Most of these start out as memes, cover photos, or profile pictures on Facebook.

Many Shabbat practices actually come from practices devoted to Sikkut and Ki'yun. That's part of why I hate when legalists tell me that I have to keep Torah and P'rushi practices.

Mom recommended that I take this one to the hospital (since I asked her which one of my bears I should buy for myself to take to the hospital). I'm naming my own version of it "Azaryahu" (Or "Azah" if I decide to genderize it to be a girl bear--too bad that there's no feminine form of "-yahu" names.). "Azaryahu" (or "Azah") may become my WoW-supporting bear if I ever can't buy and/or use my WoW bear for myself to support WoW.

Petition Against Nehemia Gordon From A Group Of Non-Messianic Karaites That Even Messianics Should Sign

I advise everyone to sign the PetitionOnline petition against Nehemia Gordon. According to what Nehemia claims is his interpretation of Scripture, he should "shalt surely kill [a Messianic Jew like me]; thy hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to draw thee away from the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. " (Deuteronomy 13:10-11, JPS)

So, Nehemia is not even being consistent towards what he claims is his own interpretation of Scripture--the Karaite one. He is instead deceitfully working in church settings, etc. to attempt to turn people away from Yeshua--thus, he's using (if you will) an Anti-Messianic equivalent of the Mohammedan taqiyya. This is not a Karaite principle in any way, shape, form, manner, circumstance, or fashion.

By the way, see "The Hebrew Yeshua vs. the Greek Jesus". Nehemia is grossly inconsistent, for example. He tells people not to use Jewish tradition that is not in the Tanakh, yet he said "Kaddish" (which is not in Scripture) when his dad died and answered "No, not according to Jewish tradition" when I asked if I could name a pet after a deceased relative.

Also, remember that Nehemia verbally abused me, and he has no problem hurting others. As the petition reads, Nehemia "is doing more harm than good. We don't care about how your works are received by pastors, rabbis and Christians. We don't care about 'fantastic reviews.' We take no stock in them. Their comments are meaningless to us. Our eyes are on you and the effects your actions are having." Nehemia is nothing more than an abusive hypocrite and opportunist.

MK Michael Ben-Ari: A Reflection of Anti Messianics On the Israeli Far Right (And On Any Side of the Political Spectrum In Even the Diaspora, Really)

First of all, how can a girl who is blind even call the police if she's not allowed to have Braille literature? Yad L'Achim wouldn't let her have a Braille-keypad phone to call the police--some of whom probably work with Yad L'Achim. Secondly, Michael ben-Ari is no real theologian or historian, or he would know that Tanakh speaks of a New Covenant, dam is what makes kippur-l'hanefesh, G-d is the only Mashiach/Moshiach (Redeemer/Savior), and Yeshua was a Tanakh-observant Jew who shed His own blood for His people.

So, we can already see hear that Anti Messianics are especially "without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things."

I don't know how far you'd get with Irish (since Pop-Pop Farrell did speak it), Scottish, Walloonian and Flemish Belgian, and other languages; but you could try those, too (to reach out to the Pirongs and Meijerses, for example).

By the way, Spanish and French, German, and Italian would work for Dad's side, too; since there are Danilowicz and Andrulevicus cousins in Latin America, and a Fockova cousin in Switzerland.

Two Problems...

I wasn't making reading Scripture a priority in the recently-better times. Thus was fulfilled, "When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you." (Deuteronomy 8:10) and "When I have brought them to the land flowing with milk and honey, of which I swore to their fathers, and they have eaten and filled themselves and grown fat, then they will turn to other gods and serve them; and they will provoke Me and break My covenant." (Deuteronomy 31:20) You can see in the Book of Jeremiah, too, how I was handed over to my persecutors because I did not make reading Scripture in better times a priority.
I have 140 followers and 517 friends on my regular page, 201 subscribers on YouTube, 469 Twitter followers, plenty of Blogger readers, etc. (if one doesn't account for duplicates). Yet, this isn't translating into "Likes" on my public page. Thus, I have a really-shaky support network and a don't-know-what-to-do conundrum in the more-private sphere. I can't accept every friend request in the world, yet I can't get enough "Likes" (headscratcher).

Problem #1 I'm working on fixing. Problems 2a and 2b are harder to fix without your help.

Analysis and Last Word After Krystal Keith Releases Her New Single

I actually started this analysis as comments on this YouTube video--of a version of a song which I hardly enjoy anymore, since I prefer the classic version now! I can hardly stomach this version; which, by the way and if one does not account for duplicates, has only 665,316 views at this time (11:00 PM EST on April 28, 2013). So, here's the analysis:

Some people might just think that she can't sing. What TK "Warriors" (and isn't it sad that they're not Jesus Warriors sad?) have a problem with is anyone criticizing their idol in any way shape, form, fashion, circumstance, and manner. That Krystal Keith cannot sing is a sentiment with which I disagree--and by the way, I was in my elementary, middle, and high school choirs. However, there was definitely too much Usheresqueness going on, on Krystal's part in the song to which I linked,

Besides, both Toby and Krystal are jerks (and I've dealt with Krystal before and heard horror stories about Toby Keith). My problem is more with their personalities and their senses of self importance. My problem also continues to be Krystal's facade of her confidence in the length of her music career. I've blogged about this before (and, for this, have had the distinct honor of being blocked by both Mrs. Sandubrae and her worldly brother, by the way), and my continuing problem can be summed up as follows.

She's: 1) using her dad's nom de celebree ("Keith") instead of her own name. 2) on her dad's record label (and her dad is also her producer). 3) let her dad write songs for her first album (should it actually ever become a worth-buying album, anyway). 4) released "Daddy, Dance With Me" as her first single--and which she wrote for her wedding. 5) touring with her dad.

In light of all this and other factors I suggested that she may not want to do all that and may want to make her own name. Did I get Hell for it! I was accused of being a Dixie Chicks fan by her and her crazy fan Denise Denis. Then she later complained in an article, "“I’m a completely different artist than he is, and I definitely want to have my own voice. I just want people to be at least open to listening to me with an open mind, and not just tagging me as soon as they hear my name.”"

So, I disagree with anyone who states that she can't sing. However, I will give you that she may as well pick up another job if you think that she should. After all, at least she is smart enough to know that she's probably not going to be in the music business for long--she has a degree in Communications with a Business emphasis from the University of Oklahoma; not in Music Business like Brad Paisley. So, I'll give her that she's smart enough to know that her music career will be short.

Therefore, months later, I recounted, "I got criticized for saying for how she's sabotaging her own music career by using her dad's stage name ("Keith"), being on her dad's record label, etc.. Then what do I see later? Herself promoting her debut single as a "father-daughter song" (There she goes again!) and, before that, complaining that she's her "own artist" in an interview that I read online. While I disagree that she isn't a good singer, I agree that she is just "Toby's daughter"."

By the way, I have no interest in listening to her first--perhaps (if one counts "Mockingbird") second--single. I will not give Krystal Keith one more view, penny, or other form of credence--and looking at her Facebook page and Twitter account to look at how many followers she has was giving her credence enough.

A Flash To Dad, One Of My Mom's Brother's, and Granduncle Jim All In One Man's Face

He definitely looks at least a little like Granduncle Jim (Why the good brothers got the more-Jewish looks is beyond me. I think that Pop-Pop is not as recognizably Jewish as his two living achim tovim. Then again, maybe it's not beyond me: since they love and seek Yehovah, they got the features of our people more--and, if the AncestryDNA tests are anywhere near accurate, why Dad got a small amount of Jewish atDNA.). I also see one of my mom's brothers (and let's be fair that, that could come from the Siedenburg-Mueller Pundts, and he does have Mom-Mom's nose; but Grandddady could well be Jewish through "John McCoy"--I am still looking). I also saw Dad (and maybe I should Kaddish for Dad, too; but I feel more sorry for the man now than angry at him anymore--after all, e.g., he did take the DNA test and check with Grandma to see if any known relatives in Boston are okay).

By the way, RIP, Granddaddy--I'll meet you someday.

I found this picture of Pop-Pop on Ancestry. He looks so much like Judah "Jude" here (I hate that Shelley and Judah's dad named him after his dad, and that his dad kept the name "Jude" in the first place, by the way--using that name after the Shoah [and both of us were born in the '90s] is not smart. And I guess that my name being "Nicole", since St. Nicholas was an Anti Semite, is a bit of a problem, too.).

I have had quite a few people follow me because they've felt that I have had something to contribute. I don't know who this shame to Perry Hall, Maryland is; but I hope that someone else stops him or her from trying to hurt me and hurting others really soon--before he or she ultimately further hurts only him or her self.

When Bringing Criticims to Ancestry.com, Avoid Guys Like CulsenGenealogy

This is to warn you about agenda-driven and feinshmeker genealogists who claim to be experts about everything pertaining to AncestryDNA, etc.. Watch out for them. With all due respect, Kris, I'm going to be honest with you: AncestryDNA is a good starter test, but people who had taken it before my dad warned about problems that I should've believed them on before his results came back. For example, AncestryDNA links my dad's third cousin Kevin as his 5th-8th cousin with low (< 50%) confidence; and AncestryDNA counted Greece and "Belgarus" (whatever that is) as Eastern Europe. Use the AncestryDNA test as a starter test & stick with using the paper trail.

I - like others whom study migration of the ancestors AND also realizes that our DNA is thousands of years old - am happy to see Kris make a video and say the same thing: your genetic history is NOT your immediate paper trail. Even if that immediate trail is up to 3-500 years ago. AND that we are the result of history in the making.

That's what I thought, too--that people who were complaining about AncestryDNA "have no idea how genetic testing, and algorithms work.." and "I do not think a lot of people understand how these DNA tests work." (From TheGeneticGenealogist) Then I saw the results, and "Greece", the Balkans, and "Belgarus" as a part of Eastern Europe. Also see the comment about my cousin. As I said, use the AncestryDNA test as a starter test & stick with using the paper trail.

FTDNA shares the same EE country break down as Ancestry : Eastern European (Poland, Greece, Macedonia, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Moldova, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Belgarus, Kosovo)
I am not sure what you are trying to say? you clearly are not happy with Ancestry results, so perhaps you were looking for something specific? Deep genetics are just that. A paper trail can give you some names. DNA cannot lie.

I didn't say that DNA lies; I said that AncestryDNA is not as accurate. They even admit that they're in Beta. Also, the Balkans are Southeastern Europe (way different than Eastern--Slavic, Magyar, and Ruso), and Greece is Mediterranean (often considered Western, not Eastern) Europe. Also, you never addressed my comment about my cousin and "Belgarus".

You state that AncestryDNA is not as accurate, YET FTDNA uses the same countries, including 'Belgarus' - try looking up the history of that word. No. I will not help you. Again, you are looking for what YOU want to see, not what is there, and already known.

Fair Use Covers Of "Should've Been A Cowboy" (Yes, Toby Keith, FAIR USE!)

This is what one can do when he or she has time to pass in the UMBC laundry room and just gone listening to "Should've Been a Cowboy"--a song from when Toby Keith was still (as we Jews like to say) b'haderech l'tzedek (on the righteous path. Now, Toby Keith is--and has long been--b'haderech l'zara [on the wicked path]). Vote for which cover you like--these are public only on my blog, and unlisted on YouTube (and Toby Keith, don't you dare sue me: read Section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976--and you've stolen from at least Robert Earl Keen, so you'd have hutzpah to do anything to me).

Is the New Testament Anti Semitic?

This video best explains it, but I in particular want to respond to the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA; by the way, who I decided that I am not following on Twitter because of their endorsement of this article and Prof. Pieter van der Horst). I am disappointed in the JCPA for allowing Prof. van der Horst to decontextualize the New Testament and revise history.

Addressing Prof. van der Horst's first claim:

"The New Testament has several anti-Semitic elements in its chronologically latest documents. The Gospel of John has Jesus call the Jews “sons of the devil.” There is also a case of an anti-Jewish outburst by the Apostle Paul."

Prof. van der Horst cleary missed the verses about Jews worshipping either G-d or devils. For example:

Leviticus 17:7
They shall no more offer their sacrifices to demons, after whom they have played the harlot. This shall be a statute forever for them throughout their generations.”’
Deuteronomy 32:17
They sacrificed to demons, not to God, To gods they did not know, To new gods, new arrivals That your fathers did not fear.
Joshua 24:14-15¹⁴“Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! ¹⁵And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Prof. van der Horst also misses that Paul was not Anti Semitic but frustrated that these particular Jews would not accept that they had the blood of an innocent Man on their hands and that the blood could wash them clean only if they accepted that their Passover was sacrificed (cf. Matthew 27:24-26, Luke 23:33-35, Acts 18:5-8, 1 Corinthians 5:7). By the way--and this is another discussion--, Pilate was a vicious, crowd-riling Anti Semite who knew what he was doing and did not really believe Jesus to be innocent.

Paul indeed even stated:

"I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit,²that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. ³For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen^[a] according to the flesh, ⁴who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; ⁵of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen."

What is Anti Semitic in that?

In conclusion, Prof. van der Horst and Manfred Gerstenfeld, Prof. van der Horst's interviewer--as well as the rest of the JPCA--would do well to read the New Testament (Hadashah) and the rest of TaNaKH in content.

Weird Request: Go Sign The Petition By a Homosexual Georgia Couple

Here is the petition. As I stated, the couple are a professing Christian and a Reform Jew. "My wife and I are both small business owners, and like many American families, our family enjoys family vacations, going to church and temple, and large cookouts with our extended family, friends and community."

They also need the Gospel. Clearly, they are hostile to it and--at best--misunderstand what Dan Cathy believes and does. "Since 2003, Chick-fil-A has given more than $5 million to organizations that actively work to hurt LGBT Americans. These groups include the Family Research Council, which the Southern Poverty Law Center deems a hate group. Additionally, Chick-fil-A has donated to groups that have gone on record as calling for "criminal sanctions" against gay and lesbian Americans, as well as groups that promote so-called "ex-gay therapy," a practice both debunked and deemed as harmful by nearly every major medical authority in the country."

They do not understand that homosexuality--at best--is a thorn in the flesh with which many homosexuals struggle, and--at worst-- of "a "deprived mind," that marriage equality is "twisted up," and that making marriage equality legal is "inviting God's judgment."" Remember that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for homosexuality, and--even though this is another discussion--even more spared for their homosexuality than some cities will be for merely refusing to believe in Jesus.

Dan Cathy and others are out to help, not hurt, homosexuals and others and to even save them. Therefore, for the sake of the Gospel (which is inherently Jewish) and the Christians like Dan Cathy who believe in the Gospel, go tell Marci and Marlysa Alt what I did: "I agree with Dan Cathy and hope that he can have a dialogue with you about what Evangelical Christians believe and why we believe it."

If you can't tell them as I--a Jewish Evangelical Christian--told them, tell them that you at least believe in Dan Cathy's right to believe and discuss--even if you don't agree with--Evangelical Christian (Messianic Jewish) views. After all, if nothing else, why should Dan Cathy deprive a Jew like Marlysa Alt of the Gospel if he truly believes Romans 1:16 and 10:13-15? Also, why equally deprive a gentile like Marcia Alt of the Gospel that a Jewish man (Jesus, Yeshua) literally died (and rose) to preach to both Jews and gentiles?

I Am So Convinced That There Is Not a "Jewish Lobby"...

If there was, the ADL would've spoken out a long time ago against the Anti Semitism regarding James Holmes. I'm convinced that there is an Anti-Semitic lobby and an Anti-Missionary (Anti-Christian, Anti-Messianic) lobby, however. Why else would a Messianic Jew not be allowed to call out the ADL for not saying that James Holmes is an agnostic gentile who merely happened to volunteer at a nonsectarian camp incidentally owned by the JBBBSLA--who are not pedophiles, by the way (and how ridiculous of Bronx, New York to even search that they might be!)?

By the way, why do Google and YouTube allow searches that James Holmes could be Jewish but not allow Messianic Jews to say that he was wrongly classified as Jewish, since the ADL won't say it?
