As Originally Written On Twitter & Modified For Blogger: A Simple Republican Response To the State Of The Union

Those of us who are Republicans do not tolerate or support RINO *****'s willful and deliberate attempts to destroy the GOP, the United States, and republican parties in other countries. We also do not tolerate or support *****'s attacks on the Democrats, from whom he is much further on the Left. We additionally do not tolerate or support a repeat of history in which Neo Nazis and Neo Stalinists can bring about the kind of lawlessness and disorder that ***** seeks to bring.

We therefore support Special Counselor Robert Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, both of whom (by the way) are GOP members whom seek to bring about what GOP Abraham Lincoln discussed in his address at Gettysburg: "that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

By standing with other Republicans (including Special Counselor Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein), the Democrats whom are willing to work with the GOP, and other American people whom want "one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all" (as we pledge to want when we "pledge allegiance to the flag...and to the republic for which it stands"), we can be "a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal." 

The United States can have a revival that does not include *****'s idea of what to "make American great again" is. 

As Martin Luther King, Jr. stated, "[W]hen we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!""

I Knew That The World Views Christianity, Especially Jewish Christianity, As Criminal

With all due respect to Gretchen Carlson​, I had to cringe at the headline when I saw it (Skimming the article made me cringe more.). If she didn't know that the world considers Christianity to be criminal, I don't know what Bible she's reading. The Bible that I've read unequivocally states that the world will hate Christians, especially Jewish Christians. e.g.:

"9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."

"16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. 18 You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; 20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you."

Now, are there exceptions among those of the world? Yes:

" I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person."

Gamali'el was an exception; and despite that a myth that he became a Jewish Christian persists, he was tolerant of Jewish Christians (Sadly, the myth comes from a misinterpretation of his tolerance.):

"33 When they heard this, they were furious and plotted to kill them. 34 Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. 35 And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. 36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. 37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. 38 And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; 39 but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”"

By the way, one of the blessings of finding about my Jewish heritage is that I've had my eyes open to just how much the world really does hate Christianity, and that hate stems back to when Pilate maliciously blamed the murder of Jesus on Jews—read the Jewish Virtual Library​ article on Pontius Pilate to see what Pontius Pilate's talk about Jesus being innocent really meant, and you will find that Pilate was sarcastic and Anti Semitic. What should have been obvious to me and others a long time ago, by the way, is that Pilate would not have crucified a man whom he really believed to be innocent. Besides, his reaction after "Ein lanu melekh aval Qeisar [We have no king but Caesar]" was a way of saying, "Oh, ****. I can't get them riled up enough. Besides, they're reminding me that Caesar is my boss. ****; I wanted to cause a riot and make those Jews look bad, though (****) they outsmarted me."^

Remember, too, that we did not know. We thought that Jesus fit Deuteronomy 13, and Paul told Timothy as much for his part in his first letter to him:

"And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, 13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus."

My point being, Christianity has been criminal since the time that Pilate scapegoated Jews—and really, ever since Anti Semitism has existed.

^Incidentally, "murder" is a mistranslation in Acts 5:30 in the New King James Version. 

My Own Response To the SOTU Address of 2015

"Mr. President, with all due respect, I must sadly sum up your address as the following: promises with catches, at-maximum-half truths, and simply outright lies. I should also remind you that the Constitution states, 'He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union'. As I read that statement, I do not find it to mean, 'He shall at an annual interval give to the American people and his compatriots in the American government a self reaffirmation of his worldview and his Executive governance in light of the worldview.'"

"Honoring Our Fathers"

Conversely, the dads need to be responsible dads in the first place. Think about Stuart Dauermann's comment to Jews for Jesus' David Brickner regarding the exploitative "That Jew Died For You" video. In this case, we could take "That Jew Died For You" for especially fathers who abuse (e.g., commit violence against and/or neglect) to their children and/or their childrens' mothers in the name of God and "well-deserved backlash...and...comments that are piling up" for "a pop culture that constantly disrespects and mocks fathers."

"You will discover that your message is not getting across, but that people are repelled, disgusted, and enraged. Paul reminds us that it is no compliment when “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.” [Romans 2:24]"

In the same way that Anti-Semitic gentiles and Anti-Messianic Jews eagerly use "That Jew Died For You" to turn Jews away from Jesus, so the world eagerly bashes the role of fatherhood because of especially so-called "Judeo-Christian", "red-blooded God-and-country" heads of households who are more than willing to (for example, and quite classically) twist verses such as Ephesians 5:22 and 6:1-3 (the latter of which got twisted on me constantly by my self-hating and abusive dad—who at least, by the way to his credit, would find "That Jew For You" highly unacceptable. After all, keep in mind that this the guy who deliberately drew a swastika just to throw it into his lit fireplace when I was having an OCD flareup one time.). 

PS: Stephanie Metz Doesn't Understand Abuse, And...

I like everything that she said but for the following:

"There was a time – not too long ago – when bullying was defined as slamming someone up against a locker and stealing their lunch money. There was a time when kids got called names and got picked on, and they brushed it off and worked through it (ask me how I know this). Now, if Sally calls Susie a bitch (please excuse my language if that offends you), Susie’s whole world crumbles around her, she contemplates suicide, and this society encourages her to feel like her world truly has ended, and she should feel entitled to a world-wide pity party. And Sally – phew! She should be jailed! She should be thrown in juvenile detention for acting like – gasp – a teenage girl acts."

Mrs. Metz, with all due respect, you don't understand real verbal abuse. You don't just "[brush] it off and [work] through it." Susie may be abused at home, and Sally's abuse may be the proverbial straw on the camel's back. Verbal (and emotional, physical, mental/psychological, spiritual and—the only one which I never had to experience as far as I know, thank God—sexual) abuse is no joke, and not something to "[brush] off...and [work] through."

I hope that you don't verbally abuse your own kids, because you and they are in for a hard reality check—and you may be in for a hard reality check at their hands:

1. Verbal abuse leaves intangible, internal scars.
2. Verbal abuse is a form of emotional and mental abuse.
3. Verbal abuse can lead to physical abuse.
4. Verbal abuse can lead the Susies of this world committing suicide—in your words, "ask me how I know this"—and God forbid that you should ever have to ask your kids or find out (My own mom has had to find out, for example, and that's because she's dealing with quite a bit of the fallout of Dad's verbal and other abuse.).
5. Verbal abuse may affect the setting off of psychological and psychiatric conditions (again, in your words, "ask me how I know this").

I am more than willing to challenge your naive (or what I hope is a naive) view on abuse, and God forbid that you have ever abused or are abusing your kids—and if you are abusing your kids, I hope that someone gets involved really quickly in rescuing your kids from you. By the way, you say that you're 29 years of age. I'm 23, and I can tell you that people like you leave me hopeless about our generation. If you really think that parents who know the realities of abuse are included among those who have "taught that [their kids] shouldn't have to ever put up with anything doesn't make their hearts feel like rainbow colored unicorns are running around pooping skittles onto piles of marshmallows", you are out of your mind—either you need serious help or your kids need serious help. Either way, you need help—whether psychiatric help due to delusions or psychological help due to sociopathy.

Is the New Testament Anti Semitic?

This video best explains it, but I in particular want to respond to the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA; by the way, who I decided that I am not following on Twitter because of their endorsement of this article and Prof. Pieter van der Horst). I am disappointed in the JCPA for allowing Prof. van der Horst to decontextualize the New Testament and revise history.

Addressing Prof. van der Horst's first claim:

"The New Testament has several anti-Semitic elements in its chronologically latest documents. The Gospel of John has Jesus call the Jews “sons of the devil.” There is also a case of an anti-Jewish outburst by the Apostle Paul."

Prof. van der Horst cleary missed the verses about Jews worshipping either G-d or devils. For example:

1. Leviticus 17:7
   They shall no more offer their sacrifices to demons, after whom they have played the harlot. This shall be a statute forever for them throughout their generations.”’
2. Deuteronomy 32:17
   They sacrificed to demons, not to God, To gods they did not know, To new gods, new arrivals That your fathers did not fear.
3. Joshua 24:14-15
   ¹⁴ “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! ¹⁵ And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
   
   

   
   

Prof. van der Horst also misses that Paul was not Anti Semitic but frustrated that these particular Jews would not accept that they had the blood of an innocent Man on their hands and that the blood could wash them clean only if they accepted that their Passover was sacrificed (cf. Matthew 27:24-26, Luke 23:33-35, Acts 18:5-8, 1 Corinthians 5:7). By the way--and this is another discussion--, Pilate was a vicious, crowd-riling Anti Semite who knew what he was doing and did not really believe Jesus to be innocent.

Paul indeed even stated:

"I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit,² that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. ³ For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen^[a] according to the flesh, ⁴ who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; ⁵ of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen."

What is Anti Semitic in that? 

In conclusion, Prof. van der Horst and Manfred Gerstenfeld, Prof. van der Horst's interviewer--as well as the rest of the JPCA--would do well to read the New Testament (Hadashah) and the rest of TaNaKH in content.
