Part Three

Meanwhile, we have our eyes on and prayers for Reilly--in fact, my eyes are on and prayers are for Reilly as I write this, and with my palms covered in anointing oil which I used to pray over Reilly and beseech Yehovah in regard to her--and pray for Reilly with me, that Yehovah would bless her and protect her and/or heal from Giardia. Yehovah willing, we'll find out if she has Giardia at her next appointment. By the way, continue to pray for Camille.

Part Two

...prayers, our and Mom's insistence on calling multiple Banfields, and my leveraging to get Camille an emergency appointment at our local Banfield worked--and I did not call to cancel when Camille seemed better. Had I called to cancel the appointment, we would have fatally mistaken Giardia for dehydration--and a just-in-case follow-up appointment affected caught-in-time, early-Stage-One Giardia to not turn into a terminal gastrointestinal infection that would've eventually taken a now-five-pound runt of her litter from us--and we loved (and love) the scrappy, belying-her-age-with-her-size, match-of-Reilly Camille too much to lose her due to any preventable occurence, such as Giardia. Also, Reilly would not be able to bear losing her closer-than-a-sister friend, whom is also Reilly's adoptive cousin and biological twice-removed cousin--since she is my sister's "dogter" and the daughter
of Apple's grandnice Tootsie...

Short Account Part One: Camille and Giardia

Needless to say, "the Giardia" is not an airport ("LaGuardia") or a pizza ("Digiorno")--as one sees per the earlier picture, the Giardia in question is one of many disease vectors. Upon diagnosis reception and research discovering, Michelle and I found out that Camille's lack of usual appetite, energy, digestive-normalcy, and comfort levels resulted from a parasite known as "Giardia". Therefore, my taking of Camille's pale-face picture, people's

A Hypocrisy Which I Don't Understand

How can certain loved ones of mine be against the decision of "Charlie Hebdo" to cease their portrayals of Muhammad, and how can they state that "Charlie Hebdo" is "caving in" to the Islamists? After all, they are attempting to ensure that I will not speak out against certain
other Anti Semites and racists.

My problem, then, is not with my loved ones' disagreement with the magazine: my problem is that they are doing to me exactly what they oppose that "Charlie Hebdo"'s editors are doing to themselves. How can they complain about, for example, the following re the Islamists when they complain about me fighting against particular groups whom support groups like "Charlie"'s enemies?

“We have drawn Muhammad to defend the principle that one can draw whatever they want. It is a bit strange though: we are expected to exercise a freedom of expression that no one dares to.”
I'm at a loss for words when they support "Je suis Charlie" at the same time that they tell me "Don't provoke crazies" and "Don't stir up the hornets' nest." While I'm not "Charlie", I'm certainly:

  1. Nicole
  2. Juive (i.e., Je suis Juive; or "אני יהודית.")
  3. Intent on not caving in to the Anti Semites
Meanwhile, God willing, I'll (so to speak) come back up from the underground eventually.

PS: Advice for the day, as I told a loved one: Do more than admitting that you need to work yourself. Start trying to do it. Even no fruit with worthy effort is better than even good fruit with no effort--after all, Paul had to plant and Apollos had to water, whether God grew or left ungrown--and no fruit with worthy effort is certainly better than bad fruit with even good effort.

Why I've Been Unable to Blog &c.. This Week

I apologize for not blogging much this week--and even having to delete three blog entries. Because of, e.g., family tension (and, e.g., Depression flareups as a result), busyness with Reilly and Camile, and a lack of time and space, I've just been unable to write--a case of "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak" and "what I want to do, I don't do; and what I don't want to do, I do"--I'd love to, e.g., not feel tired, depressed, held back, and demotivated to write. I want to have energy, strength, freedom (e.g., time and space), and motivation to blog daily--and do other things--like I used to do. By the way, as usual and once again, I need prayers on my behalf--sorry to be a pain and bother.

As I Wrote For An Update on IMDB, and Per the AP On Twitter

Married to 34-year-old Alexis Roderick at the age of 66 years, he will have been married for the fourth time and a father to a second child. His expectant girlfriend and he were wed by [[Andrew Cuomo at the groomal manor on Independence Day 2015 in Long Island, New York-and the intimately-sized group of loved ones at the now-newlyweds' yearly Independence Day soirée (whom included to-be-older sister Alexa Ray Joel) were unexpectedly guests at the wedding of the soirée's host and his girlfriend of six years.

Humorously enough, the groom was married on the Fourth for the fourth time in a not-initially-forthright way.

Mazel tov to Mr. and Mrs. Billy Joel, and may the fourth time be a charm (at least for the sake of the child, if nothing else).

"Hark; the Herald Angels Sing" Reclaimed From Charles Wesley

This was written for a couple of reasons:

  1. The original lyrics are full of heresy and needed to be corrected. For example, Charles Wesley and the subsequent adapters of Wesley's lyrics claimed that Jesus was "heaven born" and "late in time". According to Tanakh (תנ''כח or תנ''כה for Messianics), however, Jesus was the "Only Begotten Son" and "born of a woman" whom was to be a virgin.
  2. I've been thinking about this since Christmas in December. It is now Christmastime in July.
  3. Felix Mendelssohn was a Jewish believer. Ironically, he "felt unsuited to sacred music" the melody that we use today! Thus, stripping the Jewish context of "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!" is inappropriate!

Hark; the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the King of Kings!"
Unto us is born a Child
Unto to God, we're reconciled!

Joyful, all ye nations rise!
Join the triumph in the skies!

With angelic hosts, proclaim:
"Christ is born in Bethlehem!"
Hark; the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the King of Kings!"

Bless the virgin-born Prince of Peace!
Bless the Sun of Righteousness!
Light to those in darkness He brings—
Ris'n with healing in His wings!

The King of Kings departs His throne
To live and die like His own

And to raise the sons of man
Given to Him, the I AM!
Hark; the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the King of Kings!"

Christ by His elect adored
Christ the Everlasting Lord
As promised, behold He's here!
Unto us, our God draws near!
The Son Whom's Begotten, not made
With the wicked, He made his grave

And from the grave, He arose
And gave new life to the dry bones
Hark; the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the King of Kings!"

I Knew That The World Views Christianity, Especially Jewish Christianity, As Criminal

With all due respect to Gretchen Carlson, I had to cringe at the headline when I saw it (Skimming the article made me cringe more.). If she didn't know that the world considers Christianity to be criminal, I don't know what Bible she's reading. The Bible that I've read unequivocally states that the world will hate Christians, especially Jewish Christians. e.g.:

"9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."

"16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. 18 You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; 20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you."

(From Matthew 24 and 10, New King James Version, respectively)

Now, are there exceptions among those of the world? Yes:

" I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person."

(From 1 Corinthians 5)

Gamali'el was an exception; and despite that a myth that he became a Jewish Christian persists, he was tolerant of Jewish Christians (Sadly, the myth comes from a misinterpretation of his tolerance.):

"33 When they heard this, they were furious and plotted to kill them. 34 Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. 35 And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. 36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. 37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. 38 And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; 39 but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”"

(From Acts 5)

By the way, one of the blessings of finding about my Jewish heritage is that I've had my eyes open to just how much the world really does hate Christianity, and that hate stems back to when Pilate maliciously blamed the murder of Jesus on Jews—read the Jewish Virtual Library article on Pontius Pilate to see what Pontius Pilate's talk about Jesus being innocent really meant, and you will find that Pilate was sarcastic and Anti Semitic. What should have been obvious to me and others a long time ago, by the way, is that Pilate would not have crucified a man whom he really believed to be innocent. Besides, his reaction after "Ein lanu melekh aval Qeisar [We have no king but Caesar]" was a way of saying, "Oh, ****. I can't get them riled up enough. Besides, they're reminding me that Caesar is my boss. ****; I wanted to cause a riot and make those Jews look bad, though (****) they outsmarted me."^

Remember, too, that we did not know. We thought that Jesus fit Deuteronomy 13, and Paul told Timothy as much for his part in his first letter to him:

"And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, 13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus."

(From 1 Timothy 1)

My point being, Christianity has been criminal since the time that Pilate scapegoated Jews—and really, ever since Anti Semitism has existed.

^Incidentally, "murder" is a mistranslation in Acts 5:30 in the New King James Version

My Family History Information For Those Whom Also Have Mishpacha In Poland

There are some photos in a Word document in which I first saved this.

(I should note that when I looked for information on, e.g., FamilySearch, I also kept in mind whether the people in question looked like family members. Of course, I kept locations in mind.). Some come from family members and others come from sources such as FamilySearch.
  1. Lipsk (Suwalki Gubernia; today Podlaskie).
  2. Krasnopol and surrounding towns (e.g., Krasne nad Krasnopol)
  3. Suwalki

  9. Nowy Targ and surrounding towns (e.g., Jablonka, Kacwin)
  10. Lapsze Nizne
  11. Bakalarzewo and surrounding towns
  12. Warszawa
Families (Some branches of whom later became Anusim during pogroms, etc.):

  1. Andrulewicz (originally Andrulevic[i]us of Stakliskes. Kohanim)*
  2. Danilowicz (originally "Danilovich" of Dunilavicy, Belarus. Somehow connected to the Chavusy Daniloviches.)*
  3. Kruszynski/Krusinski*
  4. Wierzbinski*
  5. Margevich (in Lithuania in 1818 for Census), Margiewicz, Morgoviciute*

  9. Gajdosz ^
  10. Uszinsky/Ushinsky^
  11. Foczko/Focko^^^
  • * The paternal grandmother of my father's paternal grandfather was "Katarzyna" Danilowiczowna Czerniecka, having become an Anusit in February 1843. She was born in October 1838 to Wojciech (likely originally "Avraham") and Marianna/Maryanna (likely originally "Mariam Hanah") Kruszynska (or Krusinska) Danilowicz (She and her parents were deliberately ambiguous on her baptism and marriage records). She married "Antoni" Czerniecki (a son of "Pawel" and "Dominika" Wierzbinska Czerniecki) in Mackowa Ruda in 1860 and gave her birthdate as 1843 there, and had to swear that she did not sign a "prenuptial agreement" (viz. ketubah). Both were born in Krasne nad Krasnopol. I know of no t'vilah or t'vilah l'Anusim of "Antoni" or his parents, or "Katrarzyna"'s parents.
  • *Julian Czerniecki was the paternal grandfather of my paternal grandfather. His parents had, from what I understand, become ba'alim teshuvah when they moved to Lipsk. He married Aleksandria Alicja Andrulewiczowna (b. June 26, 1882) of Bosse, whose parents were an Andrulevicus and a Morgoviciute from Stakliskes prior to the death of Shmuil Morgovich (d. April 4, 1882 of tuberculosis).
  • **The Trudnyaks claim to have been originally from Kacwin. They were from Jablonka nad Nowy Targ, and there were Trudnyakovs in Odesa, Ukraine who died in the Shoah. My branch ended up as Anusim in Vel'ka Frankova, Slovakia and Budapeszt, Hungary. The paternal grandmother of my father was Mary Trudnak Czarnecki, a daughter of Mihaly "Michael Trudn[i]ak" Trudnyak (the son of Mihaly and Maria Nagyova Trudnyak. The Nagys had been Anusim of Budapeszt and Obudai.) and Anna Amalia Munkova "Anna Monka" Trudnyak (who was named after a daughter of Samuel and Rosalia Korschova Munka. The daughter had a t'vilah l'Anusit and died shortly thereafter.
  • Foczko/Focko: My branch became Anusim and left Radom, Warszawa, and Lodz for Upper Hungary (Slovakia) in the 1770s.
  • Gajdosz (Hom[m]a and Gajdosz) and Uszinsky: My branches ended up in what are now Gaboltov and Secovce, Slovakia. For the Uszinskys, Anna Jas[z]ova (of Jan and Eva Polin/Palin Uszinsky) married Jan Haszlinsky (d. unknown) then Uszinsky (transliterated "Ushinsky"). Mihal "Michael Gaydos[h]" Gajdosz and Katarina "Katherine Ushinsky" Uszinskyova Gajdosz became Anusim as adults. Their son Michael was the maternal grandfather of my father, and married Marysia "Mary" Elizabeth Rusnak (the daughter of Anusim Andras "Andrew Rusnak" and Juliana Foczkova "Julia Fosko" Rusznak).

The Night Owl: aka, An Explanation Of My Writing and Commentating-Analyzing Processes

I write, and I do commentary and analysis—of that fact, I've made no secret. I'm also a night owl, and my being a night owl explains—and, in turn, is explained by—my writing, commentating, and analyzing. On that point:

"I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, they shall never hold their peace day nor night: 'Ye that are the LORD'S remembrancers, take ye no rest, And give Him no rest, till He establish, and till He make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.'"
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying: 'Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them: When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man from among them, and set him for their watchman; if, when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the horn, and warn the people; then whosoever heareth the sound of the horn, and taketh not warning, if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head; he heard the sound of the horn, and took not warning, his blood shall be upon him; whereas if he had taken warning, he would have delivered his soul. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the horn, and the people be not warned, and the sword do come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
So thou, son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore, when thou shalt hear the word at My mouth, warn them from Me. When I say unto the wicked: O wicked man, thou shalt surely die, and thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thy hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he turn not from his way; he shall die in his iniquity, but thou hast delivered thy soul.

I suppose that I'm one of those night watch(wo)men:

The burden of Dumah. One calleth unto me out of Seir: 'Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?' The watchman said: 'The morning cometh, and also the night--if ye will inquire, inquire ye; return, come.'

Someone has to know what's going on during the night. Besides, being single and unable to get out much, I have to have some way to contribute somehow to the world and stay in the loop—if I'm not going to help make history and try to affect the world for the better, I might as well stay out of the course of history altogether.

Also, I can hopefully use my own histories—personal, familial, and other histories—to help others discover and/or understand their own histories, and thus help make history and affect the world for the better—it's a cycle in some respects, really.

The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he ariseth. The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it turneth about continually in its circuit, and the wind returneth again to its circuits. All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full; unto the place whither the rivers go, thither they go again. All things toil to weariness; man cannot utter it, the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.

An Ethnocidal-Religiocidal 21-Year-Old & Nine Innocents: Why?

I am trying to understand how a man who's my age could be so hard-hearted and evil. What was his motive? Infamy? "Revenge" for the racism in this country of late--how does racist violence against innocents rectify any wrongs? Evil for evil?--maybe he had a grudge and racistly scapegoated? Trying to be cool and impress his fellow ex cons? Racism and crime are never cool. Suicide by cop and murder? Why didn't he take just himself in any case? Either way, he needs the death penalty--preferably by firing squad.

My Dad's Paternal Family As a Mix of Anusim and B'nei Anusim, &c. (aka, A Summary For Those Whom Did Not Already Know)

My own family is a mix of Anusim and B'nei Anusim. Some of us are, admittedly, Jewish Christians, and we have become more sensitive to the way that we talk about our faith, etc.—at least I have, since my finding out about my heritage gave me some insight into where to draw lines, explained quite a bit of why, e.g., my family's Christmases and Easter were almost entirely secular in nature, and religious only in a going-through-the-motions way; &c.—c.q., trust me when I say that "The Night Before Christmas" was way more emphasized than the New Testament account of Jesus (if that was even talked about at all except for the going-through-the-motions wafer ceremony at dinner. As I found out later, the Catholic stuff was "tradition" and not at all out of any religious belief.).

Some of us, though, are in denial about our heritage . My dad, who'd even been somewhat open to (if he didn't already about our heritage) accepting (or begrudgingly admitting) our heritage (as his dad implicitly did in his final days after years of denial), eventually became hostile to the fact that he we are Jewish. He called it "Jewish crap", too .

As for my paternal granddad's paternal grandmother, e.g., she was furious when (as I heard and came to understand) my great-granddad married my great-grandmother, who was a very-committed Jewish Catholic and bat-Anusim. She did not believe in marriage for love, since she came from a family where shidduch was the minhag; and she was unthrilled that her son was marrying a Jesus-believing Jew. After all, she didn't become an Anusit during the pogroms, endure being cut off from her family, and have to live as an Anusit in the United States for her son to marry a, in her eyes, meshumadah.
Great-Granddad and Dad at Christmas
The Jesus picture was more of Great-Grandma's idea, and the secular aspects in every holiday were way more emphasized. BTW, Dad (left) eventually became one who'd be Reform Jewish were he honest with and for himself.
The Jack Czarnecki Family
As with above, the Jesus picture was more of Great-Grandma's idea; and the secular aspects in every holiday were way more emphasized. BTW, I found out later that my granddad (left) used to fall asleep in the back of the church from my aunt Mary (on my great-grandmother's lap. She was also the one who was told to choose between church and Christmas dinner during Christmas because "It's tradition" or something like that. "Tradition" was definitely the word that used, though. BTW, my aunt Mary was named for her grandmothers [the paternal one of whom was not the first daughter of her parents, I should note], not the mother of Jesus; and we have Sephardic heritage.)

Afghan Buddhas & China, Jerusalem & the SCOTUS, &c.

In the same way that people are outraged over China's handling of Afghanistan's ancient Buddha statues and other Buddhist architecture, people would be more outraged about Jerusalem being stepped on by the SCOTUS and other (unintentional and intentional) Anti Semites if the Government of Israel held to the "Declaration of Establishment".

In other words, the SCOTUS and others, instead of doing what is right, are saying to Netanyahu and Agudat Yisra'el, "Why should we care about Jerusalem when you all are stepping on it, anyway? After all, you arrest an American oleh for eating a ham sandwich!"

By the way, I told you that Netanyahu and Agudat Yisra'el were trying to sell Israel to the "Palestinians"—you don't for example, propose an "establishment of a confederate Israeli-Palestinian state encompassing the territory of Israel, as well as the West Bank and the Gaza Strip" if you do not want a "Palestinian" state.

Cami's First Full Day Home

Having Cami home has been a series of ups and downs, and adjustments. The ups include Cami's learning of commands such as "Sit", Cami's and Reilly's development of a rapport, and loved ones' adulation of her—including the vet's good impression of her. The downs, on the other hand, include
Reilly's jealousy, Mom's failure to understand that Reilly was fine in picking up Cami by her scruff, and Cami's having accidents (including tonight, which is why she is currently on my lap—she awaits "Mimi" to change her crate towel).

At present, the 2.67-pound runt of her litter is on my lap—and hopefully staying there instead of falling off of my lap or climbing up onto the table, and hopefully not having an accident on my lap (Meanwhile, she just went back into "Mimi"'s arms; since she was whimpering and I decided to take all precautions to avoid my lap becoming her temporary potty pad.).

The brats already have a wonderful rapport and Cami even knows some commands &

Short Story: Ditched

Author's note: I wrote this based on quite a few things, including how I just felt when I thought that I was the only person who was downstairs and, thus, unable to get Reilly up to my room for the night.

That was it...there it was...undeniably in front of her...facing her as much as she was facing—or at least having to face—it: the fact that she was ditched—abandoned—and now entirely alone—and helpless.

"...if you were the last person on Earth"—well, she was (or at least she felt like) the last person on Earth. The ridiculousness of that phrase finally revealed itself to her.

"Nobody would help you if you were the last person on Earth because nobody else would be on Earth!" she thought to herself. "Shouldn't the phrase be '...the only other person on Earth', then?" Then again, her case fit the "last person on Earth" type of situation—she couldn't help herself now, and she couldn't help herself if she were the last person on Earth.

"Then why should I even be on Earth?" she thought. Then again, she couldn't take her own life if she couldn't help herself for her own life; could she? Nonetheless, she was alone—she didn't even have any angels watching over her (let alone the Angel of the LORD tending to her —Elijah had Him to encourage him to at least eat and drink).

If anything did  happen to her —G-d forbid —she'd at least write this epitaph down as part of her last will and testament for anyone whom would show up and find her. "At least throw me in a ditch if you must ditch me in my death as many ditched me in my life."

As she wrote her epitaph down, she realized that her sardonic humor was keeping her alive. "'Misery loves company'", she mused, "and 'two are better than one.'"

Short Biography Pfc. Bernard "Bernie" Stanley Czarnecki, U.S. Army 111th Infantry Division Medical Corps (WW2, DOW)

(As originally written for and sent to family friends)

Born in Sugar Notch, Pennsylvania on March 15, 1920, Bernard Stanley Czerniecki was the youngest son of Ashkenazi Crypto-Jews Julian and Alexandria Andrulewicz Czerniecki. Entering the United States Armed Forces shortly before he turned 21 years old, Bernard (now Bernard "Bernie" Stanley Czarnecki) served in the 111th Infantry Division Medical Corps of the United States Army for exactly five years—from December 12, 1940 to December 12, 1945. Bernie enlisted shortly before his brothers Edward ("Ed")—who enlisted on January 21, 1943—and Joseph ("Susi")—who enlisted on February 17, 1941—did (Incidentally, Bernie either re-enlisted on the same day as Susi enlisted or did not have his original enlistment recorded until the day that Susi registered.).
Having received a shrapnel-effected wound in combat, Bernie underwent surgery to remove the shrapnel. Given that the surgery was botched, Bernie was discharged from the Army at the Newton D. Baker General Hospital in Martinsburg, West Virginia. From Baker Hospital, he moved to the Veterans' Affairs Housing and Hospital complex in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Living at the VA Housing and Hospital complex in Lebanon for the rest of his life, he succumbed to his received-in-combat injuries on July 16, 1963 in the VA Hospital in Lebanon.

He died of Schizophrenia and a Coronary Occlusion as a result of his battle wars at 6:30 AM EST in the VA Hospital on that July 16th. Having an autopsy performed on him by Dr. A.H. Heisey of Quentin, Pennsylvania, he was not received by his family and the George Strish Funeral Home in Ashley, Pennsylvania until July 20th. Once he was received, he was buried in Holy Family Cemetery in Sugar Notch.

Pfc. Bernard "Bernie" Stanley Czarnecki, then, was:
  1. One of the Nazis' post-war victims of the Holocaust. Since Bernie came from a Crypto-Jewish family, he—along with his brothers Ed and Susi, along with his other family members—was a target of the Nazis solely on account of his Jewish heritage.
  2. An unrecognized Jewish-American soldier of World War Two. Whether he even received a Purple Heart is unknown, and he has nobody who the Department of Veterans' Affairs considers to be a next-of-kin family member who may claim.
  3. A Jew who had to go through the additional agony of having an autopsy performed on him—since Jewish tradition forbids autopsies except for in cases when the law and/or extenuating circumstances require that an autopsy is to be performed on the Jewish decedent in question.*
*All information comes from documents that were found on Ancestry.com, Bernie's nephew Anthony "Tony" John Czarnecki, Jr. (1946-2014) and other family sources, and prior knowledge.

יהוה As My Witness, I Am Telling This True Story

When I was outside and Reilly saw the neighbors' dog Leo (to whom she takes a particular affinity), she bolted out of her coat (the buckle of which she had chewed and made loose) and to the fence. She interacted with and chased Leo, who was the one who came to the fence in the first place (and his human mother had to pick him up to get him back over to his house—and imagine picking up an about-two-years-old Border Collie mix who could bolt over to see Reilly like that! Yes; I was perhaps a bit of a jerk for recording it, too, admittedly—running over would have made the situation worse, though. Besides, I can't run! Also, staying and recording the video does give me: firstly, a memory to share with others; and secondly, corroborating evidence that I did nothing wrong.).

I did eventually coax Reilly into the house with a promise of peanut butter. Incidentally, she did get some exercise on this rainy day and while "Mom-Mom" and the UMBC alumna known as "Auntie Michelle" were at Michelle's commencement ceremony and on a visit to Reilly's "Great Mom-Mom".

The Graduate's Walk: A Short Story

She elegantly walked down the staircase and into the lobby of the hotel as she prepared to leave for the stadium. Why did her going to a stadium involve poise, decorum, and care in the way that she moved on her feet? A stadium! Why?

"You're participating in your commencement ceremony—that's why! You could be participating in your commencement ceremony at the local Walmart® and staying at a half-star motel beforehand; and I'd still expect the same amount of decorum from you"—so her mother admonished her. She grumbled, although she did know that a commencement ceremony was not a casual event and daily motion—her mother, thus, had a point about her carrying herself in a formal manner for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of academic achievement

She walked to the stadium with scholarly class, then —and she even made the Color Guard at the typical Ravens games look as if they were futzing-around schlubs whom were playing "Capture the Flag" or "Flag Football". Then there she stood —at the Ravens Stadium she stood —and she was prepared to walk across the set-up-and-take-down stage platform to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Paralegal Certificate....

As she took the documentations of her college completion and certification training in her hand, she walked out of the Ravens Stadium with the formality of a distinguished college graduate and a summa-cum-laude-endowed political scientist and paralegal.
