Script For Practice Job-Seeking Video

Hello; my name is Nicole V. Czarnecki. I am a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I graduated in December of 2013 with of a Bachelor of Arts degree in the field of Political Science, and I am seeking a career in the political or journalist field. Specifically, I desire to be a politics-and-news commentator and analyst.

In full disclosure, I did not do as well in college as I could have done, and I have never had an internship. This is because I have Obsessive Compulsive/Generalized Anxiety, Major Depressive, and Attention Deficit Disorders, and Diplegic-Spastic/Mild Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy that required an Intravenous Baclofen Pump to improve. Nonetheless, what I lack in academic and professional experience is what I make up for in life experience, passion and conviction, and character.

I was born as a prematurely-born twin on January 23, 1990, and my twin and I were supposed to be born on April 22, 1990. Both my twin and I had complications due to our premature births, and my complications included a Category-Three brainbleed which effected me to have Cerebral Palsy. I was diagnosed with my form of Cerebral Palsy about a year and six months later.

I was in the hospital for 75 days—from January 23, 1990 to April 7th of the same year. I, according to what my doctors told my mother, was not supposed to ever walk, write, or catch up with my peers. I proved my doctors' suppositions wrong—I walked independently on May 26, 1994; I learned to write very well, and I finally caught up to my age cohorts after some time and earned my B.A. degree. Also, I stayed in line with my peers until after high school—my college years were some of my roughest years, and I came out of those years in one piece and with a fair amount of success.

I was raised by a divorced mother who has her own amazing life story, and I owe her more than the world—she helped me, for example, complete college and was with me during the difficult periods in my life. She stood by me and supported me  during, for instance, the first 75 days of my life—when I was in Saint Agnes Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit—, the fallout of her difficult divorce—which affected me, as a disabled child of divorce, profoundly—, and my Intravenous Baclofen Pump Surgery and recovery—which lasted from July 17, 2013 to August 2nd of the same. She also did the best that she could do in helping me deal with my abusive and otherwise-very-difficult dad.

Speaking of my dad, I also come from an interesting background on his side. On my paternal side, I am a bat-Anusim Ashkenazim—the daughter of Ashkenazi Crypto Jews. Because of this, I am very interested in Israeli and Jewish Diasporan matters—and I myself was born in the Jewish Diaspora, and plan to make aliyah if ever God wills that I should do so. I also am working on learning to speak fluent Hebrew—ani talmidah b'ivrit v'lomedet ivrit b'bayit.

Relatedly, one of my classes in my final semester at UMBC was Hebrew 101—and I did so well on the oral final, that my professor had "no comment" as to how I did. I also received an "A" in the class. Besides learning to speak Hebrew, I am also interested in learning about my family history—which, for a mispachah-Anusim, is quite an interesting one, as I have learned.

In that vein, I consider myself a Messianic Jew—I was baptized as a Roman Catholic, raised as an Episcopalian for the first 10 or 11 years of my life, became a Christian within those years, and went to a Presbyterian church and high school during the rest of my childhood years. I also began to suspect that I have Jewish heritage within the latter part of those years, and finding out about my Jewish heritage has only strengthened my Christian faith.

Because of my faith, I believe in having a good character. I believe in being as honest as possible—and, as people in my life have told, sometimes honest to a fault—, trustworthy, loving, kind, patient, forgiving, and all other manner of good. I also believe that my politics do reflect my worldview—for that reason, I am a conservative Republican (much to the chagrin of, for example, my late paternal granddad—who was one of the three IRS agents who served tax papers to then-President Nixon through President Nixon's attorneys—and my granddad was an ardently-liberal Democrat who did not like Republicans in any way, shape, form, circumstance, fashion or manner).

Speaking of my politics, I am volunteering on the campaign of a Howard County Executive candidate—namely, current Republican Maryland State Senator Allan H. Kittleman. I also blog about politics—among other matters—on my Blogspot blog, "The Nicole Factor."

Relatedly, I can be found utilizing other social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, and—of course—YouTube. In fact, I have an About.Me page on which you can find out more about me. As you will see, I am quite savvy in utilizing social media.

In conclusion, I hope that you consider me worthy of being interviewed as your potential employee, and I hope that my qualifications, experience, and character will prove my worth. Thank you for your time and consideration of me.

Sample Of My Schoolwork Writing: "Assessment and Analysis of a Scholarly Article" (Originally For SOWK 240)

In full disclosure, I will say that doing this assignment scared the crap out of me. I just hope that I did well on the assignment—i.e., I hope that I covered all of my bases and cited everything correctly. By the way, I—unless I am unaware of some law which states that I can't share my own writing on my own own blog—have the right to share my own writing. Also, for you to cite me if you use this blog entry would be nice; but I would be a hypocrite if I required that you cite that, since I believe in the Bible as opposed to the concept of "intellectual property".

Assessment and Analysis of a Scholarly Article:
Student Critique of “Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Students’ Prior
Sexual Abuse Victimization”
Nicole V. Czarnecki
University of Maryland, Baltimore County

Abstract
This article attempts to summarize, assess, and analyze Michelle T. Gore’s and Pamela J. Black’s study which is titled “Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Students’ Prior Sexual Abuse Victimization”. Published by Gore and Black (both of whom are affiliated with Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky) in Journal of Teaching In Social Work, the study stands for scrutiny insofar as it employed its chosen type of research and methodology, and insofar as it came to the conclusions to which it came. The scrutiny is the work of Nicole V. Czarnecki, who was then a student in the SOWK 240 (Information Technology in Social Work) class of Dr. Jessica Guzman-Rea at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Czarnecki was a Political Science (as opposed to a Social Work) major and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in December of 2013 (The time of Czarnecki’s critique of Gore’s and Black’s study was October 19, 2013, when Czarnecki was a to-be-graduating senior and Political Science major at UMBC.). Therefore, Czarnecki could not comprehensively assess and analyze the study of Gore and Black, both of whom are in the Social Work field (whereas Czarnecki is in the Political Science field).

Introduction
Michelle T. Gore and Pamela J. Black of Eastern Kentucky University conducted and published a study which they titled ““Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Students’ Prior Sexual Abuse Victimization”. Gore and Black published their study in Journal of Teaching In Social Work in 2009, and they described their 2009 publication as a study which “reports findings of an exploratory study surveying 61 students about their prior child sexual abuse victimization.” (Abstract From the Authors) They utilized quantitative work to attempt to answer the query of “What percentage of [Bachelor of Social Work] students [“at a south central U.S. regional university”] has been sexually abused (as defined by [the 2001 Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children] statute) during childhood?” (“RESEARCH QUESTION” &“METHODOLOGY”)
Gore and Black extensively laid out their 2009 study’s methodology. In sum, the methodology “consisted of 61 BSW students [who were] attending the university during the academic years of 2001 and 2002” and “taking a required course on child abuse”. The students each received “[a] confidential five-itemed questionnaire” (“SAMPLE” & “METHODOLOGY”). The questionnaires effected the researchers to find “that taking a child abuse course may increase BSW students’ self-awareness regarding prior victimization” and “social work students [indeed] report a higher occurrence of prior childhood abuse than the general population” (Abstract From the Authors & “DISCUSSION”).

Assessment and Analysis
As Gore and Black concede in their study’s “LIMITATIONS OF STUDY” section, “There were several limitations to this study.” One significant limitation is that Gore and Black used a highly-flawed methodology in that they defined “sexual abuse” in the terms of “[t]he state’s current definition of child sexual abuse” (“METHODOLOGY”), which in of itself is highly flawed. The definition, according to Gore and Black, is as follows (ibid.):
“‘‘Abused or neglected child’’ means a child whose health or welfare is harmed or threatened with harm when his parent, guardian, or other person exercising custodial control or supervision of the child:
(e) Commits or allows to be committed an act of sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, or prostitution will be committed upon a child;
(f) Creates or allows to be created a risk that an act of sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, or prostitution will be committed upon a child.
(Cabinet for Families and Children, 2001, p. 4)”
The flaw in the definition is that it “addresses abuse by a parent, guardian, or
others [who was or who were] acting in a caretaking capacity. It does not pertain to sexual abuse from non-custodians, peers, or abuse from strangers. For example, incidents of sibling sexual abuse would not be included unless the perpetrator was acting in a caretaking role with the alleged victim.” The flaw specifically is that the definition does not cover “sexual abuse from non-custodians, peers, or abuse from strangers” or “sibling sexual abuse” as “sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, or prostitution” which a “parent, guardian, or other person exercising custodial control or supervision of the child… allows to be committed…[and/or] [c]reates or allows to be created.”
Given that the definition is as highly flawed as it is, therefore, it alone nullifies and voids the study. After all, a “parent, guardian, or other person exercising custodial control or supervision of the child… allows to be committed…[and/or] [c]reates or allows to be created…sexual abuse from non-custodians, peers, or abuse from strangers” or “sibling sexual abuse”. Whether the custodian mandates, encourages, enables, or fails to act to stop and/or punish any “sexual abuse from non-custodians, peers, or abuse from strangers” or “sibling sexual abuse”, the custodian allows to be committed…[and/or] [c]reates or allows to be created…sexual abuse from non-custodians, peers, or abuse from strangers” or “sibling sexual abuse”. Therefore, Gore and Black must redo their study and base it on a definition that covers any and all custodian-mandated, -encouraged, -enabled, and –commended or –condoned sexual abuse.
As far as the study’s other limitations, Gore and Black adequately speak to those limitations. Therefore, this critique needs to not comment on those limitations. As this critique aforestated, the study must go through a reworking process and base itself on a definition of any and all sexual abuse that anyone commits against a child.
In conclusion, this critique assessed and analyzed Michelle T. Gore’s and Patricia J. Black’s 2009 annullable, voidable, and reworkable study which was published in Journal of Teaching In Social Work. This critique explicitly stated that Gore and Black must rework their study because of how they measured their concept of sexual abuse by the standards of the 2001 Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children law, which  inadequately and illogically does not count “sexual abuse from non-custodians, peers, or abuse from strangers” or “sibling sexual abuse” as “sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, or prostitution” which a “parent, guardian, or other person exercising custodial control or supervision of the child… allows to be committed…[and/or] [c]reates or allows to be created.”

I Hope That My Last Blog Entry Was A Lesson For Everybody....

  1. You are not allowed to abuse and persecute me on my own Facebook wall, especially since and when you don't have to even engage what I am sharing.
  2. You are not allowed to violate my First and Ninth Amendment rights, especially when I hold a scientific and religious belief that is legitimate. If you do, I will call you out.
  3. Facebook (and general) literacy is important. If you, for example, persecute me on a public status on my own wall, you will get called out publicly.
  4. If you're a Non-Messianic Jew, you're stuck with the Old Covenant. I did not give Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13, or the rest of the 613 mitzvot on Sinai--Yehovah did. You made the choice to reject Yeshua and obey Moshe (who himself looked to Yeshua's coming, and was punished when he disobeyed Yehovah). So, I will be a watchman and hold you to what you profess
  5. I don't proselytize, but I do share.
  6. If you're contending with Tanakh (whether or not you consider the B'rit Chadashah a part of it), you're contending with G-d, not me. Look at what happened at Massah and Merivah--and Tanakh wasn't fully revealed yet.

This Persecution, Misunderstanding of Judaism, and Hypocrisy Is Astounding...

And I see that, since I've unblocked this person, she blocked me in turn when I blocked her. I suppose that we blocked each other is actually good. Her name, by the way, is Rebecca "Becca" Borland; and Becca, I'm giving you the opportunity to respond to my response to your persecution of me.

"Okay, so this has popped up on my newsfeed, and I'm definitely not going to just sit by and watch bigotry unfold before my eyes. First of all, this Marie person did NOT threaten you in any way. She said absolutely nothing about harming you, nor does she seem to have verbally harassed you. Her point was that, because you can't respect her basic human rights, she has no reason to respect yours. She wasn't saying that she was going to beat you up. Secondly, if Lauren (I'm assuming that is her preferred name) claims that she is a woman, then she is a woman. You need to respect her preferred pronouns and call her what she wishes to be called. Doing otherwise causes mental and emotional trauma and dysphoria. If you refuse to call her by the appropriate pronouns and names, then I might as well call you a "him" or "Geoffrey". Thirdly, just because you personally believe that homosexuality is wrong doesn't mean that everyone else does. Your personal beliefs shouldn't have negative effects on other people. As they say, "my right to swing my arm stops at your face." This is easily applied to the subject of same-sex marriage. You can disagree with it all you want, but in the end, it has nothing to do with you. Your happiness and their happiness are not mutually exclusive. I think it's time you stepped into the modern age, grew up, and became a bit more open-minded."

First of all, I am not a bigot for believing what Judaism (including Messianic Judaism)--regardless of Reform, Reconstructionist, and other Liberal ("Progressive", Apostate) Judaism has held. Torah unequivocally states, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination." and "if a man lie with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

I have never advocated murdering homosexuals, as I am under the New Covenant; whereas you are under the Old, so killing homosexuals for you would not be murder--think about that! I even stated that some homosexuals were indeed born homosexual, have a thorn in the flesh (See the New Testament if you're interested re thorns in the flesh.), and have chosen to be celibate.

Secondly, Marie did threaten me when I rightly called her boyfriend "'Lauren'", since he is really not "Lauren"--but James. Unless he can fumigate or otherwise change his DNA--so that he has two sets of X Chromosomes--, he is and remains a man and Marie's boyfriend. Therefore, Marie's "like hell I'm going to respect you" if I didn't "respect" her "girlfriend" was a threat to beat the heck out of me.

Thirdly, since you are under the Old Covenant, you should be advocating killing homosexuals for abominations. So, who needs to step into the modern age, grow up, and become a bit more open-minded? You. You have flagrantly, brazenly, and disreputably rejected Yehovah, let alone the Mashiach. I am under mercy and grace, and for bringing homosexuals among others (even people like you) the Gospel; you are for defying the very G-d who created you.

Think before you call me a demode, childish, closed-minded bigot again. I didn't create marriage; Yehovah did. Take marriage up with Yehovah, not me. By the way, I can post whatever I want on my Facebook wall. Who's the childish one for persecuting someone on her own Facebook wall--especially when she's not a friend of hers and has no business engaging her wall posts in the first place?

So, are you going to think before you persecute me again, or are you going to look like a fool and continue to look like a fool? The ball, so to speak, is in your court now.

By the way, If I ever start advocating killing active homosexuals, then you can have a problem with me. In fact, Tanakh says clearly that active homosexuality is an abomination that is punishable by death (cf. Leviticus 18:22-29, 20:13). But since I'm under the New Covenant, I don't advocate killing homosexuals. So, I don't get what the deal with some who are under the Old Covenant is when both covenants say that active homosexuality.

As far as homosexuality in general, it could fall under a thorn in the flesh. See, e.g., 2 Corinthians 12:7-12. Also by the way, I don't want to hear the qualms about Becca's privacy. When Becca made the comment, she did it on a public status. If she didn't want it made public, she should not have posted it on a public status, let alone the public status of a non friend who she was looking to persecute. Besides, I needed to respond. She is technically under the Old Covenant, which advocates the death penalty for homosexuality. So, she's also being a hypocrite by advocating the opposite of what the Old Covenant indicates.

She needs to take responsibility for her comment. I don't have to be stepped on, and I won't be stepped on. I originally took the enabling step of just blocking her and removing her comment. I originally failed to hold her accountable for her persecution and hypocrisy. I could have also taken pains to report her comment to Facebook if I could have reported it another way (since I couldn't report it directly). I didn't.

The days where I do nothing about my abusers and persecutors are over, though. If you are a Non-Messianic Jew who persecutes me about my stance on same-sex marriage, for example, I'm going to tell you that you have to either actually advocate even the death of homosexuals or take up holding yourself to the New Covenant and sharing the Gospels even with homosexuals who might not otherwise be saved if they don't hear that active homosexuality is wrong from you.

Maybe I'm Trying To Justify Myself Here, But...

So what? For:

  1. , Michelle has a boyfriend; I don't have one. So why not buy myself a few items--some of which are free (excepting the worth-it shipping costs) and promoting charity; others of which are both life investments and going 5% toward charity; and two of which are life investments (one for university spirit , and one for religious reasons)?
  2. , it's my SSI Money. Besides, given Reason #1, I'm making life investments with them. Also, why can't I have First Amendment Rights (e.g., the kippah and tallit) if people on welfare can be TVs, cars, blingy jewelry, and X-Box sets--among other things?
  3. , I just gave Michelle a bit of it to use for her campus card.
  4. , I bought a kippah (which I've needed, anyway; since I don't know what Jason would do if he caught me wearing one of the JSU-provided ones, and wearing kippot is a Biblical option for women) and an American-Israeli flag pin (to replace the one that I lost)--and both of which are the 5%-charity items (since JewishSource partnered with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, and the haredim considered the IFCJ trief ). I also bought a Messianic tallit--again, a life investment.
  5. , I plan on--G-d willing--wearing the kippah and tallit at least at Shabbat at UMBC and wherever else, and New Heritage Church and wherever else--if not daily--for the rest of my life. I also plan on wearing the American-Israeli flag pin daily for the rest of my life.
  6. , Look at the picture and its caption below. Right now, I am wearing five of the free charity items that I've worn daily since I got them--and you can't see the American flag pin that I'm wearing (with will become Dubru's when--G-d willing--I get the other pin), but I'm wearing it. One item I sadly lost (the glass keychain--it fell off and broke), and the bracelet that I first got is now a keychain--since I can no longer wear it, since it was falling apart.
  7. , speaking of Dubru the University Spirit Teddy Bear, I actually held him during the debate to keep my anxiety--e.g., over my IBS and peeing myself during the long debate--down; and he's currently sitting on my pillow. I--G-d willing--may also pass him down to any children and grandchildren who I have.
  8. I considered and searched a long time for a worthy tallit--G-d led me to a Messianic one.
I could go on, but you get the point.

Guatemalan bracelet, "Home Is Where Your Pet Is" bracelet, grass-woven bracelet, "Live, Laugh, Love" ring--which could fit only on middle finger--, American flag pin--all of which come from the GreaterGood Network. On my person, but not shown: the American flag pin and the keychain, which is on my purse on my said person.

I guess that part of the reason that I'm feeling guilt, too, is that I know that Mom could flip--Jewish guilt, although Mom (as far as we know) is a gentile (or mostly gentile, anyway)! Also, Dad did never give me but $40 for the past four or so birthdays--so, consider the kippah, pin, and tallit (since he claims to be a Messianic Jew, and I'm Jewish through him), and Dubru his birthday presents to me (and treats to myself, since--among the other reasons that I gave--I don't have a boyfriend and I'm making life investments, anyway).

I Couldn't Resist...

I got him at the UMBC Bookstore for the sake of University Spirit, since it is Homecoming Season (I used Campus Cash.) and so that I could have something by which to remember UMBC--and after all the trouble that I put the cashiers through to make sure that I wouldn't get one made in Indonesia as the others are (since he was made in China--the lesser of two evils). His Spanish nickname is "Oside" (for "Osito de la Espiritu Universitario"), his Hebrew nickname "Dubru" ("Dubi-Ru'ach-Ha'Universita").

I'll Stay On The Threads, And...

I wanted to apologize for the way that I handled the situation re "Rabbi" Jason. While I'm leaving up the old post for reference, I do want to say that I let my nerves get too hit. I guess that I just don't like the intra-community persecution, especially from a "rabbi" who heads UMBC Hillel, doesn't believe in a Mashiach (when Tanakh presents the concept of a Mashiach--and especially Maimonides to present-day Jewish [Messianic and Non-Messianic Jewish] scholars codify the concept of a Mashiach), and apparently has made other Messianic Jews on campus feel uncomfortable (As I said, I don't like the search result "find messianic jews umbc"--that indicates to me that we either feel like we have to be silent on campus, or there's even a witch hunt going on.). If a Non-Messianic Jew without any kind of authority had persecuted me and/or someone else, I or we could blow the persecution off. But I'm talking about the "Rabbi" of UMBC Hillel with whom I chose to share that I'm Messianic and that I wouldn't proselytize.

Also, as far as Erik goes, I just used Erik as an example of a controversial topic in of himself--not to persecute or boogeyman him. Therefore, I'm just going to bury his comments--they're not worth reading or dignifying with a response.

Who I Am And Why I Stay Off Of the UMBC Threads

Let me state that, in full and unequivocal disclosure, I am a non-proselytizing type of Messianic Jewish Protestant of the (for a lack of better termage) Evangelical ("fundamentalist") strain. I'm also a conservative Republican. As far as I can read, the Bible tells me:
"Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor."
Now, firstly, do I care if you even believe in a Mashiach or Messiah? Yes; but what can I do about it? Do I, however, care if you persecute me and other Messianic Jews for believing in the Biblical and historical Jesus of Nazareth as the Messiah? Yes. After all, we who are Messianic Jews at least believe in a Jewish man as Mashiach--and the concept of Mashiach is both in Tanakhand codified all the way from Maimonides to the present.
As for gentile Christians, I don't encourage persecuting them, either--nonetheless, you probably expect gentiles to be Christians and thus won't persecute them like some of you may be prone to persecute "meshumadim" and "koferim" like me. By the way, I am--as far as I can tell--well educated enough in my dad's people's history, etc. to know that I am considered a heretical apostate, soul stealer and destroyer, etc. by many--I've even been on the end of persecution, even by "Rabbi" Jason Klein (and I'll still keep "out[ing] [my]self", thank you; and to not eventually disclose that I am Messianic would've been as dishonest as stating that Jews For Jesus causes "havoc" and that--albeit implicitly as it was stated that--I am not Jewish. Again, by the way, I at least believe in the 12th Priniciple of Maimonides and a concept in Tanakh.).
By the way, I want to let Messianic Jews like myself know that we don't have to stay silent on campus--as long as we don't truly proselytize (which, according to Webster, is forcing, bribing, or otherwise coercively inducing conversion of any nature), we are okay. We can even share our faith if asked--that is not forcing, bribing, or inducing conversion (See Webster and 1 Corinthians 3:5-8). I apologize for not being more public about being persecuted when I chose to disclose that I'm a Mesianic Jew who promises not to proselytize--after all, I don't want people looking for "find messianic jews umbc" (as my FeedJit showed). I don't want Messianic Jews to feel forced into silence or even (G-d forbid that we'd be) witch hunted on campus. The same goes for other groups, by the way: as long as you're not proselytizing or persecuting anybody, laissez-faire
Especially given all of that and other factors, I know to stay away from these threads. Besides being at risk for being persecuted (including being accused of being a proselytizing, soul-stealing Nazi who's trying to destroy the Jewish people by converting everyone to Christianity in the way that my great-great-grandparents were converted into Roman Catholicism during the pogroms), I want to stay away from contentious and unnecessary debates about topics including--but not limited to--same-gender marriage, abortion, and Erik Walker.
In conclusion, you know who I am, where I stand, and that I'll let you be if you let me be. L'shalom tikatevu.

Can I trust you all to pray for and encourage me to make my best efforts to abide by these goals which I set for myself? A lot of these goals are hard to abide by with my Cereral Palsy, OCD/Anxiety/Depression/mild ADD/possible Aspeberger's, propensity to eat out of boredom, emotion, etc.; and the energy taken out of me from dealing with my C.P., etc. among other issues with which I deal.

With All Due Respect To Dr. Michelle Scott of University of Maryland, Baltimore County...

Firstly, your faith and "objectivity as a historian" cannot be separated. For, "As in water face reflects face, So a man’s heart reveals the man." (Proverbs 27:19) Furthermore, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things." (Matthew 12:35) You can't separate a worldview for any other kind of view, and vice versa. Secondly, there is a class of undeserving poor men. "A lazy man buries his hand in the bowl, And will not so much as bring it to his mouth again." (Proverbs 19:24) Also:

But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he[a] received from us. For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you; nor did we eat anyone’s bread free of charge, but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us.
10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. 11 For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. 12 Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.
13 But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good. 14 And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed.15 Yet do not count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

(From 2 Thessalonians 3)

There are welfare queens, people who want to blame the White man and conservatives (including you, since you talk about a "conservative backlash"), and others who refuse to face that deliberate ineptness, sloth, and similar factors are what influence and cause poverty and even the supposed War on Poverty (which has been a miserable failure) to happen in the first place-- in other words, as I admittedly tweeted during class today, "Reaganomics may've worked if the "undeserving poor" & the Church did their jobs."

Also in other words, we wouldn't even need a "War" on Poverty, which has actually been a death march to poverty-- and we thought that slavery and the Holocaust were over. Oh no: many Blacks and many of us Jews-- that is, those of us in the ghettos such as Crown Heights and Northwest Baltimore-- have enslaved and entrapped ourselves under the burdens of unneeded government entitlements such food stamps, welfare checks, Social Security and unemployment benefits, and other "safety" nets.

Thus, in conclusion, you are serving only to perpetuate a self-imposed Holocaust (among Jews) and self-imposed slavery (among Blacks and others)  by being among those who blame trickle-down economics and Republicans instead of those who refuse to work for and feed themselves, and instead of the Church-- who has grown deliberately weary in doing good; and which supposedly, since you implied that you had a faith, includes yourself.
