A Virtual Pesach Card From Reilly and Camille For Pesach 5779

We had only some of the karpas (celery) and betzim because the other food—even the matzah—isn't safe for puppies this year!

Reilly did get some of the matzah, though, when her "Momma" was putting matzah crumbs over her own meal for shulchan orech!

At least there was an alternative to the afikomen—a third of a salmon-and-sweet-potato treat (The matzah was gluten-free and had grape juice, and gluten-free at the behest of Auntie Michelle/Mimi).

Of course, Momma/Auntie Nicole had a hard time hiding the afikomen—we didn't help her by being impatient, the albe-benevolent stalkers that we are!

I, Camille, especially didn't help Auntie Nicole!

Meanwhile, she tricked us—she got us to pose for pictures as she ate karpas dipped in leftover brisket sauce and we watched her!

Reilly, though, did get part of a betzah later because Camille found the afikomen!

#FluffyFriday and #FlashbackFriday...To Yesterday; And "Auntie Nicole" et. al. Are Amazingly Still Alive

"But his uncle sat where he was and ate on, now from this bowl and now from that, and Wang Lung stood there bursting with his blood, and when he saw his uncle paid, no heed to him, he stepped forward with his arm upraised. Then the uncle turned and said: 'Drive me out if you dare.'...

"Auntie Nicole" thought that it was "Try me if you dare." Either way, that's the passage of which Camille reminded her as she guarded her new toy—and she glared at Reilly, too!—and actually amazed "Auntie Nicole" when she let me throw it
—and this after she growled at "Mom-Mom" and "Mimi" as well as caused Reilly to drop the other new toy in dread!

(And oh yeah...Camille is a Light Apricot Toy Maltipoo, and thus has a red Maltese beard!)


(Not to mention that she just came over for scritches when she heard "Cam, come here!" as "Auntie Nicole" played the second video! 😆

(Cam is quite a character. 🙂

Onions, Doorbells, and Foodies

Reilly even tried to block "Momma" by giving her kisses when she figured that she might be recording her!



This isn't to mention, as "Momma" may have mentioned before, that Reilly reminded Joyce (Reilly's breeder) that it was time for her to eat one of her afternoon meals (at 4:00 PM) as "Momma" was going home after meeting Reilly (which was on May 3, 2014; so, she needed more to eat back then)!

#ThrowbackThursday: Camille Gets "Auntie Nicole" In Trouble For Not Getting "Mom-Mom" Scratched!

Did "Auntie Nicole" nonetheless get to demonstrate how much Camille loves her "num-nums" and keep "Mom-Mom" from getting scratched (not to mention that "Mimi" let her to hold Cam in the first place)? Yes, she did; thank you very much 😏!

PS Quite a few of the dynamics with which Reilly and Camille have to deal are encompassed within this video alone (and the video was a livestream).

Commentary: Plainly Abusive Or Not-Entirely-Willingly Abusive?

Truth be told, people like the abusive person in this video may truly love their partners and are nonetheless abusing them and themselves by doing something for which the partners may need to take the hard step of leaving them: refusing to get treatment for mental illnesses if they can get that treatment.

In the video, the abusive person has Alcoholism for which he is clearly not getting treatment, although he can treatment for Alcoholism. Other mental illnesses which unfortunately can effect people to abuse other people include Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia: when people are in the throes of untreated mental illnesses like that, they're not even aware of what they're doing. According to the Mayo Clinic re Bipolar Disorder alone, "Despite the mood extremes, people with bipolar disorder often don't recognize how much their emotional instability disrupts their lives and the lives of their loved ones and don't get the treatment they need.".

Sometimes, then, the abused partners have to leave and say to their abusive partners something like, "I will come back if you seek the mental-health treatment that you need, and I will be fully supportive of you as you undergo the mental-health treatment. I cannot continue to let you hurt me and, ultimately, hurt yourself, and the only way that you can begin to heal yourself and mend the ties that you have cut is to acknowledge that you have a mental illness and get help for yourself."

#SentimentalSunday: By The Way, When Did Camille Actually Come Home? It Wasn't June 10th After All, Though.

First, an incidental note:

It was actually either June 6^th or 7^th of 2015. If it is the former, "Auntie Nicole" will (God willing) include that in her upcoming book, as for Camille Dominique to have come home on the anniversary of D-Day definitely fits into a "**** That I Can't Make Up" lists of co-incidences with significant historical events. If the latter (which it apparently was), as the photo album that "Auntie Nicole" shared about Camille's homecoming is dated June 7^th , it'll still make the book given that the D-Day offensive lasted for days.
