Every Time That I See "A Christmas Story" and Ralphie Beats Up Farcus...

I cry for Ralphie, especially when he's crying while looking his mother in the face and facing what happened. The year is 1940, and Ralphie is nine years of age at the time (meaning that he was born in 1931; almost a half-decade after my mom's mom, and a half-decade before my dad's parents). Ralphie is part of the infamous Silent Generation; in which abuse is either tolerated and even encouraged, or just plain not talked about. By the way, I'm quite sure that Joe Paterno has had the "Silent Generation" excuse used for him-- after all, he grew up in the "You don't talk about it" culture.

Having gone through abuse myself and hearing of a cousin's work in which she has to deal with horrendous cases of abuse, I can relate to Ralphie. That Farcus is just a plain old bully isn't the case, but Farcus' situation (obvious abuse-- perhaps neglect being the full, but still painful, extent) isn't an excuse for him to pick on and abuse Ralphie. Ralphie is an obvious target for Farcus because (from all outward appearances, such as to Farcus' eyes), Ralphie seems to come from an intact and good family (He doesn't. His dad isn't exactly Husband or Dad of the Year.).

As the saying goes, "Abuse begets abuse" and (as Dr. Sandy Wilson put the saying in other words) "Hurt people hurt people." The saying is based on-- besides common sense-- direct-from-the-Bible admonitions:

12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

The desire to hurt others because of being hurt is a strong desire. Then the desire to hurt others affects that others are hurt. Then the hurting of others brings forth that more people want to hurt other people.

By the way, be thankful if you have been abused:

9 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, 10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. 11 For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.

Those who have not known the richness of suffering do not know the richness of hope-- "Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation". Anybody who has been free of suffering will have no reason to hope for something better than suffering, for redemption, and for salvation.

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas (And this Yehudit celebrates both Thanksgiving-- Yom L'Toda-- and Christmas-- Chag Mashiach.).

Please Help Me With This Stats Project-- And Relatives, Contact Me

First, to the relatives: that I know that our family is meshuga is pretty obvious. I hope that Mia, Pop-Pop, Janet Rozzi, and a whole bunch of others will someday apologize for-- among other things-- not acknowledging our Jewish heritage, and for thinking that kapoesque (i.e., Great-Grandma Gaydos') acts and murderous (i.e., Pop-Pop's) acts are okay to cover up and even defend once found out about.

And Janet, I still don't care that the times were different-- that excuse didn't and doesn't fly. Many relatives died in the Shoah because of your endeared "Grandma"'s actions. I also still maintain that were Jack Feldman and Dad eating kosher as their Jewish digestive systems were made for them to do, they could manage their Chron's without even hospital visits such as Jack endured. I do considerably well with my Irritable Bowel Syndrome because I eat almost-always kosher.

And with all due respect to Great-Grandaunt Aggie and Great-Granduncle Andy, their straying from Andy Rusnak's and Julia Fosko Rusnak's (or at least their Rusnak and Fosko ancestors') paths of keeping kosher set off their Alzheimeric proclivities-- Jewish systems, no mater how much we like it, weren't made to eat treif. By the way, from what I can see in the "Rusnak Roots" cookbook,  Great-Grandaunt Aggie's and Great-Granduncle Andy's generation (which is the Fosko-Rusnak children's generation) are who began straying from keeping kosher.

As for my Stats project (and if Janet and any of the rest of Dad's family who hate me help out, I'll be surprised), please answer "How will/did you spend Thanksgiving?". I answered "With family" (my mom's family, not my dad's-- especially those who hate me). I need at least 49 more people to answer. And some people will be answering after Thanksgiving or perhaps celebrated Thanksgiving early, so I included "did... spend Thanksgiving".

Happy and Kosher Thanksgiving. And for my relatives who want to contact me and talk about anything that I've said re the family or anyone or anything else, send me an e-mail. I can even take hate e-mail-- as I've said, I'm used to family hating me.

More URJ Arrogance: A Real Reform BA'AL Teshuvah Alright...

Richard Furman has hutzpah to be saying the following. Why did Moshe address the men, by the way? Moshe addressed primarily the men with He said to the people "'Be ready for three days, don’t go near a woman.'" The Ivri men and women understood this as that the men were not to have sexual relations with the women (and vice versa) during Hayamim L'Kiddush. And the ishim, being the roshim l'ishot, had to be addressed. Moshe was not being chauvinistic or "not do[ing] all of what he was told".

The moment of the revelation at Sinai is a curious moment; It begins with our text telling us how God tells Moses to prepare the Israelites:

God said to Moses “Go to the people and sanctify them today and tomorrow; they shall wash their clothes. They shall be ready on the third day, for on the third day Adonai will descend before the eyes of all the whole nation upon Mount Sinai.”(Ex. 19:10-11)

The actual delivery of this message is rather different:

וַיֵּרֶד מֹשֶׁה מִן־הָהָר אֶל־הָעָם וַיְקַדֵּשׁ אֶת־הָעָם וַֽיְכַבְּסוּ שִׂמְלֹתָֽם: וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל־הָעָם הֱיוּ נְכֹנִים לִשְׁלשֶׁת יָמִים אַֽל־תִּגְּשׁוּ אֶל־אִשָּֽׁה:(שם, י"ד-ט"ו)

Moses descended from the mountain to the people. He sanctified the people and they washed their clothing. He said to the people “Be ready for three days, don’t go near a woman.”(Ibid, 14-19)

That Moses here is injecting a misogyny into the moment that God did not command is noted by Ellen Frankel in the Five Books of Miriam (117-118). Indeed, even the קול סתם, the narrative voice of Torah, tells us that Moses addresses “העםwhereas God told him to address "כל־העם", thus suggesting that Moses did not do all of what he was told. The injection of that misogyny, however, is not the main problem with this disparity, but rather that the change took place at all. This introduces the fundamental problem of mediated experience: the mediator necessarily changes the message.

Sometimes, I'm Lonelier When I'm Not Alone (As the Saying Goes)...

I have a mom who agrees with Rep. Michelle Bachmann's irresponsible comment that "Congress has more important things to pay attention to" re Penn State and Jerry Sandusky, a sister who'll vote for Ron Paul, and a whole bunch of friends and acquaintances (and other loved ones) who don't know half of the backstory of what I've been through. Then I have insensitive people-- disabled and non disabled alike-- telling me to make lemonade out of the lemons which life has given me. So, they can get and have the juicer, or can peel and squeeze the lemons-- good for them.

And you wonder why I haven't-- albeit selfishly-- been tempted to commit suicide?

I Think That Some Relatives May Be Reading This Blog & Still Won't Contact Me....

I honestly don't bite-- if I don't need to bite, that is. But I bite and fight pretty fairly. I'm not perfect; but I do love and am thankful for my family, even if they don't love and be thankful for me. "Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful."

Great-Grandma Czarnecki was thankful for even the son who intended to rid of her in the most painful way possible-- in a cold hospital with her leg amputated and almost thrown away when she was already dying and wanted to die at home. That's why she "want[ed] to talk about it" to Aunt Mary-- she loved us enough to do that for Aunt Mary and the rest of us (including her great-great-granddaughter Brianna, who was yet to be born at the time. She loved Madison, too; but considered her a step-great-great-granddaughter, as Madison really only is-- through no fault of her own; but she's only Dad's step-- not his biological-- granddaughter, and she'll always be so far.).

As I said on Facebook last night (and after a distant cousin revealed that he's part of one of the crazy branches as well, and to the point where he will take the name of any woman who he will marry), I-- like Great-Grandma did-- talk about our family because I care enough to see our family history exposed to and reformed in the light:

  • Luke 12:2-5, NKJV: 2 For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. 3 Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. 4 “And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!
  •
  • 1 Corinthians 4:5: Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.
  • 2 Corinthians 4:2:  But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
That's why I do not dread Dad, Pop-Pop, and others who want to silence and our family histories and collective family history-- and that's why I want to thankfully use my gift of the right to free speech and "talk about" our family history.

I'll Make YouTube Videos In the Morning Instead, If I Can...

I'm just too tired; it's already been a long week (e.g., visiting a women's prison and still having no cell phone), and I can do more in the morning-- or afternoon, depending on when I get up. And who knows what the next second holds?

"13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will[g] go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” 16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

"17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin."

I Have No Problem Submitting Legitimately-Self-Hating, Israel-Threatening Jews To Masada2000.org...

Being talmidim of Meir Kahane, Masada2000.org often can and do go too far in who they consider Self-Hating, Israel-Threatening Jews-- and sometimes they don't go far enough (e.g., Jack Czarnecki. Excuse me, Masada2000.org; Jack Czarnecki refused to admit that he is Jewish when he was serving tax papers to Anti-Semitic Nixon, and thus refused to take a stand for the Jewish people. Then he later intended to rid of his Jewish Catholic mother, Mary M. Trudnak Czarnecki. Why don't I see "Czarnecki, John 'Jack' on Masada2000's infamous list).

That's why I submit only legitimate candidates. e.g.:

  1. PM David Cameron (who got himself de-facto submitted long before I entered the picture),
  2. Great-Grandma Gaydos (And if you think that betraying relatives during the Shoah and refusing to help them make aliyah is okay, you must have your head stuck in something.),
  3. Senator Barbara Mikulski. I've blogged about her being a Self-Hiding, Self-Despising Jew; and having come from families of Self-Hiding, Self-Despising Jews, I had to go through the schpiel to discover my actual heritage-- and I never would've dreamed in a million years that we are Jews. And I am sick of that there are many Self-Hiding, Self-Despising Jews; especially ones like Senator Barbara Mikulski who refuse to use their power and authority to be open about their Jewish heritage and take a stand for the Jewish people. By the way, most Poles do not have brown hair and brown eyes, which Senator Mikulski does. And she got lucky, too-- I had to get the brown eyes from my (as far as is known) gentile Spanish-Irish-American mom (My dad's family ended up being Olive- and fair-complexioned, non-brown-eyed Ashkenazic Jews; and we were lucky to retain the Olive complexion where we did-- go figure.).

I Could But Won't Be Submitting My Sister to Masada2000's Infamous List (For Right Now)...

I ran into some errors on my computer, which I took as a sign. Meanwhile, I don't see how a Jew with relatives in Tel Aviv who were already betrayed by her kapo great-grandmother (Mary Rusnak Gaydos, whose name I absolutely submitted to Masada2000.org) is okay with betraying her relatives again. Voting for Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) is an ultimate betrayal of Israel.

What Congressional approval does Ron Paul need to help Israel fight Iran? Isn't blessing Israel more important than listening to Congress? George W. Bush thought so when he declared war against Kabul (Afghanistan and Pakistan, cf. 1 Kings 9:13). George W. Bush blessed the memory of Dana Falkenberg and blessed Dana Falkenberg's people and country when he had Israel's greatest and then-freshly-wounded ally invade Kabul.

Why would Ron Paul ever listen to one Self-Hating Mossad agent and withdraw support from Israel? By the way, Ron Paul could never get away with saying that on FOX News-- Self-Hating Wolf Blitzer let him get away with saying that (as my sister told me. I don't watch or support Anti Semitic, though I'll glance at it from time to time at school since it's on the cafeteria TVs, anyway; and all I see on CNN is Far Leftism and Anti Semitism).

Ron Paul had better not be a Self-Hating Jew-- or Jewish for that matter, anyway-- because he will be particularly cursed if he is:

1 Now the LORD had said to Abram:

Get out [Lekh Lekha] of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Last Blog Entry For the Next Couple of Hours...

When you have no cell phone (My friend couldn't find my cell phone.), no books (except for one notebook to take notes about a prison tour), papers to protect, and just a computer (and not the one at home); you tend to get pretty bored pretty fast and tend to blog a lot-- and a lot and a lot, and a lot (Try that phrase to Toby Keith's "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This, which I heard the last part of on the way home today-- and I still like Toby's older stuff, pre-Late 2000s, better. By the way, "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This" could go great with "Beauty and the Beast" and "My Heart Will Go On".).

I'm kvetching already. Meanwhile, I'll make some YouTube videos when I get home, and they'll be about the prison visit, etc..

I'd better go before I kvetch more and utz everybody.

I'm Actually Surprised By How Far- and Quickly-Reaching My Blog Is...

Some of my own views are auto-browser counted (but not on my browser at home. Only RevolverMaps doesn't have a way to not count my own views, as far as I know.).

And I wonder why more people don't like my Facebook page. I'm not asking only those who agree with my views to "Like" my page. I'm just asking for haters, spammers, etc. to not "Like" my page. Many of the people who "Like" my page and are Facebook Friends with me, follow me on Twitter, and subscribe to and are Friends with me on YouTube disagree with at least quite a few of my views.

Re My Math: Let's Recap How Jewish and gentile Dad and I Each Are Again...

So, only Great-Great-Granddad Trudniak was a gentile (as far as is known. Could I be fully Patrilineally Jewish? Maybe. But we'll eventually found out.). The rest were Anusim (Andrulewicz-Chernetski, Fosko-Rusnak, Fosko-Hanzok-- since the Foskos and Hanzoks still follow B'midbar 36--, etc.) or openly Non-Messianic Jewish (Morgiewicz/Margiewicz, Danilowicz-- except Mia, who still'd like to kill me; and I had to get the cheap shot in there--, etc.).

So, recap time (Jewish = Blue; gentile = green):

Mihal Trudniak + Ana Monkaova ==> (Mary M. Trudniak: (1/2 + 1/2) = Matrilineally Jewish) + Anthony Czarnecki, Sr. neeunknown Chernetski ==> (Jack Czarnecki: (1/4 + 1/41/2) = 3/4 mostly Patrilineally, Jewish) + Joan Gaydos ==> (Greg Czarnecki: (1/83/81/2) = 7/8, mostly Matrilineally, Jewish).

So I'm (as far as I know) 3.5/8 (Patrilineally) Jewish because Dad is almost fully Jewish. I'm 4.5/8 gentile; so I fall almost in between Ya'akov v'Esav  (Patrilineally Jewish through the first Jew, Yitzchak; toshav-habrit 'im Avraham) and b'nei Ya'akov (Patrilineally Jewish through Ya'akov, son of the first Jew, Yitzchak; toshav-habrit 'im Avraham. Remember that Avraham, Sarah, Rivkah, etc. were all Ivrim, but goyim-- not being toshav-habrit 'im Avraham as was Yitzchak).

By the way, want to guess who Esav represents spiritually? Non-Messianic Jews:

22 But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?|” So she went to inquire of the LORD.
23 And the LORD said to her:

Two peoples shall be separated from your body;
One people shall be stronger than the other,
And the older shall serve the younger.”
24 So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb.

6 But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, 7 nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.”[b] 8 That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed. 9 For this is the word of promise: “At this time I will come and Sarah shall have a son.”[c]
10 And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac 11 (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls), 12 it was said to her, “The older shall serve the younger.”[d] 13 As it is written, “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.”[e]

By the way, more is explained at Hebrew4Christians; but be careful: John Parsons holds what one could call a Reform or more-liberal Conservative Messianic view. In other words, he does not believe in the inerrancy of Tanakh. Contrast him with Kahal Yeshuat Yisra'el, who do believe in the inerrancy of Tanakh and-- I believe-- who used to be Conservative-Messianic affiliated.

That Damned, Proselytizing Mormon, Frank....

He thinks that hating all of my YouTube videos, proselytizing and verbally abusing me in every singlew one of his comments, Anti Semitism, and any other intimidation and disingenuousness is going to get me to convert into Joseph Smith's Pseudo-Christian cult. He couldn't be more wrong. I am a Jewish Christian who is quite content in knowing Tanakh-Emet-- Torah, Nevi'im (none of whom were ever Mormon, by the way), Ketuvim (none of which ever included HaSefer Mormoni), and Hadashah.

By the way, I recommend John Kraukauer's "Under the Banner of Heaven". The Christian, Jewish or gentile, should not be afraid to read it-- even though Krakauer lumps in Christianity with Mormonism and vice versa. I had to read it once for a class, and I'm glad that I did.

The Statute of Limitations For Rape May've Expired for Natalie Wood, But Who Else Has Kirk Douglas Raped?

Back in his day, Kirk Douglas could've easily gotten the death penalty for rape, particularly child and adolescent rape. But then-16-year-old Natalie Wood was afraid to report him, and eventually went to her grave without doing so. But who else has Kirk Douglas raped in his day? He can't get the death penalty for any crimes after Coker v. Georgia (1977) and Kennedy v. Louisiana (2008), but ex-post facto applies only as it says that it does-- "ex-post facto-- after the fact". So once Coker and Kennedy came down, Douglas escaped the death penalty for any crime that he committed after each of the respective rulings were made. In other words, once the death penalty for rape was banned, it was banned for the here- or there-after.

But the question remains: since Kirk Douglas raped Natalie Wood and got away with it (before Coker and Kennedy), what did he do after Coker and Kennedy? And even since he got away with raping Natalie Wood, who else did he rape before Coker and Kennedy?

Since they can reopen the Natalie Wood drowning case, they can investigate Kirk Douglas to make sure that he hasn't done anything else since getting away with his own crimes against Natalie Wood-- and there's always probable cause to at least investigate someone who got away with rape once, no matter how long ago the statute of limitations on that particular rape expired.

Once Jewish, Always Jewish-- And Usually Dreked On For Whatever Reason

I already blogged about Natalie Wood nee Zakharenko Gurdin. I've also blogged about my family several times, and beyond consistently about Pfc. Bernard S. "Bernie" Czarnecki nee Chernetski or Czarniecki (since the 1920 Census gives "Chernetski", and the naturalization records for his parents and brother Tony gives "Czarniecki"). When you're like Great-Granduncle Bernie, you get dreked on-- crapped on, s___ted on. You get dreked on worse than Pfc. Leonard Kravitz:

"[Lenny Kravitz was n]amed after his uncle, Pfc. Leonard Kravitz, who was killed in action in Korea on 7 March 1951 while suppressing a Chinese attack and saving most of his platoon; he was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. Lenny has joined the fight to get his uncle the Medal of Honor. Supporters believe the Medal of Honor was denied to Pfc. Kravitz because he was Jewish."

Great-Granduncle Bernie joined the Army earlier than or on December 12, 1940. Born Anusi, he remained a Jewish Catholic and served with the 111th Infantry Division's Medical Core. Shot in the head with shrapnel and operated on to get the shrapnel removed, he came through the operation unsuccesfully and was buried at Holy Family Cemetery in an unceremonious way after he was removed from the Lebanon, PA Veterans' Affairs Hospital and Homes. He took 18 years to be fully KIA, breathing his last breath on July 16, 1963.

Nobody carries his name-- none of my side or his other grand- and great-grand-nephews and -nieces have his name. Nobody remembers him-- his drekish nephew Jack and others even refused to acknowledge that he existed for the longest of time. Nobody visits his grave, which lies untouched at Holy Family Cemetery. Nobody tries to go after the estates of those who defrauded him and his beloved sister Alice Dombroski-- his two brothers, John and Joe, who got his mentally-changed self to sign off his own and Alice's survivor's Social Security benefits to them before he died.

At least Pfc. Leonard Albert Kravitz has family fighting for him. Pfc. Bernard S. "Bernie" Czarnecki (WW2, 111th Infantry Division Medical Core, KIA) doesn't even have his name and memory carried on.

Can We End Hunger and Poverty? Not In This Lifetime...

Mark 14:6-9

New King James Version (NKJV)

6 But Jesus said, “Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for Me. 7 For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good; but Me you do not have always. 8 She has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial. 9 Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.”

And

John 12

New King James Version (NKJV)

1 Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had been dead,[a] whom He had raised from the dead. 2 There they made Him a supper; and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with Him. 3 Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
4 But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who would betray Him, said, 5 “Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii[b] and given to the poor?” 6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it.
7 But Jesus said, “Let her alone; she has kept[c] this for the day of My burial. 8 For the poor you have with you always, but Me you do not have always.”

Luke 7:36-40

New King James Version (NKJV)

A Sinful Woman Forgiven
36 Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. 37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, 38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. 39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”
40 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.”
So he said, “Teacher, say it.”
We know that this Mary was Miryam Ha'Achot-Eliezer v'Marta. Another Mary, Miryam m'Migdal, was healed of seven demons (cf. Mark 16:9, Luke 8:2). And they weren't taken out of all their pain, hunger, and suffering right away. But something kept them going. A most-important hunger and thirst was fulfilled. What was it? Hatoldah shel HaShomronit Yehudit can tell you:
A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” 8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you
living water.” 11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”

(A Parsha Katan: Mayim L'Chaim)

And
The Bread from Heaven
22 On the following day, when the people who were standing on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except that one which His disciples had entered,[c] and that Jesus had not entered the boat with His disciples, but His disciples had gone away alone— 23 however, other boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks— 24 when the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they also got into boats and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus. 25 And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here?”
26 Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. 27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
30 Therefore they said to Him, “What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do? 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’[d]
32 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

(A Parsha Katan: Lechem M'Shamayim)

As for me, I've admittedly had to Google and otherwise online-wise learn HaLashon shel Avoti; since I myself (as I've explained several times) never got the chance to get Ivrit or Yidish passed down to me. But that's a part of the hunger and thirst that I've had to have fulfilled: first coming to Mashiach and then having to discover b'Ezrat Mashiach a heritage and a chosenness that I missed for much of my life-- and a heritage that is much more fulfilling than the Anusi, Self-Hating heritage that my dad and his parents (and much of our family) had, has, and sadly continues to have lived with.

So I in my own situation-- as both Miryams and the Shomronit Yehudit learned in their own situations-- that one may not be able to end physical or other hungers right away and in this lifetime; but one can-- b'Ezrat Mashiach-- fulfill spiritual hunger, which is the most-important hunger to fulfill.

I Finally Gave In and Joined Faceshuk, Though I'd've Preferred An Invitation...

I like to humble, whether or not you believe me. That's much of why I don't self promote. I like to let the chips fall where they may and be reached out to over reaching out. For example, from Luke 14:

Take the Lowly Place
7 So He told a parable to those who were invited, when He noted how they chose the best places, saying to them: 8 “When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in the best place, lest one more honorable than you be invited by him; 9 and he who invited you and him come and say to you, ‘Give place to this man,’ and then you begin with shame to take the lowest place. 10 But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you. 11 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
12 Then He also said to him who invited Him, “When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. 13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. 14 And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

Not to brag, but I've done this in many situations before and have felt guily, worried, or cocky when doing otherwise.
