#WhenIWas15 (And That Was A Long Time Ago!)...

I wanted to be a lawyer and/or commentator-analyst on Fox News. Only the "lawyer" and "Fox News" parts have changed. I still want to be a commentator-analyst, though I'd be a commentator-analyst at anywhere where somebody would see if I'm a voice worth hearing, and I'm also working on becoming an author.

Granted that "anywhere" obviously does not mean anywhere where bigotries and other unjustifiable hatreds prevail. Among the bigotries and other hatreds that would get me to turn down a job offer from any place:


  1. Real Sexism—e.g., While being against abortion is not sexist, blaming a woman for becoming pregnant due to being raped and/or being raped in the first place is sexist.
  2. Racism and ethnocentrism, especially Anti Semitism—I am Jewish and a fourth- and fifth-generation pogrom survivor; and many of my ancestors and other relatives became Anusim to survive both pogroms and other Anti Semitism.
  3. Xenophobia—I don't need, e.g., to hear any assumptions that refugees are simply here to commit crimes or that DACA kids can get to the back of the line just like their parents. After all, my father's paternal grandfather was an equivalent of a DACA kid, and 11 days from now will be the centennial anniversary of when he came here. He didn't even remember anyone whom he saw in family pictures that a family friend would bring back, and he had been deceased for some time when our side of the family handed the deed to the family farm back to a side in then-Soviet Poland. We didn't need anyone's Anti Semitism or xenophobia then, and immigrants of today and their descendants don't need xenophobia now.
  4. Ageism—I don't need, e.g., any canards about Millennials. 
  5. Heterophobia—I don't need any canards about especially religious heterosexuals like myself. For example, to assume that all religious heterosexuals think that LGBTQ people are just a bunch headed-to-eternal-doom debauchees is heterophobic. So's assuming that all religious heterosexuals think that LGBTQ people choose to be LGBTQ.
  6. Real Anti-LGBTQ discrimination—e.g., While being against same-sex marriage is not bigoted, assuming that every LGTBQ person would want to be in any given same-sex relationship is. 
  7. Ableism—this one doesn't need any explanation
By the way, I didn't know that I am Jewish when I was 15; and I certainly didn't know that I'm a descendant of illegal immigrants, including the 1908 equivalent of a DACA kid. Now that I know that I'm a Jew and a descendant of a DACA-kid equivalent, I really want to be a commentator-analyst and an author to speak up for B'nei Anusim and others like me, DACA kids, and others. Also by the way, my DACA-kid equivalent great-grandfather turned 15 a century ago next October. and he had no choice as to what he wanted to be—he was only allowed to go as far as eighth grade before he ended up working the coal mines in the only country that he'd ever really known, and still a country that had Anti-Semitic and other bigotries.

Originally On LinkedIn: Facebook, Its TOS, and Algorithms?

A while back, a Facebook friend told me that Facebook apparently enforces its TOS by using algorithms. Algorithms—a well-over-$1-Million company uses algorithms to enforce its TOS?


"I believe the maker of facebook is sexist and racist. Something should be done about it. I got in trouble for swearing at a racist but he didnt get in trouble for being racist. Something is so wrong with that"
I wish that I could've replied to her comment with the observation that its more that Facebook is evidently not hiring enough people to enforce its TOS—and while I grant that there are multiple TOS-violation reports a day, I also grant that there are:


  1. Many people looking for jobs.
  2. People like me whom'd be glad to have a job helping Facebook enforce its own TOS, especially since many of us have been affected by TOS violators. As for me, I live in Maryland and could help enforce Facebook's TOS virtually—I can't drive (since I have Cerebral Palsy) and, while I'm working on being an author and analyst-commentator, would love to be off of SSI benefits as well to help Facebook crack down the kind of, e.g., ableism and Anti Semitism by which I've been affected. Of course, I have to be prepared for the reality that Facebook will see me as nothing more than my Cerebral Palsy and what mental illnesses I have—after all, why would Facebook see me as any different since they often don't care when an individual with a disability is attacked by a TOS violator?
  3. TOS violations that are so egregious, they've had to be reported to the FBI since Facebook wouldn't deal with them—and I remember that the FBI emailed me back per one threat that I reported and told me that I needed to forward the threat report to the Secret Service.
  4. Too many instances in which Facebook even restores accounts and pages of TOS violators—and one page that they restored involved a threat against Hillary Clinton, while another on which someone reported content posted an obscene "**** Facebook" meme regarding when Facebook actually did enforce their TOS.
Since Facebook probably won't hire me, though (See Point Two and consider the case of Katie Shoener in a non-Facebook field.), they could at least consider what I've written here & hire others whom are looking for jobs.

Originally On LinkedIn: Why I Don't Want To Start Off With An Entry-Level Job: Hint: It's Not Because I Feel Entitled

It's because an entry-level job may be my only job if I were to take one. Having Cerebral Palsy as well as OCD/Anxiety, Depression, and ADD, I am not viewed as an employable person whom happens to have a physical disability and mental illnesses—I am viewed as an unemployable disability and cocktail of mental illness whom is good enough only for an entry-level job if I'm good enough even for that, and never up able to move in the career ladder because I am a disability and cocktail [of] mental illnesses—I am viewed as a would-be embarrassment, liability, expense, and burden to employers.
I know how I'm viewed because I've lived it in all realms of my life—e.g., familial, romantic, academic, and obviously professional. 



That's part of why I'm working on becoming an analyst-commentator and author—I do not want to be viewed as an unemployable disability whom's good only for entry-level jobs if I'm ever be employable at all. I also do not want to be defined by my disabilities—in fact, I just yelled at my sister as I was about to type "stop telling me to be an advocate for people with disabilities":

Too many a family member, friend, and other kind of person have suggested that I be an advocate for people with disabilities—just as my sister suggested that I start an organization for people with disabilities—I compare it to when African Americans were viewed as disabilities because of their skin color and definable only by their skin color, which was viewed as a disability.

Just like Martin Luther King, Jr. and other African Americans whom did not want to be defined "by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character", I did and do not want to be viewed as and defined by my Cerebral Palsy, OCD/Anxiety, Depression, and ADD—I want to be defined as an employable person and contributing member of society whom happens to have Cerebral Palsy, OCD/Anxiety, Depression, and ADD.
