La Tarde Del Día de Las Gracias de 2016 á La Casa De Santa Reilly

Last night, "Momma" discussed a noche normal ȧ la casa. On this Tarde Del Día de Las Gracias, partly in memory of one of "ancestors" of Reilly, "Momma" will discuss Thanksgiving Eve 2016 (which has the somber overture of the 42nd anniversary of Reilly's "ancestor"'s passing. Surprisingly, though, that wasn't brought up or recalled—though "Momma" is pretty sure that "Mom-Mom" is thinking about it, and supposes that "Mom-Mom" might be okay with "Momma" calling Reilly's "ancestor" "Pop-Pop Allen" or "Great-Granddaddy Allen" when she mentions him to Reilly.).

So far, Thanksgiving Eve has gone like the following:

Camille knows that she's cute and can get away with a lot.

  • Camille also treated "Mimi" much better than she treated Reilly—she showed "Mimi" that she is thankful to be "Camille Dominique Allen-Czarnecki" (or if "Mimi" wants to get into touch with far-less-remote heritage, Camilia Dominica Charnetski y Alen—or really "Alan", since "ll" would be pronounced as "y" en español, and "Allen" was "Allan" beforehand.)
Camille is an undyingly-devoted "dogter".

  • Reilly tolerated as "Momma" positioned her Maltipoo ear in a perked-up position.

  • She also reacted, including with a big yawn, as "Auntie Michelle" was doing some kind of tapdance or something.
A sleepy Reilly yawned to tiredness and excitement.

Bug-eyed Reilly made "Momma" laugh: "It was funny to see Ri bug eyed."

By the way:

  1. Reilly and "Momma", and Camille and her "Mimi" wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving (and "Momma" and Reilly particularly wish "Momma"'s to-be helpmate Reilly's future "Daddy" a Happy Thanksgiving, and "Momma" would still like to know about that early Christmukkah honor).
  2. Since the "ancestor" in question was likely Sephardic through his maternal grandmother (whose father was likely un converso), to the mourners:

A Typical Night At La Casa De Santa Reilly Rosalita de Yerushalayim

  1. "I was bringing the girls down, and I almost forgot to actually bring them down!"
  2. The one almost-forgotten girl licked "Auntie Michelle" affirmatively when "Auntie Michelle" "asked her if she needed to 'go potty'." The other almost-forgotten one, meanwhile, curled up on one of the chairs to wait for the one almost-forgotten one. (10:34 PM)
  3. Both curled-up-on-the-chair Camille and napping-on-the-sofa Reilly napped until Camille decided to jump down and jump up onto the sofa to be near Reilly (10:50 PM).
  4. Both Reilly and Camille wait for "Auntie Michelle"/"Mimi" and "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" to wrap up for the night (10:51 PM).
From Reilly and "Momma" (and Camille and her "Mimi"), "night nights" and early wishes for a:

  1. ליום לתודה שמח! ; גוט יום-טוב פון דאַנק! (in "Momma's" ancestral languages)
  2. ¡Feliz Día de Las Gracias!; Feliz Dia de Ação de Graças! (in the languages that Reilly's name honoree's father spoke)
  3. Bonne fête de l'Action de grâce! Joyeux Jour de Grâce! (since "Auntie Michelle" will insist on the remote-ancestral language)
  4.  In one of the languages that one of Camille's name honorees spoke....or not. Trying to look up the Portuguese, check the Yiddish, and endure the pedantry of "Auntie Michelle" was enough, thanks!

"Momma" and Reilly Thank The Veterans, Both Active-Duty And Non-Active-Duty Veterans

Remember that "Momma" even originally wanted a male puppy and to name him after Pfc. Bernard Stanley Czarnecki, WW2, DOW (בנימין שמריה בן יהודה יוחנן ושרה אסנת צהרנצקי, ז''ל). As for Reilly, she is a "great-great-grandniece" to Pfc. Bernard S. Czarnecki, and:

  1. A "grandniece" of a retired Air Force Colonel
  2. A "grandniece" of an almost-Vietnam War vet ("almost" because the war ended just as he was called to duty)
  3. A "once-removed cousin" of two Marines (one of them being an in-law cousin) and two Army soldiers (with one being a First Lieutenant, MSC)
  4. The "dogter" of a friend of an Air Force veteran, whom she has yet to meet
  5. The "dogter" of a friend of a Marine's aunt, whom she's already met
  6. The "great-great-grandniece" of a late VFW Commander and ACE member whom served in the European Theater and countless other WW2 veterans, including Pfc. Czarnecki (See above.)
  7. Countless other veterans
Reilly with one of veteran "cousins"

Many of Reilly's "relatives" are from the only state outside of Maryland in which Reilly has been. So is one of "Momma"'s friends whom was in the Air Force.

Whimpering, Shaking, And...Oh; A Squirrel

Looking intently as two squirrels were coming up to the side of the fence in view of "Momma", Reilly started barking—and then, she started whimpering and shaking as one of the squirrels trekked across the fence—and then, she wanted to bolt after the squirrel whom dreadingly travelled across the fence to a tree in the next-door yard.

Of course, upon seeing the two squirrels instead of people—dogwalkers or non dogwalkers—walk by, "Momma" watched as the scene unfolded and told Reilly to stay right where she was instead of do what she was getting ready to do—chase the squirrel, and drag "Momma"'s cart along with herself as she ran to chase the squirrel.

By the way, Reilly tends to have incidents like this frequently—after all, for example, Reilly is the same Reilly whom once escaped the backyard porch to see her friend Leo from the other side of the fence.

Meanwhile, neither Reilly nor Camille have had an apple piece and honey for Yom Teru'ah yet—and speaking of Yom Teru'ah, "Momma" and Reilly wish the following people a good rest of their 5776 (on the Hebrew calendar) and 2016 (on the Gregorian calendar. Before "Momma" knows it, in the meantime, Reilly will be both another Gregorian year—2017—and another Hebrew year—Adar 5776—older!):

  1. The people whom inspired her to write about Reillyespecially the one to whom she sent Reilly's first full biography.
  2. Everyone whom wants a better 5776 and 2016, and a good 5777 and 2017.
  3. Everyone else.

Offbeat: Yom Teru'ah For Reilly And Camille, And #NationalBoyfriendDay

Ha! Doesn't "Momma" wish for at least Reilly's sake that Reilly had a "Daddy"? May Yehovah (im yirtzeh Yehovah) provide a Yom Teru'ah miracle for Yom Teru'ah and within the beginning of October, and for #NationalBoyfriendDay—after all, the Seventh Month of 5776, and the 10th month of the Gregorian year and "Momma"'s 26th year just begun. Also, Reilly's going to be two years and seven months old on October 25th—both "Momma" and Reilly are getting only older, and "Momma" has lived almost a third of her life expectancy (which is 83, which she calculated yesterday) while Reilly has lived about 17% of a normal Maltipoo's maximum life expectancy (which is 15 years), although—im yirtzeh Yehovah—"Momma" will try to get Reilly to live at least until "Momma" is 60 (at which age, Biblically speaking, she could be expected to be a widow at minimum) and Reilly is 34—since Reilly does eat almost-exclusively organic and natural food and treats, gets regular exercise, etc.—although Reilly may not be able to even eat or get exercise if "Momma" is left single and unable to go anywhere. Besides, "Momma" can't live with "Mom-Mom" forever—and "Momma" thinks about all of this quite frequently for both her sake and Reilly's sake.

As for Yom Teru'ah, meanwhile:

  1. Camille did not like the shofar sounds at first—and "Auntie Nicole" will, i"y"Y, post videos of Camille's reaction to the shofar sounds later.
  2. Camille and Reilly did enjoy some honey for the night of Yom Teru'ah—today, i"y"Y, they will each get an apple piece and honey (Don't tell "Mom-Mom"!)
  3. Yom Teru'ah has sadly been quiet and not as much of a yom l'simcha for Reilly or Cam, or for anybody else—life has been rough for a while.
Reilly and "Momma" wish everyone a Teru'ah Tovah, by the way.

Tu B'Av & All Different Kinds Of Love, Including Puppy Love

In short, Tu B'Av is the Rabbinic Valentine's Day, which comes after Tisha B'Av (the fast of the fifth month, after Tzom HaChodesh Tammuz—not, as it formerly was, for the "god" [dybuk] Tammuz), and before Yom Kippur and Asara b'Tevet). The rabbis decided that after two months with fasts and before Yom Kippur, a yom l'simcha was needed—including for, I suppose, pets and their feeling-much-better-after-breaking-the-fast owners—of course, making pets fast would be wrong.

As on Valentine's Day, the theme on Tu B'Av is ahavah (love)—of which there are different kinds, with three words for the main kinds in Biblical Hebrew, including "ahavah". Puppies—including adult puppies (dogs) like Reilly and Camille—show ahavah, including for each other and for their masters—and masters' families!

Reilly and Camille, yesh lahen ahavah l'echad achar—after all, e.g., to clean out each other's ears takes ahavah rabah v'g'dolah.

So does playing as roughly as Reilly and Camille do!

So does napping together and (and as demonstrated with close ups included) inadvertently forming a heart shape and sleeping side by side!

Belated Valentine's/Singles Awareness Day Entry (Which I Needed To Write)

A two-time (not "two-timing"!) ex girlfriend, with each ex having had the police called on him for harassment, I had a single-again woman's Valentine's Day that could not have been lonelier for me; and being a two-time-single-again woman wasn't the only reason. Other reasons concern being a 26-year-old woman and waiting-for-marriage virgin whom has Cerebral Palsy, mental illnesses, no job, and two failed relationships on which she tried to workand one was from August 4, 2004 to about May 19, 2005, and the other was for six days in 2013.

Meanwhile, I thought about, saw, and heard how many of my loved ones and friendsincluding able, neurotypical, and employed oneshad a happy Valentine's Day or Singles Awareness Day, all while I'm a single-again pariah and wondering why I can't have a Cinderella-type story while more-fortunate ones have their happinessestalk about one having his or her
cake and also eating it!

Some other loved ones and friends, at the same time, had their own Cinderella- or Frog Prince-type stories, all while I fared worse than even Gatsbywhom at least had guests at parties, requited (even though illicitly-requited) love for a while, and even five people at his funeral. Even a fictional character fared better than me, and he could've had his lover had she had the courage to leave her long-time-philandering husband for a man whom loved her!

All I have to show is two broken relationships, unrequited and unrequitable loves over the years (including within the past few years), zero offers to set me up with someone, and failed, fruitless, and little- and non-supported attempts to find someone and/or have someone cross my path. Happy Valentine's and Singles Awareness Day to me, indeed :-/ —or in all seriousness, to those whom had and have what kind of happinesses I could not have this year or for the other past 10 years.

The Disgustingness of Legalism

I'm embarrassed that many here are forgetting Genesis 50:20, 1 Samuel 16:7, Acts 15, Romans 14, and Colossians 2:13-17, among other verses. First of all, Yeshua made a New Covenant and nailed the 613 mitzvot to the Cross (though some remain--see Acts 15, e.g.). Secondly, a holiday that Yeshua celebrated, namely Hanukkah, comes from a pagan tradition. Thirdly, your Yahushua or Yahushishi or whoever you worship in the place of Yeshua is not the Mashiach. "I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,  which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ." (Galatians 1:6-7) Yeshua is clearly useless to you, since you pursue your own righteousness through Torah. "I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”" (Galatians 2:21) Only non-believing Jews are still under the Old Covenant. "For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."

By the way, Sha'ul once persecuted Yeshua. Think about that if and when you persecute Sha'ul and say that Sha'ul (who became Paul) was not following Yeshua. "But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ." (Galatians 1:11-12). You are doing to both Sha'ul and ultimately Yeshua what Sha'ul once did to Yeshua.

Object as you will, but then why does Yirimiyahu prophesy the following? "“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,[a] says the Lord. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”"

You've made Yeshua quite useless, then; and I don't go after the majority to do evil. Also, many didn't believe that Yeshua was and is Mashiach.

Does Messianic Judaism Forbid The Celebrations Of Christmas and Easter?

Nope. See Romans 14 and Colossians 2:13-17, among other verses. Also, I'm going to (G-d willing) expound more on this in light of Exodus 23-34--that is, the "tenor" of the Old Covenant, and thus the New Covenant--later.

Why Hanukkah?

"Hanukkah" literally means "dedication". In the Books of Maccabees (which refers to the Kohenic dynasty of the Maccabees), the story of how the Maccabee Family took the Temple back from the Syrians and Greeks who had desecrated it is told. Originally meant to belatedly celebrate Sukkot, Hanukkah became the remembrance and celebration of the retaking of the Temple.
The Pharisees set up the traditions for how Hanukkah is to be celebrated. They relate that one of the Maccabees could not find enough oil for the menorah to be lit continually, but only for a night. The oil instead let the menorah be lit for eight days, according to those same Pharisees.
Jesus celebrated Hanukkah. So, Hanukkah as a historic event really did happen, but the Books of Maccabees are not part of Tanakh.

Is "Rosh HaShanah" Really Rosh HaShanah?

As Nehemiah Gordon explains on his website, today is actually Ha'Erev Teru'ah, not Rosh HaShanah. Firstly, Aviv (Nisan) begins HaShanah Chadashah whereas the "rabbis" (according to Hebrew4Christians) inverted "B'reshit" to mean "B'Chodesh l'Tishri" and make HaShanah Chadashah seem to begin in Tishri. Secondly, HaChodesh L'Tishri is to be sighted on the night of September 17, 2012 whereas the Chodesh L'Elul was cited August 19, 2012--viz., the day is presently Ha'Erev Teru'ah 5772, not Rosh HaShanah 5773.

Nonetheless, as I shared on Facebook:

In other words, today's actually 'Erev Teru'ah and tomorrow is Yom Teru'ah 5772 (if Nehemia Gordon cites HaChodesh l'Tishri). Nonetheless, L'Shanah Tovah to those who want to get a head start on Yom Teru'ah or what I call "Rosh-HaShanah l'Kesef"--viz. the Fiscal New Year--5773.

I should have said "sighted", but a sighting cannot be confirmed without a citing. Anyway, L'Erev Teru'ah v'Erev HaShanah L'Kesef Tovah--and for those who are getting a head start, L'Shanah (L'Kesef) Tovah.

Another Blog Shabbat Yesterday...

It was semi unintentional (I ran out of time.). Nonetheless, I must be (so to speak) racking up Shabbatot this week (Sunday and Wednesday) for some reason--maybe something big in which I can't take Blog Shabbatot must be about to happen. Incidentally, Chodesh Elul is supposed to happen on the 19th (and rekeeping track of the date, it is the 26 of Av, 27th tonight); so that could have something to do with it--though the summer's been quite eventful!

Happy Israeli Independence Day

Today is Iyar 5, 5772. HaChodesh L'Iyar was sighted on April 22 at 7:24, according to Nehemiah Gordon. So, the P'rushim were, once again, a little off in celebrating Yom Ha'Atzma'ut-- they celebrated Yom Ha'Atzma'ut early. But to be fair, they at least celebrated the Day of Independence for Israel.

Repost: When Was Yeshua Crucified? According To HebCal.com....

April 1, 33 CE or AD (or Nisan-Aviv 14, 3793):

APRIL 0033

SundayMondayTuesdayWednesdayThursdayFridaySaturday

1
14th of Nisan, 3793
Ta'anit Bechorot
Erev Pesach
2
15th of Nisan, 3793
Pesach I

Discussed previously:

"31 Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. 35 And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. 36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.”[f] 37 And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”[g]
"38 After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus. 39 And Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds. 40 Then they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in strips of linen with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury. 41 Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.42 So there they laid Jesus, because of the Jews’ Preparation Day, for the tomb was nearby."

Thus, Hebrew4Christians is incorrect: Yeshua was considered as though dead on Thursday night (arrested, etc.) and risen on Sunday morning. So, 1/2 (Thursday night (14 Aviv)) + 1 (all day Friday (14-15 Aviv)) + 1 (all day Saturday (15-16 Aviv)) + 1/2 (Sunday morning (16 Aviv)):

Mark 14:58 KJV

We heard him say , I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
