Another Thing About Being Jewish

"Mandel" is not a koheni kinnui.
  • Not all Levys, etc. are Levi'im, either--for example, some Khazars married Levi'yot and took on Levi kinnuim and other Levi surnames (though they're all deceased now, and their "Levy", etc. descendants are Levi'im). As for Levi'im Levi'im are like kohanim--especially if Non-Levi Israelim and/or Non Jews crept into our lines. For example, the Foczkos are Khazarate-Levitical Jews--and Kevin may dispute this all that he wants, but writing a letter won't change that the Foczkos (Fockos, Foskos) went from Khazaria and Russia to Germany, Denmark, Poland, and (in our cases) Slovakia, Hungary, the United States, and Switzerland (as one Foczkova did marry and move to Switzerland from Slovakia). Here's an example of a Levi grave of a Levi who did not have a Levi kinnui:
His name was "Black", which is not a Levi kinnui.
  • As for Isra'elim (just as with kohanim and Levi'im), not all have Isra'elim kinnuim or surnames such as "Israel", "Judycki" ("Yuditski"), or "Jacobi". Not all Jewish gravestones--Isra'eli, Levi, or koheni--have Jewish symbols, either. Case in point:
Her name was Jennifer "Jennie" Ulawski Gladey Czarnecki, by the way. We don't know what the Chernetskis (Czarneckis) were--they may well have been Danim if "Danilowicz" incidates "Dan", "Dani", "ben-Dani", or bnei-Dan" as opposed to "ben-Dani'el". "Andrulewicz", "Morgiewicz" (Margiewicz"), and "Chernetski" indicate absolutely nothing (as far as tribal affiliation).

An Anusi Levi grave, by the way--which is not obvious. Like Great-Granduncle "Johnkie"'s grave, it is not marked with a Jewish symbol whatsoever.
aka "Jacob Cohen"

I Have a Choice About My Jewishness, And...

I can, at my age and in my current circumstances, no longer use ignorance as an excuse. To be fair to myself and even others, I acknowledge that I was once at ages at which, and in circumstances in which, I was not even influenced--let alone provoked--to ask whether or not I'm Jewish. But now that I'm old enough and in other circumstances, I have a few choices regarding my Jewishness--none of which include ignorance or unknowing of my Jewishness, or fumigation of my DNA. Among the choices are:

  1. Denying that I'm Jewish. I can easily fall back on the cockamamie Fosko-Rusnak story that we're Czechoslovakian Byzantine Catholics, and the Czarnecki story that we're Polish-Lithuanian Roman Catholics who descended from lone immigrant Anthony Czarniecki and his great-whatever-granddad Stefan Czarniecki.
  2. Otherwise going Anusit (Crypto Jewish).
  3. Denying that Jewishness is an ethnic identity. Why not fall back on the excuse that Jewishness is a religious identity as opposed to an ethnic one?
  4. Pretending that because I believe in Jesus (Yeshua), I'm no longer an ethnic Jew--I somehow became an ethnic gentile by believing in the Jewish Messiah.
  5. Pretending that because my mom is (as far as I know) a gentile, I am not ethnically Jewish, anyway--in other words, denying that my Jewish dad had any part in my creation.
  6. Becoming a Self-Hating Jew.
  7. Actually using ignorance as an excuse (although, as I said, I really can't at my age and in my circumstances--besides, people would see right through my supposed ignorance).
  8. Not caring that I'm Jewish, anyway--using the "There is neither Jew nor gentile...", "We're all one in Christ.", "What does it matter?" interpretation of Galatians 3:28 that my mom uses.
  9. Converting ("returning" or becoming a "gerah tzedekah" in the case of converting) to Non-Messianic Judaism (depending how one would view my conversion).
  10. Proudly identifying as a Patrilineal and Messianic Jew (Jewish Christian).
I choose Choice #10: "Proudly identifying as a Patrilineal and Messianic Jew (Jewish Christian)." I'll break down why I didn't choose the other reasons later.

Part One Of My Stage32 Writer's Submission

You know what? For lack of better termage, screw it--it may not be creative, but I'm going to write down the real story with the real names for Stage 32--and so what if I get sued? Truth is a lot more interesting than fiction; and in this case, could be turned into something creative--like a movie based on it.

Here's the real story--real names, real everything. The Foczkos, my dad's maternal grandmother's maternal family--in other words, Greg Czarnecki's maternal grandmother (Marysia "Mary" Elizabeth Rusnak Gaydos)'s family--to begin with them--are Khazar-Levitical Jews. In other words, we're part of the 52% of Ashkenazi Levites that had a Khazar patriarch incorporated into our Levitical lines at some points--my cousin Kevin Fosko (who has an Americanized version of "Foczko"--as my great-great-grandmother, Julia Fosko Rusnak, did) took a DNA test and found the R1a1a1 marker and got hits in Germany, Slovakia, Denmark, and (particularly where Foczkos with the exact spelling of the surname that we used have been) Poland.

There was a triangle that the Foczkos were part of once we moved from Khazaria to Russia, to Poland: the triangle was Warsaw, Lodz, and Radom. We got kicked out of that triangle and moved to Zlata Idka, Slovakia (then Aranyida, Hungary) in about 1776--we converted, we were Anusim, and (for lack of better termage) that was a no-no. Why we were Anusim, I don't know. Anyway, we were Anusim--and in many respects, still are--even the Messianics among us (myself included) have many Anusim among us (Well, I'm not one of them--I'm openly a Messianic Jew, though I didn't know that I'm Jewish for a long time.).

By the way, if you don't believe me, go look up "Foczko", "Focko", etc. on JewishGen.org, FamilySearch.org, Ancestry.com, and wherever else--I (along with Kevin, among others; but Kevin and I for the most part) have done the homework. I should've mentioned Khazaria.com, too, while I'm at it--how much do I have to cite to not get sued, by the way (I hate the MLA, by the way--there is nothing new under the sun! Isn't basic citation or attribution enough?)?

To be continued. I'll provide screenshots, etc. later--and also depending on how much I won't get sued, etc..

Another Blog Shabbat Yesterday...

It was semi unintentional (I ran out of time.). Nonetheless, I must be (so to speak) racking up Shabbatot this week (Sunday and Wednesday) for some reason--maybe something big in which I can't take Blog Shabbatot must be about to happen. Incidentally, Chodesh Elul is supposed to happen on the 19th (and rekeeping track of the date, it is the 26 of Av, 27th tonight); so that could have something to do with it--though the summer's been quite eventful!

Why Russian Jews And Jews Like Myself Are Perhaps Not Buriable In Israel

Many of those Former Soviet nationals are Jews but are not considered as such by the Orthodox Pharisees--either because they're Karaites, Messianic Jews (Jewish Christians), or something else altogether; Patrilineal Jews or not Matrilineally or otherwise Jewish enough. I come from that very legacy--I am a Jewish Christian but can't even look to bury myself and reinter certain relatives in Israel because we were Ashkenazim Anusim and/or descendants thereof. Prime example: my great-granduncle Bernie--the only reason that he can't be reinterred in Israel is because his parents lived as Crypto Jews (Anusim) in Poland during the pogroms and America when their non-converted family kicked them off of the family farm. Otherwise, with no direct descendants or anyone else claiming to be his next of kin, who would object to me taking my Anusi great-granddad's brother to the land that my great-great-grandparents yearned for?

Let's See...

  1. I observed my Blog Shabbat for this week yesterday.
  2. I'm changing my Blogger habits--sort of. For certain people (at least those who I'm friendly and/or reconciled with), I won't say and do certain things. As for the people that I don't like, I'm just not giving you the time of day and I'm letting you fall into your own trap unless I absolutely have to expose you--e.g., Toby Keith, Tiki Barber and Traci Lynn Johnson Barber. As for Toby Keith--as I've blogged before--, the man had gallbladder surgery and now has time to think and reflect--so, I wish the man well and hopes that he uses his time out to get his priorities in order. As for Tiki and Traci Lynn Johnson Barber; they're now married and the ones who are going to have to deal with what they've done if and when their marriage goes the way that Tiki Barber's first marriage did. As for who they're friends with and who's friends with them, I can do nothing about that. Besides, I have people in my own life for whom some people would like at me like I'm Tiki or Traci Johnson Barber.
  3. I'm given up on holding family, friends, etc. accountable in real life as well--not that I'm perfect, but you'll fall into whatever traps of your own that you've set up. As I did say in the open letter and the follow up (which few to none bothered to read), though (and both of which I ended up removing partly because so few people read the follow up); you can forget me sharing family pictures--after all, if I have to ask you to post an image while you're posting the same kinds of images (e.g., of yourself and of others who you've asked me not to post pictures of, all while you're posting pictures of yourself and even of them), you can perhaps even forget my taking of pictures of you. I'm not playing your hypocritical games anymore, and you'll miss of a heck of a lot of memories. By the way, this isn't everyone in the family--this is only those few with (so to speak) sticks up their butt about what I do and have a "G-d forbid that you do it, but I can do whatever I want" attitude. To the ones who aren't hypocritical and don't mind picture taking and sharing, you'll always be allowed to see my photos.
  4. For some reason, my Google Chrome broswer and Wireless Mouse are going AWOL, and my Internet Explorer can be a bit slow.

I could go on, but few to none of you will probably give a darn.

The DNA Results Actually Only Solidify That...

We're Matrilineal Levites with Khazar blood on the Focko/Foczko/Fosko side. With the circumstantial evidence, the Foczkos stand as a case of proving both that Khazars did convert into Judaism and become convert Levites, and that they married Levite women in order to do so. For once thing, Jews in Poland who have the name "Focko" or "Foczko" are right near the Slovakian border.

For second, one of the Fockos who had the misfortune of being a Holocaust victim shares a cousin's name--Miriam. Our cousin is Mariama--not Mary, Marysia, etc.. Third, there are hardly or even no "Marys" in our Foczko line for the girls until others--e.g., the Hanzoks and Rusnaks--come in; and most of those Marys were named after relatives--e.g., Marysia Rusnak Gaydos for Marysia Novakova Rusnakova, Dr. MaryAnn Gaydos for her mother, her aunt Mary Ann Gaydos Drank, and great-grandma Maria Homova Gajdoszova; and my aunt for her grandmothers--not the Virgin Mary. By the way, Ashkenazic Jews were often named "Mary" and variants thereof for "Mariam".

For third, Crypto Jews stuck together--e.g., the "Kvetkovits" (not "Cvetkovic") and Molnar Rusnaks, and the Rusnak Novaks. Andrew Rusnak would've never married a gentile if he didn't have to--and his wife, Julia Fosko Rusnak, was the first and only Hanzok-Foczko girl, and not named Mary! By the way, we did not take our surname until after the 1700s.

For fourth, Kevin got hits for R1a1a1 in Germany, Denmark, Poland, and Slovakia; all of where Ashkenazic Jews (including Ashkenazic Levites) have been--too significant to not place R1a1a1 in the Khazar-Jewish Levite category. Besides, ethnic Germans and Danes have R1b and I1 as their haplogroups.

In conclusion, the DNA results with the circumstantial evidence only prove that we're Khazar-Jewish Levites who thought that we were Patrilineal Levites and became an Ashkenazic Anusi mishpacha. So, our Khazar ancestors became convert Levites and married Levite women. This also means that Kevin is more than just a Lewczyk (Levshik) Levite.
