In Order To Mark Three Days Until Her Hebrew ~2.83rd-Year Birthday...

Reilly, the birthday girl, decided to throw up in her "blankie" and a little on the backdoor mat after she had eaten "nasties" and barked for quite a bit of the previous Hebrew day—and as when "Momma" got into trouble for the recent toilet-paper incident, she got into trouble for "not watching her closely" and had to explain that she told Reilly "No nasties" and even thanked her when she drop a "nasty" (a leaf). If Reilly's foreshadowing what "Momma's" 27th year is going to be like for "Momma"...welcome to Hell, "Momma"—as if "Momma"'s life isn't Hell enough or affecting her to be a bad "Momma" to Reilly.

"Momma" & Reilly Kind Of Share Birthdays Next Week & In the Spring, Because...

"Momma" is turning 27 human years old on the 23rd, and Reilly is turning 2.83 human years old on the 25th. On the Hebrew calendar, since the New Moon occured on December 30th, January 23rd is Tevet 25th (when "Momma" was born in 5749—or, by Rabbinical reckoning, 5750)—and (Biblically speaking,) Reilly will have already turned 2.83 human years old on January 21st, or Tevet 23rd (since March 25, 2014 was Second Adar 22-23, 5773).

In other words:

  1. "Momma" was born on a 23rd and 25th.
  2. Reilly was born on a 25th and a 23rd (unless she was born before sunset on the 25th of March)
  3. The 24-year-and-two-month Hebrew birthday of "Momma" occurred on Reilly's Gregorian birthdate, both of which were the 25th day of the month on their respective calendars.
  4. 23 January 2017: 25 Tevet 5776 = 25 March 2014: 23 Second Adar 5773—here, the day numbers reverse for the Gregorian and Hebrew months (and to figure out how to phrase that took "Momma" quite a while, by the way).
  5. What Adar 23 will be this year is to be determined, and Reilly will have to celebrate her third Hebrew birthday on Adar 23 if a Second Adar 5776 does not occur—and whether that coincides with March 25, 2017 (or even March 23, 2017) is to be determined.
Incidentally, "Momma" has a very-specific gift request to יהוה for herself and Reilly on one of their birthdays—and perhaps on the intersection of "Momma"'s two birthdays (which happens 27 years later after sunset, whereas it happened before sunset 27 years ago.).

Reflections On The 27 Club: Because I'm Turning 27 On the 23rd, And Fellow 1990 Babies Will Be 27

The 27 Club: if you live past 27, The 27 Club is good. If you don't live past 27, especially if you're famous...welcome to the 27 Clubat least you're in the company of Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison, among others.

Of course, you don't want to be experienced with the Lord buying you a Mercedes Benz when the heavens stop the rain—if your hearse ends up being a Mercedes Benz and the rains stop, you've experienced the flip side of "Blessed are the deceased on whom the rain falls."

With that said, let's see where my life goes in 13 days...

Unlucky number 13...

Oh boy....

At least my hearse won't be a Mercedes BenzI'm Jewish and I care about what happens after I'm deadeven though I can't come back to haunt anybody if my experience does end up being that my hearse is a Mercedes Benz. At least if the rain falls on me, whoever would buy me a Mercedes Benz will be experienced with what it's like to be going home soaking wet, having to change clothes unless he or she catches a cold, and perhaps also having to leave this earthly realm—man plans; God laughs, and Mercedes Benzes are as good as the spoils that Achan ben Carmi took.

Update: If God is delivering us from Trumpand worse than Trump—in time to give many to-be-27-year-old people a birthday gift, the case seems to be that Ribbentrop just got Molotoved! Man plans; God laughs, and Trump might as well turn himself in to the FBI while he can do so—and hand over his Mercedes Benzes for at least bail money, since he's going to need a lot of it!

Somewhat Offbeat: A Milestone October 11th (And Maybe a "Yom Kippur" Miracle If "Momma"'s Lucky) & Reilly's Afternoon Antics

The October 11th of 2016 is Yom Kippur 5776 & the two-week countdown to Reilly's two-year-and-seventh-month birthday—not to mention:

  1. One month after the painful 15th anniversary of 9/11—and America somehow still stands strongly.
  2. One month before the 98th Anniversary of Armistice Day
  3. The day that is two weeks before Reilly's 2016 seventh-month birthday being on the same day as the Fast of the Seventh Month in 5776.
  4. The day that Reilly would be fasting if puppies—including adult puppies, whom are "bark mitzvahs"—could fast and would have to fast for teshuvah v'kippurim.
While puppies cannot fast and do not have to fast for any reason, let alone l'ma'an teshuvah v'kippurim, especially because of today would Reilly certainly have to fast if she had a mitzvah to be a shomeret HaYom HaKippurim! Being a single "Momma" with a disability, "Momma" certainly had no fun with Reilly's disobedience as Reilly burst out of the back door while she was taking Camille to "go potty"—Reilly, albe unintentionally, added insult to "Momma"'s injurious state in life by making "Momma" chase her around the backyard, try to get her to avoid eating "nasties" such as mulch, and putting a neighbor in a bad position as he or she was unable to help get disobedient Reilly back inside and late leaving for a family obligation as a result—not to mention that the neighbor, even though he or she has recovered from his or her recent surgery, had the surgery only about a month ago.

This is also another reminder of why "Momma" needs a "Daddy" for Reilly as both "Momma" and "Reilly" get older—besides, an as-possible-as-able man would be able to have authority over Reilly than 5'1.75"-and-afflicted-with-CP-and-Scoliosis "Momma". Granted that, for example, the main person who inspired "Momma" to write about Reilly got frustrated when "Momma" once complained about her state in her life—as he understandably viewed "Momma"'s complaining as being a pity-party schtick, as most other people view it because they don't get how hard it is for "Momma".

Still, as "Momma" wrote in her last "Offbeat" post:

"As if "Momma" isn't in enough pain, didn't hope for a miracle on Yom Teru'ah and National Boyfriend Day, and isn't even trying to be a good "Momma" to Reilly! As if "Momma" doesn't think about herself and "Reilly" getting older while "Momma" either needs Reilly's "Daddy" to come into her life soon or might have to end up remaining an alteh moid and being another stereotypical and forced-by-life case of the ableist argument that people with disabilities don't get married because society doesn't love them!

"'Momma' hurts enough for herself and for Reilly, and feels like Daisy in The Great Gatsby did:

"'Through this twilight universe Daisy began to move again with the season...'

"["Momma"'s own "twilight universe" is mental-illness flareups that only exacerbate "Momma"'s injurious situation in life.]"

On that note, may "Momma" have a Yom Kippur miracle and have God break her forced fast known as being single with little to no hope of having a "Daddy" for Reilly unless by some miracle. Whether "Momma" will observe the tzom l'Yom Kippur, by the way, is nobody's business but her business and God's business.

By the way, Reilly came back inside after the last time that "Momma" bribed her with yogurt—and Camille got extra yogurt for being a good girl and waiting patiently inside while "Auntie Nicole" had to chase Reilly, had to admonish Reilly several times, pray to a God whom seemed to be not helping her out at quite a few points, try to bribe Reilly with multiple treats (e.g., turkey, yogurt, peanut butter), try to trick her (e.g., "Is Mom-Mom home?"; "Let's go get some salmon."), and otherwise try to get her to go back inside after she explicitly disobeyed "Momma" by bursting out into the backyard as "Momma" was trying to get out through the doorway with Camille.

Also incidentally, as Reilly turns two weeks older and perhaps more stubborn, Reilly's 2016 seventh-month birthday will be wedged right in between what would've been "Momma"'s great-granddad Czarnecki's 112th birthday and his paternal grandmother's 178th birthday—and her namesake granddaughter's 119th birthday (and if only she'd've lived to 120 years instead of died in her 51st year of Breast Cancer!), By the way, "Momma" talks to Reilly about her human family all of the time—and speaking of family, Reilly's twice-removed cousin Shelby turns a year old on October 20th!

Are The Terrible Two-And-A-Halfs Setting In? "Momma" Thinks So.

As Reilly gets ready to celebrate her 2.5-years birthday, "Momma" thinks that the Terrible Two-And-a-Halfs are setting in for Reilly. Reilly, for example, decided to bite "Auntie Michelle" and consistently jump back onto "Mom-Mom"'s bed when "Auntie Michelle" was trying to save her from choking on a toy, and then she deliberately decided to eat "nasties" when "Auntie Michelle" took her outside to "go potty"—not to mention that she tried to not look at "Momma" when "Momma" gave her a talk about it.

More of Camera-Hating Reilly, And...

Shelby turned 11 months old today; and she'll be followed by to-be-2.5-years-old Reilly on the 25th, and to-be-1.5-years-old Cam on the 27th. Meanwhile, you haven't seen how Reilly hates the camera and tries to avoid it if you thought that she hates the camera as she indicated when the aide took the pictures of Reilly while "Momma" was stretching:

By the way:

  1. Reilly and Camille wish all September babies happy birthdays.
  2. "Momma" thinks that she knows and would like to know whom Reilly's biggest fan besides "Momma" might be:  someone from either California, North Carolina (or Iowa, as his or her IP address seems to be registered in North Carolina while his or her location seems to be Iowa), Maryland, or Pennsylvania—of course, "Momma" would never share which cities without the express permission of the possible biggest fans (or fan if he or she uses different locations, devices, and/or IP addresses for whatever reason); and Feedjit and Clustrmaps are useful tools to know, e.g., who's engaging with Reilly's page.

Sort-Of Formal Birthday Wishes To September And Half-Year Babies From Reilly

Let's just say that Reilly is not very good with formal birthday wishes, especially when she's sleepy. Knowing Reilly as well as "Momma" does, though, "Momma" knows that Reilly would wish all September babies and half-year babies—especially family, family friends, and friendshappy birthdays, and would love to catch up with and/or meet especially the family, family friends, and friends. Reilly loves to meet and greet people, after all, despite her lack of being good with formal birthday wishes.

September Birthdays, Including Half Birthdays—And Including Those Of Two Adult Puppies

Reilly and Camille will have their half-a-year birthdays this month, with Reilly being 2.5 years old and Cam now being an official adult puppy at 1.5 years old—and puppies do grow up so quickly. This is how they looked before and after their last half-a-year birthdays, by the way:

Camille on September 21, 2015

Camille on September 28, 2015—right after her half-a-year birthday.
Reilly on September 21, 2015.

Reilly on September 29, 2015.

And...

Reilly on her last half-a-year birthday!

Meanwhile, Reilly and Camille have the same month for their half-a-year birthdays as some family members, family friends, and friends of mine have for their yearly birthdays—and if you're one of the family members, family friends, or friends whom was born in September (or if you're another September Baby), Happy Birthday from me (Reilly's "Momma") and Reilly! By the way, anyone who was born in September also shares a birthday month with one of Ri's and Cam's favorite seasons—Autumn!

My Hebrew Birthdate(?)

I'm working on getting the correct date, though I have the date of 26 Tevet 5770 (really, 26 Tevet 5769). I was born on January 23, 1990, and I downloaded the Israeli New Moon Society archive table to find if January 1990 and Tevet 5749 coincided at all. Only three dates were listed for 1990, and none of them were in January of 1990. So, I wasn't going to find out what January 23, 1990 was.

I have been able to learn and observe, however, that the Biblical calendar (which factors in the Aviv Barley) and the P'rushi calendar coincide to some extent (and they actually sometimes exactly coincide. This month of Tevet 5774/"5775", they did not exactly coincide. I originally thought that they did, though I guess that I was tracking it on my own copy of the P'rushi calendar and put "Tevet 1 if not earlier.". I thought that my copy put Tevet 1 on December 23rd or 24th.).

So, then, here's what I've been able to calculate:

  1. I originally thought that my Hebrew birthday was on January 18, 2015 at sundown.
  2. I went back and looked at a moon-phases calendar (I originally tried the one from the Israeli New Moon Society. It didn't download.).
  3. I looked at the traditional Hebrew date again.
  4. I looked at the traditional start of Tevet 5749/"5750" (December 28, 1989. On December 29, 1989, it was the day of Tevet 1, 5749; since Hebrew days are evening-and-morning days.).
  5. I saw that the New Moon was actually on December 29, 1989.
  6. So, then, began the count.
  7. The conclusion....
I was born on Tevet 25, 5749. Thus, I will be 25 on....today. Well, Happy Birthday to me and a Peaceful Sabbath to all (ליום הולדת שמח ללי ושבת שלום לכולם.). Meanwhile, I took a while to calculate this since math is not my strongsuit.
