Unless she was a Talalay by blood, yes. Her maiden name was Rachelle Bersin (I kept remembering “Bresin” for some reason). She was a self-hating Ashkenazi Jews whom bullied fellow Jews, especially if we came from hidden and/or mixed-blooded families and did not fit her stereotypes. Sources include and are not limited to:

Albert Dardashti. Shelley is linked as his spouse. Assuming that this is her, she materially lied about her birthdate unless her parents reported her as three years old when she in fact was not so on the 1950 census in New York. If she lied about her birthdate, she would’ve been in fact been born in 1947 or Late 1946, and only slightly older than her husband—which she apparently made a big deal.
