#MaltipooMonday & #MemoryMonday: An Example Of A Typical Week At La Casa de Reily Rosalita

PS Quite a few of the dynamics with which Reilly and Camille have to deal are encompassed within this video alone (and the video was a livestream).

#ThrowbackThursday: "Reilly And The Squirrel Bone"

Not that Camille doesn't have a penchant for "nasties", though hair, dirt, dust, grass, "bunny beans", and even "nasties" such as squirrel bones(! ) are frequent treats for Reilly in spite of the fact that Reilly knows better!

#TimeTravelTuesday...To Only Yesterday. Still...

Who can deny how cute a puppy who is enjoying belly rubs in pure bliss is? Also, who can deny how cute that belly-rub-enjoying and blissful puppy is when she's enjoying belly rubs from her "Mimi"?

Even better is when the pictures are enlarged:

C(ute collage-maker C)amille loves "belly wubs"!

Somewhat To Mostly Offbeat, And A Little Graphic: #MemoryMonday, #MaltipooMonday, And Who & What Helps Keep "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" Going #MortifyingMondays & Other Bad Days

Just now, Camille shockingly threw up "bunny beans" and left "Auntie Nicole" with a still-cringeworthy image—and needlessly to say, this incident only added to "Auntie Nicole"'s/"Momma"'s mortifying Monday. At least "Auntie Nicole" can relate as well as feel mortified, as she herself began her Monday by throwing up due to nausea because of OCD/Anxiety and other condition. Nonetheless, Camille's own incident was another incident on a "Moan-day"!

As for this morning, Camille and Reilly had to be kept away from something more dangerous than "bunny beans" for them: let "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma" just say that coffee and water may not exactly have helped her stomach at that moment, and even diluted coffee could've killed Camille and Reilly! Of course, "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma" asked them to go into the family room and look out of the window, and have "Mimi"/"Auntie Michelle" get them into the family room and then avert the danger to them.

Consider all of that as they had to deal with an exhausted and not-feeling-well "Auntie Nicole"/"Momma" plus an afternoon thunderstorm that probably included hail, and then understand why they and she had a mortifying Monday—not to mention a not-so-pleasant-at-some-points weekend that effected the Monday to be mortifying enough, including an incident on Friday the 13th which stereotypically did not bode well for either them or her: an incident in which, long story short, her high-school ex-boyfriend contacted her once again after two years despite a police-involved prohibition on doing so.

By the way, "Momma" did explain what happened to Reilly in terms that puppies can understand—and ¡pobrecita Relicita!, having to deal with "Momma" reminding her that this world can be a "very-bad place" because of "not-very-nice people", as well as the flareups that the incident partly effected. Meanwhile, Reilly certainly keeps "Momma" going in so many ways, even when "Momma" can't be the best "Momma" to Reilly. For example:

  1. Reilly prays however puppies can pray when she and "Momma" pray at night¹, as well as other times that "Momma" says "Let's say prayers [or "Let's pray", etc.] for [or about, etc.] for [whomever or whatever]".
  2. She is—even when she behaves badly and doesn't act patient, etc..—a good puppy whom's very patient with, understanding toward, kind to, and loving and friendly to "Momma" and to others (and at least sometimes even to Camille)!
  3. She relishes when friends such as "the Tall Guy"—a family friend and "Auntie Michelle"'s driving instructor"—come over for visits—like he came over for a surprise visit this weekend (See some of the photos below.). To see Reilly relish that helps lift "Momma"'s spirits a little.
Because of this in great part, "Momma" definitely keeps going—and has just made it into Tuesday as Reilly has patiently waited for "Momma" to wrap up for the night.

The brat even licked "the Tall Guy"'s legs (She liked the sweat on the Tall Guy's legs, as he had just gone for a bikeride and inadvertently provided a treat for Reilly!) 🤣

She relatively put up with the camera because she loved the scritches that she was getting and was thus very happy.

Quick #MaltipooMonday From Night-Owl "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole": Sleepy Puppies & Their Weird Human Family, Queen Songs, And Treats

By the way, forgive the video quality—and the weird "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole"—although to be fair to herself, "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" must remind everybody that her Cerebral Palsy makes the videos shaky when the camera is in her hands!

Also, yes, by the way, "Who Wants To Live Forever" was like a lullaby to them (that is, Reilly and Camille)!

Somewhat Offbeat: "International Kissing Day"? As For Reilly and Camille Re Kisses....

  1. Camille oddly enough likes kisses on the head, and she certainly likes giving kisses. Reilly, on the other hand, likes giving kisses and does not like receiving them—and she will even stop anyone who tries to give her a kiss by kissing him or her!
  2. Both Reilly and Camille like giving kisses even to the point of making it hard to breathe for the recipients of the kisses when they reach up to their faces and put their paws on their abdomens to give themselves boosts in order to be able to reach faces!
  3. Both of them will sometimes shun kisses in favor of belly rubs!
  4. "Momma" has actually goofed off with Reilly by using the word "Moo" when she wants kisses—and Reilly will gladly give kisses!
  5. Reilly likes giving kisses to anybody and everybody to whom she can give kisses, even if she's allowed to give them only air kisses or kisses on their hands!

An (Actually-Not-So-) Early (-After-All) Flag Day Card

PS:

  1. Reilly did end up getting low-calorie treats.
  2. "Momma" had no idea that Flag Day is also World Blood Day (Speaking of which, please help "Momma" help the Red Cross to help Ellicott City!). When she saw it on Google, though, that's when she figured out that the pictures with the flashing red stars really worked for the Flag Day card.

#WoofWednesday & a Belated #TuesdayTroubles: No More Treats With A Few Exceptions For A While, Barky Reilly, Etc..

  1. Reilly and Camille currently need their weights watched. Each of them gained about a pound, so their vet wants them to lose some weight. This means that for "Momma"'s/"Auntie Nicole"'s part, she won't be giving either of them treats except for after they "peedy" and/or "pooty" as well as for when Reilly needs a dentastick to clean her teeth. Reilly, though, will be getting broken-in-half dentasticks whenever she gets dentasticks.
  2. "Momnma"/"Auntie Nicole" is working on obedience-without-treats training. Reilly seems to be more acquiescent to, for example, not getting a treat every time that she does tricks or gets in her crate. Camille on the other hand has met the possibility of the reward alternative quite a few times: a certain friend of hers known as the spraybottle, which "Auntie Nicole" had to threaten to use when, for example, she went upstairs without permission and refused to come down without a treat.
  3. Myclonus flareup + spilled oatmeal with milk on the floor = effects of Reilly's and Camille's inappropriate barking, about which "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" was far from happy. She was also far from happy when, for instance, Reilly refused to follow her on multiple instances of the "Follow me" (and variant) commands (By the way, "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole"—forgive the language—got absolutely pissed when "Auntie Michelle"/"Mimi" said that she did not care about the myoclonus flareups when she mentioned them, albe that "Auntie Michelle"/"Mimi" did apologize when "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" corrected her.
  4. Not a Tuesday trouble: Reilly and Camille again had an impromptu playdate with Shelby, "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" heard, and Camille even gave Reilly a few "She's my sister; let me play with her!" pawslaps despite that Reilly was being held back anyway because of her vaccine at the vet's and because she was throwing up from eating "nasties"! Shelby wasn't so afraid to play with Camille after that, as she gets a little afraid of jealous Reilly!
  5. Reilly still has to wear the bark collar at present.
  6.  Not a Tuesday trouble: "Momma" is (Yehovah willing) posting an early Flag Day card later today since she is working the polls on Flag Day (and the next day) for Early Voting. (Reilly won't like that, though, since "Momma" won't be home ☹️.). By the way, she isn't sure if she'll give Reilly a treat for allowing her to take pictures yet, though she may give her a low-calorie treat.
  7. Speaking of #TuesdayTroubles, maybe "Momma" should be include #WednesdayWorries and #WaitingWednesday hashtags since she's still waiting for a certain answer for her and Reilly's sakes—and dangerously slipping (meaning slipping) into extreme night-owl and failing-Reilly territory (i.e., sometimes going "night nights" with an albe-patient Reilly as late as 2:00 to 3:00 AM) again for that reason (among other reasons), as well as getting more gray hairs due to it (and other reasons)—¡pobrecita Reilicita!

Just A Friendly, Albe An Unofficial, Reminder From Reilly Rosalita The Maltipoo For Howard County, Maryland Voters

Full disclosures:

  1. Reilly was bribed with treats to get her to take the pictures and wear her customly-modified shirt.
  2. She did meet now-Executive and -First Lady Kittleman once when she was a very-tiny puppy, since she came home during the time of then-State Senator Kittleman's election campaign.
  3. She is as barky as—or perhaps even more barky than—the speech bubble suggests. By the way, the "Always" and "Never" are, as far as "Momma" knows, "Momma"'s ideas for a revised "People, not Politics" slogan—since "Always People, Never Politics" really does describe Executive Kittleman's philosophy and takes the slogan out of the pantheon of understatements.
  4. "Momma" downloaded free-for-commercial-use Graviola Font after using free online font-analyzer tools. She then used the Graviola font in this Powerpoint-made reminder card in which she also used Canon® camera-taken and Microsoft Windows® Photo Gallery- and Windows® Photos-enhanced photo.
  5. The Early Voting days are on June 14-21, 2018 and October 25-November 1, 2018. "Momma" will be working the polls on some of those days, and on each of the election days 🙂. As far as she knows, Reilly can't come along, though 🙁.
  6. "Auntie Nicole" could not get Camille to wear her own Kittleman shirt even for treats—this is why Camille also did not wear a bow for the Normandy card: e.g., she hates wearing anything except for her harness and her leash when she must wear it!

Belated #FluffyFriday & #FlashbackFriday Post: How Did Reilly & Camille Handle Their Human Family Being In Virginia For 7-8 Hours?

Even though they weren't exactly happy about it, they—according to Shelby's human family—did really well. As "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" forestated—and heard—they even got to spend time with Shelby! When she heard about that, she was pleasantly surprised, since the original plan had been for two of Shelby's family members to:

  1. Come over to see Ri and Cam, and get instructions.
  2. Let them rest in their crates for 2-3 hours.
  3. Check on them and be with them for an hour.
  4. Let them rest in their crates for another 2-3 hours.
  5. Check on them again, feed them dinner, and be with them for another hour.
  6. Let them rest in their crates until their own human family comes back from Virginia.

Of course, Reilly pretty much tried to monopolize the attention, and she even (as "Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" witnessed) did so from the get-go! To say that Reilly went as far to, if one will, try to dominate Camille right in front of their friends and petsitters suffices—though "Mom-Mom" thankfully stopped Reilly's embarrassing antics at home, and Reilly does not seemed to have tried embarrassing Camille at Shelby's house!

Both Reilly and Camille behaved overall, and Camille had a (relatively-)good example in her cousin. Camille also ended up (at least at first) sticking close to her role model while she was adjusting to being on her sister's turf—partly because (obviously) not even being Shelby's older sister would protect her from her cousin's jealously, let alone on Shelby's turf!

After the impromptu playdate and right at about dinnertime, they ended their eventful day by being taken back to their (mostly Reilly's) turf to get fed, resting in their crates after they ate and while they waited for their human family, and greeting them once they came back from Virginia.

Quick #FluffyFriday & #FlashbackFriday Preview: How Did Reilly & Camille Handle Their Human Family Being In Virginia For 7-8 Hours?

Both of them actually did really well. They even got to spend time with Camille's sister Shelby! Of course, Reilly pretty much tried to monopolize the attention. However, she behaved overall. She also was a (relatively-) good example for Camille.

"Momma"/"Auntie Nicole" will detail more later.
