Re "Christian" As An Adjective

I just have a few thoughts. For example:
  1. Being a non-proselytizing Jewish Christian, I myself agree with many that many so-called "Christians" (including the notorious so-called and David Brickner-run "Jews For Jesus", whom far from actually follow the New Testament) are Christians in name only (Moshe Rosen would be ashamed. Read Stuart Dauermann's open letter to David Brickner re the Anti-Semitic "That Jew Died For You" stunt).
  2. Sadly, Webster wrote the definition for "Christian" back in the days when it was indeed assumed that only Christians can do good, notwithstanding that Tanakh says that nobody is righteous.
  3. "Christian" is used usually only in regard to self-professing Christians such as not-at-all-a-Christian D****d Tr**p.
  4. During "Roe v. Wade", Catholics and Protestants did indeed identify as Catholic Christians because of the anti-abortion tenet within Christianity.
  5. One's politics reflects one's worldview, as can be seen in the "Roe v. Wade" example alone. By the way, real (or at least strong) Christians would be both against abortion and for reforming the adoption system.
  6. Real (or at least strong) Christians condemn racism (especially Anti Semitism), sexism, xenophobia, ableism, and other bigotry, such as Muslimophobia (Islamophobia is another discussion, as Mohammed hated both Jewish Christians—and other Jews—and gentile Christians. One can hate certain ideologies, including religions, without hating their followers. By the way, most Muslims in at least the Western World are moderate, or secular).
  7. "Turning the other cheek" was actually a Samuel Jackson type of defiance. "Say 'what' again..." became "hit me again...", and "turn the other cheek" has been misinterpreted for years.

A Typical Night At La Casa De Santa Reilly Rosalita de Yerushalayim

  1. "I was bringing the girls down, and I almost forgot to actually bring them down!"
  2. The one almost-forgotten girl licked "Auntie Michelle" affirmatively when "Auntie Michelle" "asked her if she needed to 'go potty'." The other almost-forgotten one, meanwhile, curled up on one of the chairs to wait for the one almost-forgotten one. (10:34 PM)
  3. Both curled-up-on-the-chair Camille and napping-on-the-sofa Reilly napped until Camille decided to jump down and jump up onto the sofa to be near Reilly (10:50 PM).
  4. Both Reilly and Camille wait for "Auntie Michelle"/"Mimi" and "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" to wrap up for the night (10:51 PM).
From Reilly and "Momma" (and Camille and her "Mimi"), "night nights" and early wishes for a:

  1. ליום לתודה שמח! ; גוט יום-טוב פון דאַנק! (in "Momma's" ancestral languages)
  2. ¡Feliz Día de Las Gracias!; Feliz Dia de Ação de Graças! (in the languages that Reilly's name honoree's father spoke)
  3. Bonne fête de l'Action de grâce! Joyeux Jour de Grâce! (since "Auntie Michelle" will insist on the remote-ancestral language)
  4.  In one of the languages that one of Camille's name honorees spoke....or not. Trying to look up the Portuguese, check the Yiddish, and endure the pedantry of "Auntie Michelle" was enough, thanks!

Tu B'Av & All Different Kinds Of Love, Including Puppy Love

In short, Tu B'Av is the Rabbinic Valentine's Day, which comes after Tisha B'Av (the fast of the fifth month, after Tzom HaChodesh Tammuz—not, as it formerly was, for the "god" [dybuk] Tammuz), and before Yom Kippur and Asara b'Tevet). The rabbis decided that after two months with fasts and before Yom Kippur, a yom l'simcha was needed—including for, I suppose, pets and their feeling-much-better-after-breaking-the-fast owners—of course, making pets fast would be wrong.

As on Valentine's Day, the theme on Tu B'Av is ahavah (love)—of which there are different kinds, with three words for the main kinds in Biblical Hebrew, including "ahavah". Puppies—including adult puppies (dogs) like Reilly and Camille—show ahavah, including for each other and for their masters—and masters' families!

Reilly and Camille, yesh lahen ahavah l'echad achar—after all, e.g., to clean out each other's ears takes ahavah rabah v'g'dolah.

So does playing as roughly as Reilly and Camille do!

So does napping together and (and as demonstrated with close ups included) inadvertently forming a heart shape and sleeping side by side!

Why Would The White House Dinner For Scandinavian Leaders Hold Interest For Irish And Irish-Descended Americans?

As the POTUS And the First Lady host Scandinavian national leaders at a White House dinner, some Irish and Irish-descended Americans might want to pay attention. Among those whom want to pay attention to (as far as I know) milestone White House dinner:

  1. McLaughlins (e.g., pollster John McLaughlin and Baseball Crank's Dan McLaughlin)
  2. O'Reillys (And Reillys, Etc.) (including me, as my mother's late paternal grandmother is a Reilly—thus, by the way,  my Reilly's name)
  3. Goulds whom are Irish [as opposed to Jewish]
  4. Reynoldses
Two and Four, by the way, apply to four of my relatives (whose names and relationships to me I will not disclose for the sake of their privacy).

Thanking All Who Liked My Page Recently and Like My Page, And...

  1. לפסח ושבת שלום ומבורך לכולם. (For a peaceful and blessed Passover and Sabbath to all.)
  2. For Messianic Jews/Jewish Christians, remember why we (and gentile Christians) celebrate פסח:
  • "שמרו זאת בזיכרון של לי."
  • "בכל שעה שאתם אוכלים מצה הזאת ושותים הכוס הזה, אתם מכריזים המות שלי עד אני באה."
(If you don't read even some Hebrew, use Google Translate to translate it. Incidentally, I used Hebrew-Verbs.co.il, Milon, and other sources [including what I remembered from studying Hebrew in college] to translate it into Hebrew].)

Also, G-d willing, I'll try to record videos on, among other subjects:

  1. Bladder cancer, since I do volunteer for the Bladder Cancer Advocacy NetworkAs I explained to the recruiter (Natalie Bennett), I have a history of other cancers (e.g., Colon Cancer) in my family (e.g., Pop-Pop had it. BTW, he also died of Myelodysplasia that turned into Leukemia), and I can imagine that Bladder Cancer is exacerbated by conditions such as IBS (which I have) and, of course, Colon Cancer.  By the way, when I talked to Natalie, I learned that Bladder Cancer is the most-diagnosed cancer in the United States, despite that it hardly gets awareness raised for it (compared to, e.g., Breast Cancer. Great-Granddad's cousin Katarzyna Czerniecka Czokola, as I found out, did die of Breast Cancer, by the way.).
  2. Why Russia and the Middle East are, quite frankly, their own continents, despite their current classification. Technically, Central America could be its own continent, too.
  3. What "few in number" for Israel might actually mean (i.e., depending on who is considered Jewish ethnically and/or spiritually Biblically and amongst Jews. Either way, we're "few in number" from at least an ethnic standpoint.)
Meanwhile, ללילה ושבת ופסח טוב ושלום ומבורך לכל ישראל וצדוקים מגויים.

PS Part of the reason that I promoted my Facebook page is to (hopefully) get noted for my commentary and (G-d willing) get a job as a commentator and an analyst. Being, e.g., on SSI benefits sucks (and I opposed being on them at first, feeling that doing so was a form of socialism and being a burden on the tax payers. Besides, I have been persecuted for being on them [See below for a horrid example.]. But what can I do when, e.g., I have C.P., no paying job, etc.?)

JohnLeePedimore has replied to your comment on Shocking Video: Should "Adult Baby" Collect Social Security Benefits?:
@Nickidewbear

Let me guess, your family actually works for a living and turned their back on you because you are a lazy pig.
You can reply back by visiting the comments page.
By the way, did you know you can rent movies from YouTube? Check it out now: youtube.com/movies.

Also PS: I save most of my emails. BTW, I just noticed this now-just-reported comment, too:
It's bad enough that you people leech off the American taxpayer like parasites, but what really pisses me off is the utter contempt you have for the hard working people who foot the bill for your lazy ass.You don't appreciate anything you have because you didn't have to work for it. You are a thief.
Then people swear that attitudes toward people with disabilities has changed...actually, it has gotten worse. Then they want me to represent people with disabilities when they act like I, a person who lives with a disability, don't know what I'm talking about....no kidding, as one Haggadah reads (with my emphasis and bracketed additions), that :
Access to affordable housing, quality health care, nutritious food and quality education is far from equal. The disparity between the privileged and the poor is growing, with opportunities for upward mobility still gravely limited. Maimonides taught, “Everyone in the house of Israel is obligated to study Torah, regardless of whether one is rich or poor, physically able or with a physical disability.” Unequal access to basic human needs [e.g., being treated as a human being who was created in the image of G-d], based on one’s real or perceived identity, like race, gender or disability, is a plague, antithetical to the inclusive spirit of the Jewish tradition.
And
We do not adequately address violence in our society, including rape, sex trafficking, child abuse, domestic violence and elder abuse [including verbal, mental/psychological, religious/spiritual, and other intangible/non-physical abuse; and neglect], even though it happens every day within our own communities.

With Vint Cerf's Warning, What Do We Do, Then?

Also, the Third Temple is being rebuilt; and you can't have the Third Temple in the Digital and Postmodern Age. After all, Rabbi Amy Scheinerman's contention that "the Hebrew Scriptures...do not speak to our lives today" (since "[s]ome institutions...don't speak", and neither, then, can the Scriptures) may seem true. That's why, then, there will be that Electric Grid Bust and Blowout: for example, one cannot keep a menorah burning 24-seven when a fire could easily effect wires and outlets to effect a bigger fire.

From http://www.age-end.com/Restoration%20of%20All%20Things/Menorah_files/image001.jpg

From http://image.slidesharecdn.com/sci1010chapter8-130823151701-phpapp02/95/sci-1010-chapter-8-34-638.jpg?cb=1377289150

Maybe, then part of the work of  The Temple Institute and/or other organizations could be somehow collecting hard copies of software, hardware, and other digital and electronic data.

"4 And these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah. 5 For thus saith the LORD: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. 6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child; wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? 7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it; and it is a time of trouble unto Jacob, but out of it shall he be saved."

(From Jeremiah 30, JPS 1917 Tanakh [תנ''ך])

As for the New Testament (The "H" in Tanakh, for "Hadashah"):

"21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be." (From Matthew 24, The NKJV Bible)

From http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-shT-Y8KhByw/UAq_EVuLgQI/AAAAAAAAAi0/jR6mhfE1pEQ/s1600/PlotDiagram.png

Quite frankly, there'll be the climax of the Digital and Postmodern Age, then the Ezekiel War, then one more Climax (the Third Temple, etc.), and then the Tribulation. After that, the 1000 years, etc..

On the other hand, you could try "תנ''כח" or Tanakh Ko'ach—Bible of Power. Then again, you could just stick with תנ''ךTorah, Nevi'im, Ketuvim—and add "Hadashah" to make "Torah, Nevi'im, Ketuvim v'Chadashah."

  • Second PS: When I was Googling for images of the menorah with the verse about it burning perpetually (and I could not find one with the verse), I found an Anti-Semitic blog by Ora Yakovi "Yakovi's Op-Eds". In case it does not get removed (and please report it) or she starts a new blog, here is my response to her:

You are a classic Pseudo-Christian Anti Semite and self-hating Jew. First of all, you claim that one's maternal haplogroup proves one to be a Jew, and that Ashkenazi Jews are not Jews. By your logic, then, neither are you a Jew:

"She was born on 9/11 in Munich, Germany. In 1949, the "Zagorsky Family" came as DP refugees by ship to America after the Holocaust ended in 1945. Her parents were survivors of concentration camps near Dachau and in Siberia."

You were born in Ashkenaz. Also, Jewishness was primarily patrilineal in Biblical times. There were Matrilineal Jews, though very few. Furthermore, many Middle Eastern Y- and mt-, and some at-DNA markers have been found in Ashkenazi Jews. Furthermore, you are citing debunked "Dr." Elhaik and Anti-Semitic Eupedia.

Therefore, you are dishonest when you state the following:

As an outspoken voice against anti-Israel/anti-Semitism/anti-Zionism whether in the religious or secular worlds, she now simply identifies herself as a daughter of Abraham's blessed covenant Hebrew "seed" and the "She'erit Yisrael (Remnant of Israel). (Zephaniah 3:13)

Addendum To the Postcript In My TOI "Wuerker" Post

Addendum and disclosure:

I'll admit that finding sources that are neutral about (e.g., neither hostile against nor favorable toward) Jewish Christians is hard (I try to use sources that, even if they're not Jewish Christian/Messianic Jewish, accept that there are Jews who actually believe in a Jewish man named Jesus as the Jewish Messiah. I don't want to support sources that are hostile toward Jewish Christians, given that I am a Jewish Christian). Sadly, I kept Googling and ran into well-written articles that came from hostile sources (e.g., The Jewish Daily Forward, despite that they concede that Jews are an ethnos. Their article about Jewish Christians by Rabbi David Wolpe and most comments on the article were incredibly hostile.).

If only there were more sources that were neutral, even sources from those such as Dr. Amy-Jill Levine, Rabbi Carol Harris-Shapiro, Dan Cohn-Sherbok, and Ya'akov Ariel. While I won't agree with all of their conclusions (e.g., Dr. Levine's conclusion that the New Testament does have Anti Semitism), I can be thankful that they at least accept Jewish Christians as Jews.
I will add, too, that for them to accept Jewish Christians despite that they've received backlash that's similar or equal to what we Jewish Christians receive takes a lot of ko'ach; and if only we were that strong in our faith, Emateinu HaMeshichi (and that phrase I had to only confirm with Google translate. The case was the same for "ko'ach" and some other words and phrases. ראה? אני לומדת. :-) )

(By the way, yes, I checked: there are forms of "re'eh" that I need to learn.).

Indisputable Proof That Marijuana Is At Least Risky, If Not Outright Dangerous

The Bible says to avoid "φαρμακεία" (literally, "poison", translated as "drugs", "witchcraft", etc.): "But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, [φαρμακεία], hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies," (From Galatians 5, KJV) "Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their [φαρμακεία], nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts." (Revelation 9:21) "And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy [φαρμακεία] were all nations deceived ." (Revelation 18:23) By the way, "φαρμακεία" is different than "גהה" or "תרופה" ("medicine"), which in Greek are "θεραπεία" (therpaia) and "φάρμακο"

If Amanda Bynes' case did not prove this, I do not know what did. By the way, if I'm correct, "תרופה" is responsible for the word "θεραπεία". Also, look at the Scriptures, concordances, and Google Translate yourself if you don't believe me. Furthermore, please (like I did) take at least one Hebrew class.

I Don't Have Everything In Front Of Me Right Now; And Let Me Nonetheless Address That...

I have no "need" to be Jewish. I do have a need, however, to (figuratively) wrangle some necks. As happens to be the case, I'm a Levite (Levai, Foczko, Rusznak) and a kohenet (Duday, Gajdosz, possibly Andrulevicus, possibly Lazar), and other tribes (perhaps Issachar with "Trudnyak" coming from the Old Polish "Trojdnik" or something along those lines; perhaps Judah with "Munka", given that it may be Solomonic). I'm also related to Kirk Douglas (When one guy originally asked me, I said "No." I thought that "Danilovich" was a patronymic. I couldn't have been more wrong. Incidentally, I wonder who one of our relatives is "fucking psycho" now.).

I was lied to for years, and I'm still trying to process that I'm a Jew and a bat-Anusim, as well as related to Kirk Douglas (and now I know that half of the meshugas comes from the Danilowicz/Danilovich side. I figured that it was the Andrulevicuses/Andrulewiczes; but Great-Great-Grandma Czerniecki was somehow a Danilowicz. Also, now I can see who Pop-Pop inherited quite a bit of his looks from.).

By the way, back to the Andrulevicuses for a moment: one was named "Kasis Andrulewitz". What I'm trying to figure out is if that comes from "Cassis" or "Kassis" ("Cohen" or "Kohen") or qasis (Ashkenazi Hebrew for "כתית" or "qatit").

Hungary, the Holocaust, And the Russian Pale

As quite a few have requested, Hungary is hopefully starting to work on curbing or eradicating its Anti Semitism (for the time being. After all, (יהוה (ב''ה warned that all nations but for Israel and the remnants of every other nation would come to end.). After all (as at least some people have learned, and I think because of בני אנוסים like me), Hungary was a hub for אנוסים from the Warszawa, Radom, and Lodz Foc(z)kos to (as I found out recently) some Andreloviches (which surprised me) and the Trudnyaks (who, as an 1811 baptism record indicates, originally came from Krakow gubernia after they had already allegedly fled Jablunka in Moravia), to openly-Jewish Jews like the Rusznaks and Uszinskys (and the Uszinskys did indeed sneak out of the Russian Pale and/or Congress Poland into Saros megye—I just don't know exactly when or from where). Incidentally, I think that "Jablunka" was actually "Jablonka" in Nowy Targ—as Great-Great-Granddad Trudnyak (ז''ל) claimed to be born in Kacwin, and his wife (ז''ל) claimed to be born in Lapsze Nizne and resided in Nowa Biala before she left for New Jersey.

Even though Hungary forced all Jews to have surnames by 1787 and had nominal religious freedom by 1868, it was actually a hub for escaping openly-Jewish Jews and אנוסים. It was also a hub for those who became אנוסים in Hungary and stayed there. Even Wikipedia, for example, begrudges that the Hungarian city of Aranyida (now Zlata Idka, Slovakia) is "almost entirely Slovak in ethnicity". The begrudgement was written when the Wikipedia page, which was last edited on September 17th of 2013, was first written on September 15, 2006. So, even Wikipedia concedes that some Non-Slovakian ethnic groups reside there, and has done so since 2006—long before I knew who the Foczkos and Rusznaks really were—and that אנוסים and בני אנוסים resided in an "almost entirely Slovak" small town must really wrangle them, since (as I've learned from experience) they don't like אנוסים and בני אנוסים, or יהודים משיחיים (especially יהודים משיחיים  who are בני אנוסים).

By the way, Kacwin is "Kaczvin" or "Kacvin"; Lapsze Nizne is "Alsolapos"; Jablonka is just Jablonka, and Nowa Biala is Ujbela. As for Saros megye, that covered a broad range of Slovakia and Hungary. Also, notice that the Trudnyaks allegedly fled from Moravia in the Austrian Empire into Hungary (before it was a part of Austria Hungary), the Foczkos and Uszinskys fled in Hungary, and Michael and Anna Munkova Trudnyak (my Trudnyak great-great-grandparents) claimed to be born in Polish-Slovakian Hungarian small towns (and to be fair, Anna Munkova did reside in Nowa Biala and was named after her Levoca [Locse]-born and -baptized sister. Mihaly Trudnyak, however, was baptized in the Nagy hub of Terezvarosi, Budapest—and the Nagys were אנוסים who were far from Kacwin, and certainly not in the Austrian part of Austrian Hungary at any time!).

In conclusion, Hungary (at least for the time being) is hopefully becoming the country to whose dependencies and proper אנוסים and open Jews fled, and where quite a few אנוסים who became אנוסים stayed.

Maczkovecz...Definitely Jewish; Just Trying To Break It Down

"Maczko":

from maka ‘flour’ [See "Monk"], presumably a metonymic occupational name for a miller or a nickname for someone with a very pale complexion.nickname from a diminutive of mak ‘poppy’.

"Macko":

Macko Name Meaning

Polish (Macko), Ukrainian, and Slovak: from a pet form of Polish Maciej, Slovak Matej, or some other Slavic form of Matthew.

"Mattityahu" (מתתיהו) is originally Hebrew.

So, the Maczkoveczes (Mackovecs, etc.) were either "Millersons" or "Matthewsons"—basically, "of Matthew" or "bnei-Mattityahu" (בני מתתיהו). "Vec" or "vecz" ("vec" Magyarized or Polonized) means:

vec-noun

So, basically, we're—unless we're "Millersons"—sons of Matthew or "things of Matthew" (Nice! In all seriousness, Jews didn't always get desirable names.). I don't know whether this Matthew was one in the Diaspora or even מתתיהו התלמיד himself (if מתתיהו התלמיד had any children, and any children that stayed in or reverted to Non-Messianic Judaism. On the other hand, they could have been children who were Messianic and became part of the lost tribes and/or completely assimilated and absorbed, since I know of no Messianic lines that have been fully Messianic since the time of התלמידים ושליחים.). He could've even been מתתיהו המכבי, but this is doubtful.

By the way, I had to play around with Google Translate, take Hebrew 101, etc. to get the Hebrew. I am not translating this for you; so, look it up and/or otherwise learn it for yourself—to do so is the best way to learn it for yourself. I grant that some would say, "Well, didn't you have people teach you and otherwise help you learn?" כן, and I had to—עם עזרת וחן יהוה— be a willing תלמידה.

(Some Of) My Big Moments In 2013 (Including at the End)

This is not an exhaustive list, but it's way more than what I mentioned in the video:

  1. Being called Geraldo Rivera's "favorite tweeter"
  2. Establishing that I have kohen and Levi heritage through the Gajdoszes, Dudays, Foczkos, Rusznaks, and Levais.
  3. My ITB Pump surgery (and I envy Geraldo—the lucky guy got well over a total of 100 Facebook and Twitter "likes", well wishes, etc. regarding his foot surgery. I got no more than 52 "likes" at a time—actually, that was my uncle who posted about me and the ITB Pump surgery. Geraldo's probably going to hate me for that, and I may not be his favorite tweeter anymore; but, c'mon—I was under anesthesia on both July 17th and July 18th. Plus, I was in Johns Hopkins until July 22nd, and then Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital until August 2nd. Furthermore, they had to give me caffeine and have me drink coffee to prevent further caffeine withdrawal and headaches. All I got was a few visits, comic books back from my dad, and a few other things).
  4. My granddad passing.
  5. My dad disowning me—but at least I got the atDNA test from him before he did.
  6. Great-Granduncle Andy's passing—that's huge, given that my generation of Fosko Rusnaks is second in line to carry to torch (Dad's is the first.).
  7. The first year that I did not attend the DeBoy Family Reunion (I was recovering from ITB Pump Surgery).
  8. Almost (almost!) graduating college (One more paper to revise and turn in!).
  9. Having major people follow me on Twitter
  10. Figuring out that I'm related to Thomas Andrew, Michael Andrews, and Kirk Douglas (By the way, some of 2012 is going to have overlapped into 2013.).
  11. Getting a resume written (Well, my friend wrote it for me. I still owe him a handmade tallit, even if I don't ultimately use the resume that he wrote.).
  12. Being a formal סטודנטית ללשון העברית—and getting an "A" in הכיתה. (Of course, I don't why I thought "הרבה" was "class" as I was typing this.).
  13. Turning 23 on January 23 (Ok, I really turned 23 on January 12, 1990; since that was טבת 26, 5773. יהוה, ברוך הוא, goes by the lunar Hebrew year. In Gregorian terms, I did turn 23 on the 23rd of January.).
  14. Getting bullied by and watching vengeance against Krystal Keith and her dad.
  15. Beginning to write my family-history memoir.
  16. My aunt attempting suicide (I sat שבע for her for an hour days before—that was a big deal, and I didn't know that that's why she moved without telling me.).
By the way, my mom feels that 2014 is going to be my year...we'll see, Mom.

The Gajdosz Coat of Arms and Explanation

We chose our name deliberately, I realize. "Gajdosz" being a form of "Gaydosh" or "bagpipe", and bagpipes (at least at the end) look very similar to shofarot, we deliberately chose it and kept the "sz" once we escaped to Slovakian Hungary from Polish Russia. Also, Great-Granddad would brag about us being "Russian", and his mother was from an Uszinsky family as well.

"Gajdos Name Meaning Hungarian: nickname for a ribald person, from gajdolni ‘to sing in a raucous or drunken way’ (from Slavic gajda ‘bagpipe’). In some cases it may be an occupational name for a player of pipes or bagpipes.Polish and Slovak (Gajdoš): from a derivative of Gajda." Ancestry.com, "Gajdos"). Ours was never accented and we Americanized it to "Gaydosh" sometimes. We also never accented the "s", and Hungarian "sz" is just "s". On the other hand, "š" or "s" is "sh". In Polish, "sz" is "sh".

We were very aware of our Poliyshn Yidn roots, and Dad doesn't like that. In fact, he nastily told Great-Granddad (as he told us that he told Great-Granddad), "The only reason that you say that we're Russian is because you work for the Russian Church." It was actually a Slovakian-American Catholic church, and the Rusnaks were Levi'im Anusim as well. So, Dad darned well (in his mind, damned well) knows that we're Jews—and I think that's also part of why we're estranged again—not just because I confronted him on Pop-Pop Czarnecki's obituary, but also because he was waiting to cut me off once I found out the truth and asked him about it. So, as soon as I confronted him about the obituary, he found his loophole and got as nasty and abusive with me as possible.
I had also, by the way, spoken out about the obituary and said how they conveniently skipped over Pop-Pop's Jewish heritage—and maybe that's part of why Great-Granddad Gaydos didn't like Pop-Pop (long story), as I found out—he could probably tell that Pop-Pop was a self loather. So, as soon as I confronted him about the obituary, he found his loophole and got as nasty and abusive with me as possible.I had also, by the way, spoken out about the obituary and said how they conveniently skipped over Pop-Pop's Jewish heritage—and maybe that's part of why Great-Granddad Gaydos didn't like Pop-Pop (long story), as I found out—he could probably tell that Pop-Pop was a self loather.By the way, the long story, as Aunt Mary recalled it to me: Great-Granddad Gaydos came over for dinner and ate quietly. When he ate, he looked up and declared, "Okay; I'm ready to go now." He clearly had no time for Jack Czarnecki.

The Disgustingness of Legalism

I'm embarrassed that many here are forgetting Genesis 50:20, 1 Samuel 16:7, Acts 15, Romans 14, and Colossians 2:13-17, among other verses. First of all, Yeshua made a New Covenant and nailed the 613 mitzvot to the Cross (though some remain--see Acts 15, e.g.). Secondly, a holiday that Yeshua celebrated, namely Hanukkah, comes from a pagan tradition. Thirdly, your Yahushua or Yahushishi or whoever you worship in the place of Yeshua is not the Mashiach. "I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,  which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ." (Galatians 1:6-7) Yeshua is clearly useless to you, since you pursue your own righteousness through Torah. "I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”" (Galatians 2:21) Only non-believing Jews are still under the Old Covenant. "For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."

By the way, Sha'ul once persecuted Yeshua. Think about that if and when you persecute Sha'ul and say that Sha'ul (who became Paul) was not following Yeshua. "But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ." (Galatians 1:11-12). You are doing to both Sha'ul and ultimately Yeshua what Sha'ul once did to Yeshua.

Object as you will, but then why does Yirimiyahu prophesy the following? "“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,[a] says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”"

You've made Yeshua quite useless, then; and I don't go after the majority to do evil. Also, many didn't believe that Yeshua was and is Mashiach.

I'm Looking For Someone Who Can...

Dub my videos into:

1) Polish
2) Slovakian
3) Hungarian
4) Russian
5) Lithuanian
6) Belorussian
7) Czech (Moravian, specifically)
8) Hebrew

and/or

9) Yiddish

(Dad's side)

As for Mom's side, French, German, and Portuguese (and/or Hebrew and/or Ladino, in case Pop-Pop "McCoy" was a Sephardic Anusi--since he was born in Portugal during the Peninsular War and fled it by the time that he was two years old; and maybe Spanish) would be the main ones. I don't know how far you'd get with Irish (since Pop-Pop Farrell did speak it), Scottish, Walloonian and Flemish Belgian, and other languages; but you could try those, too (to reach out to the Pirongs and Meijerses, for example).

By the way, Spanish and French, German, and Italian would work for Dad's side, too; since there are Danilowicz and Andrulevicus cousins in Latin America, and a Fockova cousin in Switzerland.

Post After A Busy Day: Is Greg Gutfeld Really Jewish?

Undeniably yes. Even though he is a raised-Catholic agnostic, he's still ethnically Jewish and has an Ashkenazic Jewish surname--German/Yiddish "good field". To make a long theological discussion short and use Greg Gutfeld as a case in point, as well as to quickly compare him to case-in-point me, one can be an ethnic Jew and not considered Jewish--whether or not he or she is actually religious Jewish. By the way, Anusi (Crypto Jewish) families can go back at least a century to even the Dark Ages.

Case in point, you have Catholic Greg Gutfeld who has said that he is not Jewish; and whether that's ignorance or denial on his part, I don't know. But Bill O'Reilly wished him a "Happy Hanukkah" once, and that's when he brought it up. Greg Gutfeld could well (and understandably) be an Anusi or an in-the-dark descendant of Anusim--or maybe he sadly doesn't see "Jewish" as an ethnic label (or maybe he does and is in denial about it).

Another case in point, my self-loathing dad and his parents. Same thing as Greg Gutfeld (assuming that Greg Gutfeld knows better and is an Anusi)--raised Catholic, descendants of Anusim, in loathable and loathing denial that they're Jewish, and considering "Jewish" as a religious--not an ethnic--label.

I hope that, that address a question that I've seen implied or explicitly come up in my FeedJit and Blogger stats.

Necesito Refrescar Mi Espanol...

I need to brush up on my Spanish. Being a Jewish Marylander descended from a Spaniard (perhaps a Sefardic Jew, which we'll never know for sure until we find out who "John McCoy" really was besides the Spain-born man who he tried to hide), I need to get back into learning Spanish. Yo estoy en acuerdo con Geraldo Rivera que necesitamos una nacion bilingue en Ingles y Espanol. Despues de todos, los indios estuvieron aqui primero y hablaron espanol desde los 1500s. By the way, I'm using Google Translate to help me refresh what Spanish I cannot remember and learn what Spanish I don't know-- though I could quit being perezosa and use mi diccionario de espanol y ingles.

A Jew Can Celebrate The Non-Catholic Part of Mardi Gras...

Nonetheless, I may have overdone the celebracion de Martes Gordos. My sister had a point: I am now on a sugar crash. To be fair, I didn't take any of the treif esn. However, three glasses of chocolate milk, plus a frozen-yogurt milkshake, plus King's Cake still counts as getting more on a sugar crash; and a sugar crash in of itself may be treif-- I am tired, after all. Meanwhile, the beads are from UMBC's dining hall, and I didn't have to do anything skeavy or lo kashrut to earn them.
