Now I have to do the pre-final draft. I can simply pull stuff from blog posts, Ancestry, etc. to fill in what I couldn't or didn't put in the first draft, handwritten. The pre-final draft will be given the Steve Jobs treatment-- i.e., typed! Remember that the novel is Great-Grandma Czarnecki's story with just names, dates, etc. imagined or used fictiously.
Nicole Czarnecki (Nickidewbear from YouTube) blogs here, especially since AOL RED Blogs shut down a while back.

I Still Can't Dates Right (I Was Never Good At Math)
For one, I'm working on a novel which should actually be finished by later today (October 6, not 5th; meaning that's now... I still can't get it... Tishri.... let's see... 29/1, 30/2, 1/3... 6/8. So, Tishri 8th and thus 'Erev Lifnei 'Erev Shabbat. I'm still working on learning Ivrit, by the way. Anyway...).
When calculating the dates (since the novel is Great-Grandma Czarnecki's story up to Pop-Pop's murder of her with just names, etc. from my imagination or rendered fictiously with a few exceptions), I originally meant to set dates up by 32 years. Because of a calculating mistake, I had to change the starting date from September 26, 1881 (Pop-Pop Allen's and Great-Great-Granduncle Frank Fosko Sr.'s birthday; and Great-Grandma's "new" birthday, to symbolically unite both sets of great-grandparents and for convenience). I had to set everything up by 22 years instead, and change the starting date to 1891.
By the way, "finished by later today" means by the end of Tishri 8th. And rest in shalom, Steve Jobs-- Apple lost its core.

I Think That The Family's (Still) Shocked That We're Jewish Or That I Found Out
The idea sure scared Grandma. As I've said, let's be fair-- he mother was that koferah Mary Rusnak Gaydos. How you can believe in Jesus and follow FDR's Anti-Semitic, isolationist policy and not help relatives who wouldn't reach out to your "meshumadah" side otherwise is beyond me-- at least in some ways. Not that Janet Rozzi minds defending (in her eyes) dear old "Grandma", by the way-- what a shame that a Levit (Levite; i.e., "Levan") and Yisakharit (Issacharite; "Dov", "Bear" instead of "Donkey" ) refuses to know better; which goes for the Lavin-McMahons as well (I believe that Ally Shumack is one of them somehow; and if not, either way, she got mad.). I can tell by who un- or de-friends me on Facebook, by the way (I'll name more names if I have to. My family is not above reproach.).
As for Pop-Pop... and I don't know if he (or Grandma) knows our tribal origins; but they're sure not helping. The one clue might be Danilowicz; but that could simply be "ben Dani'el". Meanwhile, Michelle can do the gesture l'yad shel habrakha shel koheinim pretty well (She learned and picked it up from a kohein named Craig Zolotrow.).
By the way, I wanted the DNA tests from Dad, Pop-Pop, et. al. to check for kohein v'Levi DNA markers. I know that Dad is my dad, and that my murderous granddad is my granddad; and the only reason that I can stand being related to them is because I'm Jewish through them-- and as I said, what was Pop-Pop doing murdering his Jewish mother?

That somebody, unless Blogger is counting my own searches, is looking for relatives of Mihal and Katarina Uszinskyova Gajdosz (Michael and Katherine Ushinsky Gajdos). By the way, one still has to give that Great-Granddad Gajdos (Gaydos) was incredibly brave that "We're Russian" during the Soviet Union Era-- besides, blowing our Anusi cover was Hell for him ("The only reason that he said that is because he worked in a Russian Orthodox Church."). Someone had to stand with Soviet Jews against Meir Kahane-- and Mary Rusnak Gaydos-- though (That was gutsy to get her back for what she did to her relatives during the Holocaust.).

So Great-Grandma Czarnecki Was Jewish After All..
As I wrote on Facebook:
: Monka/Monk: "English: nickname for someone of monkish habits or appearance, or an occupational name for a servant employed at a monastery, from Middle English munk, monk ‘monk’ (Old English munuc, munec, from Late Latin monachus, Greek monakhos ‘solitary’, a derivative of monos ‘alone’).

North German (Mönk) and Dutch: equivalent of 1, from Middle Low German monik, Middle Dutch moni(n)c, mun(i)c.
Irish: translation of Gaelic Ó Muineaog (see Minogue) or Ó Manacháin (see Monahan).
Jewish (eastern Ashkenazic): occupational name for a miller or flour merchant, from Polish maka ‘flour’, ‘meal’. "
Mari-Ann, Jeff , Bob , etc.; you're gonna wanna read this.
[By the way, Jeff has a blog here-- which I've subscribed to but only gotten around to seeing glimpses of it: "A Moment Changes Everything".]
: Well, there's a nice touch of irony. So, Jewish Monka-Trudniaks married other Jews (e.g., Chernetskis) after all. Of course, typing "Monka" on Yad Vashem and checking "Monka" against "Monk" with Google Translate and Ancestry.com isn't the... most conventional way to find out. And I'd still love to know where "Nezne Lapse (Lajse?)" is.
Pop-Pop "McCoy" Wasn't a Spaniard? He Was Born In Spain, But...
Pop-Pop "McCoy" was probably likely a Jew who fled the remnants of the Inquisition (c. 1485-1492 - 1834), by the way. For such a Spanish-Irish-American Catholic born a pure-blooded Spaniard, he sure didn't name any of his daughters "Mary", "Maria", etc.. Nana McCoy was MaryAnn Elizabeth McCoy of Northern Ireland, and Nana Allen (Mom's maternal grandmother) was the second granchild, Alice Marie Reilly. The first was Anne (or Ann) (c. 1879 - before or in 1900). The others:
Children:
Grandchildren (by Nana (Great-Great-Grandma) Rosa A. McCoy Reilly):
Children:
- Lavinia (1858-1911)
- Lucy (c. 1859 - ?)
- Jane (c. 1861 - ?)
Grandchildren (by Nana (Great-Great-Grandma) Rosa A. McCoy Reilly):
- Loretta Rosa,
- Sarah Catherine
- Helen Lavinia
- Philip Leo, Sr. (the only other McCoy-Reilly child who married)
- Agnes Genevive "Sister Mary Rosalita, OSM" (who took Mary upon becoming an OSM nun)
- Marguerite M. Allen Loessel
- Katherine
- Dolores (Died in the 1918 Flu Epidemic)
- Eymard Edgar (The Edgar comes from Pop-Pop Allen's name, Edgar Joseph; Pop-Pop Allen, September 26, 1881 - August 21, 1959)
- Bernadette Helen Allen Dew
- Francis Xavier "X." Allen (December 31, 1921 - November 27 (Thanksgiving Eve) 1974. Mom's paternal granddad).
- Aloysius Ignatius "Reverend Steven" Allen (who hated his name)
The "Missionary" vs. the Anti or Counter Missionary
"Isaiah 42:5-9
New King James Version (NKJV)
5 Thus says God the LORD,
Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it,
Who gives breath to the people on it,
And spirit to those who walk on it:
6 “ I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness,
And will hold Your hand;
I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people,
As a light to the Gentiles,
7 To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the prison,
Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
8 I am the LORD, that is My name;
And My glory I will not give to another,
Nor My praise to carved images.
9 Behold, the former things have come to pass,
And new things I declare;
Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”"
Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it,
Who gives breath to the people on it,
And spirit to those who walk on it:
6 “ I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness,

I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people,

And My glory I will not give to another,
Nor My praise to carved images.
9 Behold, the former things have come to pass,
And new things I declare;
Before they spring forth I tell you of them.”"
This verse is often interpreted as Yisra'el's call to be ha ner el ha goyim-- "the light to the nations".
Isaiah 2:3
Many people shall come and say, “ Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Micah 4:2
Many nations shall come and say, “ Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

These verses are also part of Yisra'el's being as ha ner el ha goyim. There are missions of outreach such as JewFAQ.org (which is insidiously Antimissionary) and the Outreach Judaism Haredi, all the way down to Reform, movements-- all of which with few exceptions are very Antimissionary.
The "Missionary" or Jewish Christian (Messianic Jewish) movement applies Yesha'yahu 42:5-9 in its original context-- as a fulfilled prophecy concerning Mashiach:
(Emphasis mine)
Thus says God the LORD,
Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it,
Who gives breath to the people on it,
And spirit to those who walk on it:

In the last section of TaNaKH ("H" for "Hadashah"), we find this parsha from Mattiyahu 28:
Matthew 28:18-20
New King James Version (NKJV)
18 And Jesus came and spoke to
them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[a]
and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have
commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Amen.[b]
Indisputably clear is that a Jewish or gentile Christian (especially a Jewish Christian in the "Missionary" regard) is not to force his or her faith on anyone, Jewish or gentile:
- Matthew
10:14
And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.
- Mark
6:11
And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”
- Luke
9:5
And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”
- Acts
13:51
But they shook off the dust from their feet against them, and came to Iconium.
