#WoofWednesday Preview: Still Working On "Roll Over", Camille In Regards To Treats & "Nasties", Etc..

  1. Camille has essentially confirmed especially two matters: her preferred "roll over" location and her "I want it now!" attitude toward treats before she even sits or lays down, let alone rolls over!
  2. With Camille, it's the "Camille or dentastick" approach as a reversal of "carrot and stick": try to, for example, protect her from getting her dentastick stolen by Reilly, face her wrath when she growls at you like she could snap at and/or bite you at any moment—despite that you're holding the dentastick to keep Reilly from getting it!
  3. Even "Mom-Mom" is not safe from Cam's bad-itude: just minutes ago, Cam got herself into huge trouble for growling at "Mom-Mom" for trying to take "a little piece of tar" from her—and "Auntie Nicole" thought that Camille was growling at her cousin for trying to take a treat!
  4. As for when "Mom-Mom" found some on-sale Halloween costumes while she was shopping for her "granddogters", Camille was having none of that, either—she went right into her crate to hide!—whereas Reilly tolerated the costumes and even, albe begrudgingly, allowed herself to be photographed and videographed in costume!

Halloween 2018 Card From Reilly and Camille

"Auntie Michelle" gave Reilly a very-undeserved dentastick, by the way!

Examples Of How Reilly & Camille Help Keep "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" Going

  1. They get excited and greet her whenever she comes back even just from a walk.
  2. Even when they stare at her only because they want food, they amuse her.
  3. Each of them helps to remind her to appreciate the small things in life, even just when (for instance) Reilly demands belly rubs or Camille tries to lick her feet.
  4. They provide consistency.
  5. Even though she's not the best "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" to them, they help keep her busy; and they teach and reteach her about being kind, caring, patient, loving, and understanding by, for instance, being that way with her.
  6. They of course give her writing fodder 🙂.
  7. They are two of her main reasons for still being on this Earth, especially in the present time.

#FluffyFriday & A Sort-Of #FlashbackFriday: A Pissed-Off Look Isn't For Only Night-Owl "Momma"

PS PS Please bear with the quality. YouTube's taking away of valuable "Enhancement" settings doesn't help.

So, A Little Late In the EST Time Zone. Still...

PS Reilly and Camille would like bosses to treat their employees fairly as well as donate to charities to help feed starving people, puppies, and kitties as well as other starving creatures. PPS Camille went "night-nights" before "Auntie Nicole" could take a picture of her specifically for the card, and she thus did not get a treat.

#ScarySunday: Not Even Reilly And "Mom-Mom" Are Safe From a UTI-Crankified Camille

To make a long story short for now:

  1. Camille's persistent need to "peedy" did turn out to be another UTI ☹.
  2. Since the vet's office was closed, Camille (and "Mom-Mom" and "Mimi") had to spend three hours in an ER for pets (and a significant chunk of those hours was waiting time as well as trying to get a urine sample from Camille.)
  3. She had to have an ultrasound to rule out any other issues—and at least she had only a UTI (as compared to, for example, a kidney stone).
  4. She was loved by all of the medical personal and received a lot of attention from them.
  5. When she came home and Reilly went to greet her as well as try to jealously get attention, she was not having any of it—she growled quite severely at Reilly and pawed her, and Reilly became afraid!
  6. She also growled a little at "Mom-Mom" when "Mom-Mom" went to take her "peedy" instead of having a cold-affected "Mimi" take her, although she conceded and let "Mom-Mom" take her.

A Special Announcement Regarding Reilly And Camille

Yehovah willing, the "bark-mitzvah" celebration will just be a small gathering with friends (with a yet-to-be-planned date and time, and) at which "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" will read the Torah portions from their respective birth weeks for them—and Reilly and Camille will be wearing tallitot and kippot 🙂.

#ThrowbackThursday: Camille Gets "Auntie Nicole" In Trouble For Not Getting "Mom-Mom" Scratched!

Did "Auntie Nicole" nonetheless get to demonstrate how much Camille loves her "num-nums" and keep "Mom-Mom" from getting scratched (not to mention that "Mimi" let her to hold Cam in the first place)? Yes, she did; thank you very much 😏!

#MaltipooMonday & #MemoryMonday: An Example Of A Typical Week At La Casa de Reily Rosalita

PS Quite a few of the dynamics with which Reilly and Camille have to deal are encompassed within this video alone (and the video was a livestream).

An Early Simchat Torah Card From Reilly and Camille

PS:
  1. The passage shown on the Torah scroll is the "Shema", via Mechon Mamre and modified to take out the sidra and parsha indicators as well as the verse numbers.
  2. This is one of the more-elaborate cards. It also uses older pictures, although "older" here is only from September 25th and these pictures make sense in light of "you shall teach them diligently unto your children ["beneikha"], and you shall talk of them when you...lie down and when you rise up."
  3. For there to be a Chag Simchat Torah on the eighth (in the Diaspora among most Rabbinical Jews, ninth) day of Sukkot actually makes sense for multiple reasons, notwithstanding that Karaite and other objections are understandable.

An Early Sukkot 5778 Card From Reilly and Camille

Sukkot begins on the 25th at sundown, and on Reilly's four-and-a-half-year Gregorian birthday (L'Chetzi Yom Huledet Same'ach, Reilly!).

A Belated Birthday Card To the USAF

Happy Belated 71st Birthday to the Air Force!
PS Excuse "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" for not  perfectly remembering the Air Force motto.

An Early Yom Kippur Card From Reilly and Camille

PS Since the sun has not set west of the EST Time Zone and some celebrate Shabbat until three stars appear in the sky, the card was technically not late 🙂.

Every Day Seems To Be Yom Teru'ah For Reilly 😒😏....

So, today is no different—expect for that today is Yom Teru'ah, and Reilly barked even as "Momma" typed a few seconds ago because she heard a loud knock at door (and Reilly's stubborn cousin joined her in the barking). At least one tool tends to work to curb Reilly's inappropriate barking—the muzzle, which "Momma" refound recently and of which Reilly takes seriously the threat to have to wear for a while.

Of course, the muzzle is apparently cruel—so's the possibility of "Momma"" dying due to a bark-affected myoclonus flareup, though "Mom-Mom" and "Auntie Michelle" don't seem to care about that! Paradoxically, then, the same Reilly who has helped keep "Momma" alive could end up killing her and have "Mom-Mom" as well as "Auntie Michelle" be totally fine with that!
