A tribute for Friends Day and World Cancer Day (February 4, 2019. PS Reilly's fine, thanks be to Yehovah. "Momma" factored in World Cancer Day for another reason related to Reilly):
Ode To a Gregarious Rose Of a Fur-riend (and Her "Momma"'s Little Valentine)
"Reilly"—"gregarious"
"Rosalita"—"little rose"
Reilly Rosalita, with gorgeous
Fur, colors and markings, and eyes
And cute ears and a cute little nose,
The latter of which she uses for all of her tries
To find whatever "nasties" she can sniff out and eat
Even though she knows that a "nasty" is not a treat,
And despite that all of her human loved ones have explained
That they don't want her to end up getting any "nasty" that's really dangerous!
If anything ever did happen to Reilly, all of them would be pained—
That's even part of why Reilly got spayed and doesn't get conventional food, treats, or toys
—And Yehovah forbid that she would ever get a "nasty" with carcinogens!—
What would "Momma" alone do if her "dogter", who brings her a lot of joy,
Ever had mammary and/or other types of cancers?
May her prayer for Reilly to live at least 120 healthy canine years
Be a prayer that Yehovah answers
In her favor, and preferably
Until she herself's lived at least 256 canine years and is near
Her own time to cross the Rainbow Bridge and—as she
Always tells Reilly, anyone who leaves this world is going—"to see
"Jesus", to Whose throne they believe that the Rainbow Bridge leads
