cheapest; some packed nicely in a Keurig cup or a disk, some filtered, some the cheapest and boiled on a stove, some just even plain beans--and then there are variations and even extras (e.g., chocolate and whipped cream, like hot chocolate). "You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?” But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?"

MK Michael Ben-Ari: A Reflection of Anti Messianics On the Israeli Far Right (And On Any Side of the Political Spectrum In Even the Diaspora, Really)

First of all, how can a girl who is blind even call the police if she's not allowed to have Braille literature? Yad L'Achim wouldn't let her have a Braille-keypad phone to call the police--some of whom probably work with Yad L'Achim. Secondly, Michael ben-Ari is no real theologian or historian, or he would know that Tanakh speaks of a New Covenant, dam is what makes kippur-l'hanefesh, G-d is the only Mashiach/Moshiach (Redeemer/Savior), and Yeshua was a Tanakh-observant Jew who shed His own blood for His people.

Who is a Heretic? Talmudists, Please Read

May the Talmudists "come and hear" and reason with Yehovah, that they may be saved.

Addendum: : "I encourage all to look into Karaite thought. The Talmud is very illogical and inconsistent and very clearly unlike the Torah. I was born a rabbinic, but was exposed to the idea of Karaism in an academic setting by a rabbinic Jewish professor. I explored the idea further and became convinced that it is the correct strand of Judaism."--Liron, "JWeekly".

This isn't to say that the Talmud does not have gems, or that some of the Talmud can't be confirmed by the Brit Chadashah. However, Jesus (Yeshua) was a Karaite; and what did He say? " Yet will I leave seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.'" (1 Kings 19:18; cf. Romans 11:1-5).

"So what percentage of Jews actually reject the Talmud?"

That's a good question. An exact percentage can't be taken down or ascertained. This is because of three things:
  • Even some Karaites and quite a few Messianic Jews will take parts of the Talmud that are not in contradistinction from Scripture and follow them or implement them--e.g., Hanukkah; the names of the months. By the way, the Pharisee name "Nisan" and Hanukkah both appear in Scripture.
  • There are Humanistic and other Jews (e.g., Yaron Yadan) who reject Tanakh altogether because they intertwine it with the Talmud. Yaron Yadan tellingly states, for example, "The prophet Ezekiel contradicts the words of the Torah...Know that this contradiction is found even within the Torah itself, for in Deuteronomy (24:16) it is written, "Parents shall not be put to death for children, nor children be put to death for parents: a person shall be put to death only for his own crime." The Gemara in Sanhedrin 27b reconciles the contradiction: "'visit[s] the guilt of the parents upon the children'! On those who continue their fathers' deeds." That is, the children are punished (for their parents' guilt?) when they continue to sin. See Ibn Ezra on Exodus 20:4, who went on at length about the reconciliation of contradictions." Yaron Yadan himself has the trouble of both separating the Torah from the Talmud, and separating--for instance--individual punishments and curses on the family line as a punishment to the family's partriarch or matriarch--viz. direct and indirect consequences.
  • The percentage of Karaite, Messianic, and other--both Patrilineal, Matrilineal, and both-parent--Jews who reject the Talmud entirely can't be ascertained. Om an incidental-but-perhaps-related note, we can't even account for how many Jews were murdered in the Holocaust--usually only Matrilineal Jews who are more than a 1/16th or so Jewish are counted (though Scripture--e.g., Galatians 4:22-24 and 1 Chronicles 7:14--accounts that Isaac was the first Jew, and that Manasseh children were 1/16th Jewish and still Jewish).

Poland and Polish Anti-Semitism, c. 1918-1939: PolishForums.Com

The making of an example of Roman Polański on Ironside's part brought to memory that from the end of Word War One to World War Two, Poland has had vicious Anti Semitism (some of which, from what I searched, had been scarily regrowing even after the Holocaust). This is perhaps best explained, at least in part, by the following along with that Poland was the center for much of Haredi Judaism and Talmudim Bawli w'Jeruszalayimi (Talmudim Bavlim v'Yerushalayimi):

"Surely, if Jesus were the heretic of the magnitude He is purported to be in some Jewish circles, Israel should have been blessed for rejecting Him. Yet, just forty years after His rejection, His prophecy came true: Instead of being gathered to Him as He longed to do, Israel was scattered; and their house (Temple, בֵּית־הַמִּקְדָּשׁ, Beit HaMikdash, "House of the Holy") was indeed left to [them] desolate. The Romans destroyed it in 70 C.E. when they crushed the First Jewish Revolt, slaughtered or enslaved many thousands, and scattered multitudes out of the Land. In 135 C.E. they completed the job when they crushed the Second Jewish Revolt. Surely Jesus must have been who He claimed to be: the Messiah of Israel (Isaiah 61:1-2 with Luke 4:16-21). Is not the rejection of the long-prophesied Messiah at least as great a sin as idolatry, for which God had previously judged Israel so severely on multiple occasions?
If Israel had received Jesus there would be no anti-Semitism today. He would have gather[ed His] children together, established His earthly Kingdom, the olam haba12, and Israel today would be the head, and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28:1,13). Now, we must wait for His return to see that glorious day, which we will see when Israel receives Him as Messiah."

What does this mean? That (among other matters,) among those who rejected Jeszua (Jesus), there were those who added to and took from the Word of G-d--including many Jews in Poland and vicinities of Poland (e.g., Wołyń):

Jeremiah 8:7-12

New King James Version (NKJV)
“Even the stork in the heavens
Knows her appointed times;
And the turtledove, the swift, and the swallow
Observe the time of their coming.
But My people do not know the judgment of the Lord.
“How can you say, ‘We are wise,
And the law of the Lord is with us’?
Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood.
The wise men are ashamed,
They are dismayed and taken.
Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord;
So what wisdom do they have?
10 Therefore I will give their wives to others,
And their fields to those who will inherit them;
Because from the least even to the greatest
Everyone is given to covetousness;
From the prophet even to the priest
Everyone deals falsely.
11 For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly,
Saying, ‘Peace, peace!’
When there is no peace.
12 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination?
No! They were not at all ashamed,
Nor did they know how to blush.
Therefore they shall fall among those who fall;
In the time of their punishment
They shall be cast down,” says the Lord.

Deuteronomy 28:36-38

New King James Version (NKJV)
36 “The Lord will bring you and the king whom you set over you to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other gods—wood and stone. 37 And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all nations where the Lord will drive you.
[On the forum, I restrained from saying that this included Roman Catholic gods. Incidentally enough and also, some like the Breslovim do worship at gravestones of P'rushi clergymen.].

In conclusion, what Ironside did should neither be shocking nor surprising; as the Torah warned that Anti-Semitic incidents--such as extrapolating Roman Polański's acts to the acts of all Jews--would occur.

Is Practicing Supposed Transubstantiation Falling Away?

CARM.org, while I don't agree with every point that they make--although I agree on the essentials--, makes a point about transubstantiation:

It should be obvious to anyone who believes the word of God, that the Roman Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation is not biblical.  For the reasons listed above, we urge that Roman Catholics recognize that Jesus Christ died once for all and that there is no need to participate in a ritual where His re-sacrifice is practiced.
Finally, because the sacrifice of Christ was once for all, it is sufficient to save us and we do not need to maintain our salvation by our efforts or by our participation in the Lord's supper.  It is not a means of grace that secures our salvation or infuses into us the grace needed that then enables us to maintain our salvation by our works.  Instead, we are made right before God by faith.

That CARM.org didn't reference the following is a little surprising:

Hebrews 6:4-6

New King James Version (NKJV)
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away,[a] to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.
Footnotes:
  1. Hebrews 6:6 Or and have fallen away

Hebrews 10:26-31

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Just Live by Faith

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said,“Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”[a] says the Lord.[b] And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”[c]31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Footnotes:
  1. Hebrews 10:30 Deuteronomy 32:35
  2. Hebrews 10:30 NU-Text omits says the Lord.
  3. Hebrews 10:30 Deuteronomy 32:36
Evangelical and truth-seeking Catholics: please take note and run while you can, or--if you're called to stay and be used to reform the Roman Catholic Church--pray on your calling to help reform the Roman Catholic Church. By the way, I have previously referenced the Yeshuat Yisrael study on Hebrews 6:4-6; and in other words, you will not lose your salvation if you participate and have participated in transubstantiation. But be warned:

For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Remember, "if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins"; and in supposed transubstantiation, "they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame." If you fall away, you "will suffer loss; but...will be saved, yet so as through fire." But you do not want to fall away.

Followup Re "Louisiana v. Mississppi" (1996) And Catholics Protesting Simmon's Execution...

As far as I know, I usually don't follow up blog entries like this; but did you notice a couple of points? For example, my friend talked about the "religion of Catholicism". So, he or she has words which testify against him- or her-self. He or she made my points:

  • [I have] made the distinction between Evangelical and Non-Evangelical Catholics several times. Evangelicals of any denomination or even spin off (e.g., cult) believe in the inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible (Torah, Nevi'im, Ketuvim, and B'rit Hadashah) as confirmed at Yavneh and Nicea and in its original languages and Holy Spirit-guided translations. Evangelicals are among Catholicism, Mormonism, Unitarianism, Lutheranism, and any other denomination and cult that you might like to name.
  • To make the distinction between Evangelical (true, actual) and Non-Evangelical (nominal, in-profession-only) Christianity is imperative because Christianity is too often defined by the Non-Evangelical sects (e.g., Catholicism, Mormonism, Unitarianism, Lutheranism).
  • Catholicism has been explained; Mormonism is obvious; Unitarianism does not believe Deuteronomy 6:4 and John 14:6, and Lutheranism is Anti Semitic.
  • For people who are upset, let me explain something to you: let yourselves be upset. The truth needs to spoken when, for example, Catholics are protesting the execution of a rapist, kidnapper, and murderer named Gary Simmons. You talk about me judging, and you didn't even ask about the context. Besides, you know that I've spoken about this in the past. What should surprise or anger you now? Don't like the truth or seeking the truth? Don't be my friend. Simple.
  • [I speak] the truth only because I love people. If I didn't love people, I'd shut up and let people go to Hell or be severely misguided.
Point One doesn't need to be elaborated on. Point Two can be explained with "The Book of Mormon" and "On the Jews and Their Lies". Point Three can be elaborated on by many of my past blog entries, and so can Point Four. My friend can get as pissy and huffy as he or she wants, and so can anyone else; but I'm perverting leading a quiet and peaceable life into shutting up when the blind are being led into a ditch, the deaf don't hear the alarms going off or whatever else they need to hear, and the mute don't have a voice.

Re "Louisiana v. Mississppi" (1996) And Catholics Protesting Simmon's Execution...

Catholics protested outside of Gary Simmons' execution, and author Jewell Hillery took that part out:

Posted: Jun 20, 2012 9:03 AM EDTUpdated: Jun 20, 2012 7:36 PM EDTBy Jewell Hillery - bio | email

That Wolfe was collecting drug money doesn't matter: two wrongs don't make a right, even though Wolfe was (so to speak) playing with fire. I opined two, among other, points:

  • Don't these Catholics get the concept of nefesh l'nefesh?
  • [I don't] get why Catholics are so opposed to the legitimate death penalty when they illegitly used the death penalty for years--e.g., the Inquisition. Then again, I do get it--Catholics (not counting Evangelical Catholics) are hypocrites.

One of my Catholic friends in particular was pissed. I'm censoring his or her name to be generous, but this is how the conversation went; and I daresay that he or she is either remiss or stupid in that he or she doesn't know his or her own religion's doctrine, and that he or she would be remiss and foolish to try to school me again:

  • doesn't get why Catholics are so opposed to the legitimate death penalty when they illegitly used the death penalty for years--e.g., the Inquisition. Then again, I do get it--Catholics (not counting Evangelical Catholics) are hypocrites.
     ·  ·  ·

      • [Friend] Whoa there. That's wrong. Just because a small group of Catholics did that in the past doesn't give you the right to judge Catholics today. And the official church stance isn't against the death penalty if you read the catechism. You could also make the same argument for protestants today. And only the more vocal liberal catholics are so opposed.
4 hours ago via mobile ·
      • Nicole Czarnecki As I said, I excluded Evangelical Catholics--those who believe in the inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible in its original languages and Holy Spirit-guided translations. And it was no small group, which was part of why reformers such as Jan Hus and John Wycliffe showed up.

      • [Friend] But you still say Catholics in general are hypocritical?
4 hours ago via mobile ·
      • Nicole Czarnecki Yes. Not Evangelical Catholics, though.

      • [Friend] Wow. You are very judgmental of my faith. I will let it go though and pray that life experience will teach you differently. There is much you don't understand about the beautiful religion of Catholicism.
3 hours ago via mobile ·
      • Nicole Czarnecki I understand too much about it.

      • [Friend] You are trying to instigate people today. One day you will learn the truth. In this life or the next.
        ...
      • Nicole Czarnecki
I'm not trying to instigate anything, with all due respect... And I come from a long heritage of Catholicism, Jewish and gentile. I was baptized Roman Catholic, raised English-American Catholic (Episcopalian), have Catholic relatives (Roman, Byzantine, and English-American), went to a Byzantine Catholic Church at family reunions (St. Nicholas in Swoyersville), used to defend even Non-Evangelical Catholicism as a legit denomination of Christianity, and went to University of Notre Dame of Maryland. I learned the hard way.

A Refutation of "Bible".Ca: Eternal Security

"12 If we suffer , we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not , yet he abideth faithful: he cannot * deny himself." (2 Timothy 2:12-13, KJV with Strong's)

deny 29, refuse 2

In other words, only if we reject Christ's gift of salvation will we be denied. "If we believe not , yet he abideth faithful: he cannot * deny himself." Furthermore:

"27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, andthey follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never * * perish ,neither * shall any man pluck them out of my hand." (From John 10)

He doesn't qualify "neither shall any" either--He means "neither shall any", meaning that you can't even wriggle out of Yeshua's hand. So what does Hebrews 6:4-6 mean? See Yeshuat Yisrael's study. Besides, Bible.Ca states that "Christians are to restore the fallen: Gal 6:1; Jas 5:19-20". As GotQuestions.org pointed out, G-d's strong enough to keep you from falling--he doesn't need Christians to restore someone's salvation, nor can Christians: only G-d can save. By the way, that Bible.Ca twists Scripture out of context is obvious.
