Ying & Yang—i.e., Reilly and Camille. For Example...

  1. Both are indeed color contrasts—Reilly is an Offwhite Apricot Maltipoo with angel-wing markings, and Camille is a Apricot Maltipoo with fox-like markings and some white hairs.
  2. Reilly is the balance of introverted "Momma", and Camille is the balance of extroverted "Mimi".
  3. Reilly is a "Polar Bear Face", and Camille is a "Teddy Bear Face".
  4. Cam is more of a foodie and water drinker than Ri.
  5. Reilly is bigger than Camille, whom can jump higher due to her small size.
  6. Cam usually leads the trouble of going upstairs when she's not supposed to do so, and she won't stay on the bed during naptime. Reilly, on the other hand, usually leads the trouble of barking (as she did while I typed)  and bursting out the back door to eat mulch, poop, and sticks.
  7. Reilly is a Patrilineal Maltese (Patrilinealtese?) and a Matrilineal MaltiJew (and you can definitely see what I did there in terms of the talking about the Matrilineal Poo[dle]), whereas Camille is a Patrilineal Maltipoo and a Matrilineal Toy Poodle. Thus, she's a MaltiJew on her dad's side. Meanwhile, Reilly's "Momma" identifies more with her Jewish heritage (and Reilly was even named in a shiyum shel haminhag Ashkenazi), whereas Camille's "Mimi" identifies with her more-remote French heritage (Incidentally, at the reunion, I found that the DeBoys are of Jewish heritage, anyway—not to mention that "Mimi" inadvertently named Camille Dominique after Great-Great-Granddad's paternal grandmother!)
  8.  Cam dreads the sound of recycling and garbage trucks, whereas Reilly dreads the sound of a neighbor's macho Corvette.
By the way, blogging about Reilly and Camille provides useful writing practiceif only "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" could become a full-time writer and stay home with her "kalvbat" and maybe babysit Cam during the day as well as become an analyst-commentator in addition to an author!

Pictures Of Thursday's Morning Grind For Reilly And Camille, And How Reilly's Barking Can Affect Life Dangers

I almost did not survive to today's morning grind, and the long story made short is this:

When I woke up at about 5:45-6:00 AM, I had to head to the restroom. Since I have IBS, anyway, I should've headed to the restroom earlier and not waited until Reilly starting barking like a banshee. Since I waited until Reilly started barking and I had to put the muzzle on her, I was already stressed enough. Hurriedly running to the restroom and closing my bedroom door to keep Reilly from escaping my room, I ended up turning around and almost falling down the staircase head first and on my back.

Luckily, I was able to scream for help as I held on to the staircase pole and was able to stay in the precarious position in which I ended up until help arrived (and this is not withstanding that getting lectured about being "a fall risk" by my mother, whom had to help me and also gave me a hard time about my IBS flareups as well as what else she perceives to be my fault, is embarrassing). Then I was able to get the restroom and come back to where Reilly was waiting patiently, although she had barked while I was in there.

When I came back and took the muzzle off of her, I discovered that she'd already gotten it off of herself. She may have gotten it off when I was in the bathroom. although the barks that I heard indicated that she had the muzzle on her and couldn't bark significantly. In any case, I unbuckled the muzzle, went through a schpiel about not barking, gave her scritches, and finally got up early after I couldn't get back to sleep. Besides, Reilly needed to "go potty" and loves going downstairs to see Camille and "Mom Mom" in the mornings, anyway.

Meanwhile, the pictures below show a typical morning grind for Reilly & Camille. The typical grind includes, besides the morning-greeting sessions and "going potty outside":

  1. Eating breakfast ("num nums") after a morning walk, with consummate foodie Camille particularly being excited about having her "num nums".
  2. Scouring for "nasties" and wanting their human family's food, despite that they just ate.
  3. A morning playtime session.
  4. Their morning nap (BTW, dogs can sleep up to at least 12 hours in a day!)

"Will Bite For Belly Rubs & Growl At the Jumping Foodie", And a Hanukkah & Christmas Gift For Reilly?

When "Auntie Michelle"/"Mimi" sent Reilly and Camille up to greet "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole", an insistent-on-continuous-belly-rubs Reilly growled at "Auntie Michelle" after she told her that it was time to go back downstairs—or actually, per "Auntie Michelle", she growled at and tried to bite her "auntie" as she picked her up off of the bed to carry her back downstairs.

Does this sound similar—รก la Camille, perhaps? Besides, Reilly and Camille pick up habits from each other. Speaking of habits, by the way, Reilly decided that she'd had enough of one Camille's habits—and "Momma" again misinterpreted an incident. Instead of being jealous that Camille was being picked up by "Auntie Michelle" while they were waiting for "num nums", Reilly was talking to Camille and being glad that "Auntie Michelle" stopped her from impatiently jumping on "Mom-Mom".

As for the Hanukkah and Christmas gift: "Momma" double checked to see if there was an insert in the card—there wasn't any, as "Auntie Michelle" and "Mom-Mom" assured "Momma". Could the card be a sign or a hint that both "Momma" and Reilly will be honored this Hanukkah and Christmas—that is, honored to have Reilly's "Daddy" and "Momma"'s helpmate in their lives? Especially if "Momma" and Reilly have to flee to Canada or can make aliyah before January 20th, having Reilly's "Daddy" and "Momma"'s helpmate in their lives would really—obviously—help.

Vet Visit For Camille In the Morning, Sleepy Reilly, and the "Auntie Nicole" Whom's "Enough To Drive People Crazy"

Camille has a vet visit in the morning because she threw up something—and needlessly to say, "Mom-Mom" once again found something in which to blame "Auntie Nicole" for something.

"You're enough to drive people crazy...!"

(The "with your" after "crazy" was unfollowable.)

By the way, there's part of the reason that "Auntie Nicole" rarely laughs—she can't laugh too much in the end when she endures mistreatment like that. In this case, all that "Auntie Nicole" did was laugh about Camille the consummate foodie going so far as to get mad at "Mom-Mom" for not letting her eat her...eh...regurgitation.

"Auntie Nicole" knows that puppies will eat their vomit, but wow—she thought that Cam was growling at Ri, and then she saw her growling and fighting to wriggle out of "Mom-Mom"'s arms! Cam took being a puppy and a foodie to a whole new level!

Then came the "Damned since she didn't" moment:

"You're enough to drive people crazy with that crap!"

Laugh a "Whoa!" laugh about Cam taking being a puppy and foodie to a whole new level, be damned; and worry when your hear that "Mom-Mom" and "Mimi" are taking Cam to the vet in the morning, be damned! Then have people wonder why you sit up alone at night thinking about both your future and poor Ri's future, despite that you should be taking Reilly back upstairs and going "night nights"—and you're amazed that even reading at night doesn't always help you fall asleep or sleep well enough, and you also know that Reilly's patiently waiting for you to finish reading before turning the reading light off affects her to be a little more sleepy during the day.

On A Lighter Note: Camille The Consummate Foodie & Midair Jumps

As one can see, Camille loves her "num-nums" and is impatient enough to beg, claw "Mom-Mom"'s legs, and even jump. Meanwhile, as in these pictures from a while back, the girls are napping after a good walk and other morning-routine activities—including engaging in the consummate-foodie routine, which can wear Cam out :-).

The (Maybe-Not-So-Much) Anticipated(?) Part Of the Promised Post: How Reilly Resembles "Momma"

One time, "Momma" had been looking at pictures of a family member, and an infamous one at that. Still, "Momma" couldn't help but crack up when Reilly (at least as "Momma" saw after she'd just looked at the pictures) resembled the family member. To be fair, puppies do end up resembling their owners overtime, and the infamous family member bears (or, at least when he was younger, bore) resemblance to Reilly's "Pop-Pop" and "Great-Granddad" (and that's how "Momma", incidentally and as she's mentioned elsewhere, figured out that "Danilovich" was not just a patronymic in that relative's case).

In Reilly's case, then, whether resembling "Momma" physically's good is a subjective call. Meanwhile, here's at least some of how else Reilly resembles "Momma" (or at least "Momma" thinks, and barring factors such as "Momma"'s OCD/Anxiety):

  1. She knows what she wants and why she wants it when she wants it.
  2. She's loyal and jealous.
  3. She's stubborn and Type A in many ways.
  4. She can actually put up with quite a bit, although she's not always the most-patient type!
  5. She's a foodie!
  6. She has her breaking points and doesn't always react well when she reaches them!
  7. She's empathetic (As for "Momma". she tries to be an empath!).
  8. She can be defensive, whether rightly or wrongly!
However, she as an extrovert does balance out her introverted "Momma"; and she also balances out introverted Camille.
